My experience at Abode Bombay was outstanding and exceeded my expectations! This was my first visit to India and the Abode staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, happy to help with any question or accommodation. As a solo traveler, I felt very well cared-for. I stayed in one of the mid-level "Simple" rooms (Room #101) and the atmosphere was perfect, exactly what I wanted for a cute, quiet spot to rest after long days in busy Mumbai. The bed was comfortable and made for a sound night's sleep. Hardly any street noise was detectable, and the complimentary ear plugs effectively blocked the slight noise from the morning breakfast service. My room's A/C worked great, and I really appreciated that the staff provided a daily pitcher of filtered water for drinking. WiFi worked well, occasional re-connection required but this wasn't a problem. My primary language is English and I was pleased that the TV had a few English-language channels--I caught up Australia's recent season of The Bachelor! My en suite bathroom offered a hair dryer as well as toiletries including soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I have sensitive skin, and all of the products were fine for me to use. I liked that there were a lot of shelves in the bathroom and shower so that could easily store my own personal items. I used the hotel laundry service a couple of times and it worked extremely well. The prices are very reasonable, and the turnaround time was quick. In by 9 am, back by ~7 pm; in after 9 am, back the next morning. I was impressed with how carefully my clothes were folded, tagged, and wrapped upon return. Breakfast each morning was always lovely, with a variety of Indian and non-Indian items. Egg dishes and toast were cooked to order. In the afternoons the dining room hosted complimentary food and beverage events for guests. For meals outside of the hotel, Abode is located near many excellent options--I had delicious food very nearby at Leopold's, The Table, Bademiya, and Bombay Vintage. Overall, the location was perfect for me and I quickly learned the 15-20 minute walk to Churchgate Station to catch the Mumbai Locals and meet up with tour groups. There is also a good-sized supermarket very close to Abode but you may not find it easily on your own--just ask the hotel staff for directions. Of note, Abode can arrange airport pick-up and drop-off using a taxi service that is staffed by female drivers. I used this and it was so nice to have a stress-free pick-up at the airport upon arrival. Definitely worth the price, which to me seemed reasonable given the distance to the airport. All in all, I have only very good things to say about Abode Bombay! I definitely recommend this hotel for solo travelers or anyone else visiting Mumbai. I would absolutely return, as staying here was among the many highlights of my Mumbai experience.

What we will remember from the Abode Hotel in Mumbai is the kindness of the staff, the efficiency of their service (we booked 2 city tours through them). The hotel serves some street food for breakfast which is a good solution to try it safely. The location is perfect. However the AC is not properly functioning so much that the air becomes toxic in the room: after a whole night of sleep (no sleep actually so much warm it was) the quality of the air is the equivalent of the one in a wine cave. This is really bad and i really hope they will do serious improvement to their equipment because their could be healthy safety issues.

Spent 3 nights here whilst visiting Mumbai. It is situated in Colaba just behind the Taj so easy access to gateway to India, restaurants and shopping. We walked most places although the road was being dug up which made access difficult during our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful so it felt like staying in their home. Decor was arty vintage and eco aware. Good social values added to the vibe. Wished COVID hadn’t put a stop to their massages offered from a local blind school. Even went out and got me Gluten Free bread for breakfast. Hoping that the current ban on tourism doesn’t have a devastating effect on their business and they can pick up when things return to normal

We are so pleased we managed to find Abode to stay on our trip everyone was so friendly and welcoming and this really does make a difference. The rooms were well comfortable and equipped. The hotel prides itself on being environmentally sustainable which is super. The breakfast was delicious and service quick everyday. The hotel is in the centre of Colaba and easy to get to. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and thank everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
