Smog is an issue in Mumbai but this hotel is located near a loading area of large ships, making pollution extreme (The adjacent building is under construction (1/23)). It is the only hotel in Mumbai I have been to with no air filtering. Your tissue will be blackened after use as proof of it. Avoid if you are concerned with your health. Bldg has four floors and stayed on the top one.
Grand Hotel gave us an old-world flair experience in a 100 year old building filled with history. We stayed in a harbour room only accessible by a classic staircase which we reminsced on the way to the room every day. The elevator is one that you can expect to find in classic black & white movies with soft music playing. In our room, we got to enjoy the sight of sea eagles in the mornings as well as other marine birds in the area. The hotel is situated at a convenient & safe location with access to popular sites in Mumbai. It is a well-maintained property and kept very clean. All staff including, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping provided us great attention and care throughout our stay and ensured that we have a pleasant time at the hotel. We would definitely come back again and hope that it is very soon.…
The Grand was never a luxury property, but it was comfortable and had an old-world charm. Sadly, it is neither. The rooms are large, but that’s how they were constructed back in the day. All that is in the room just happens to be there, with not a thought for your convenience or comfort, or for aesthetics. Amenities provided are at the minimal level, as if to tick off a list with an eye on keeping costs down. There is no bar, and room service closes at 10:30 pm. The menu, common to room service and the only restaurant, is, again, minimal – in variety and taste. The housekeeping and room service staff are well meaning but appear singularly untrained. I’m not going there again.
Had booked Grand Hotel for an engagement function. Loved the venue with the heritage structure. Quite, peaceful and very quaint. The complete staff was really helpful and especially MR Shyam from management was very cooperative and assisted us with everything. Would highly recommend the the banquet area for a small function. Cheers.
100 years old building.Heritage one they preserved and maintaining is too good.Dont expect modern style . They really have kept things quite simple in menu and room .It's a one time experience . Wifi is good, location is good Food is not having much options as it's 3 star but food is tasty M
Very hospitable and polite staff. They even take care of little things. Clean, reasonable and nice hotel in one of the nicest places in Mumbai. Close to Gate of India. We were putting up for a wedding for a few days and were absolutely comfortable. Highly recommended!
Ambience was clean, and food was nice. All the safety protocols were followed at the time of check-in. It was my 1st time in Grand Hotel and your entire team made me feel special. Thank you and God Bless you all.
awesome for heritage, but food was not at all good, even comparing to cheap restaurants. They used good quality of products but, there was no taste. All touristy places on walking distance h bhcjghjjvgnvnjgkccivivivivdufucuvivucucjvivivivk
Grand hotel is of the best property to visit in Mumbai. They have really big rooms, clean bed and hygienic food. The interior was classic as it's a heritage property and we are totally satisfied by the hospitality & amazing service by the staff.
