Excellent location for all the key sights. Really welcoming feel by all the staff; they are friendly, professional and really take care of their guests. Cell phones are provided for each room with the hotel's number coded in so you can easily call them for help with language barriers, directions etc. Seems to be very eco friendly - filtered water provided in guest bedrooms. We stayed in the "Simple" rooms. Nice quality refillable big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Hairdryers available on request. My bathroom was a bit small but fine for just me for a couple of nights. My friend's room was a bit bigger. Small windows but into an alleyway so they are not light, bright rooms. But it is a perfect location, small hotel for a very reasonable price so to be expected. …
Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Colaba. We had by far the best hotel room I’ve ever had - we booked the Superior Luxury room and couldn’t have hoped for more of our Mumbai home. The room was a great size, decorated impeccably, comfy bed and a great bathtub! Wonderful team who made our stay - so welcoming and helpful. Lovely touches such as flowers in our room! Breakfast was great and the communal space is wonderful. Great coffee!! We did two day trips via the hotel and these were also fantastic!
We had a great stay, I highly recommend Adobe Hotel. The location is unbeatable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are a little tight but quite funcional and with a great atmosphere.
Great location, great staff, best breakfast ( especially the sour dough toast! ) Nilesh and his staff made us very welcome and always checked to see if there was anything we required. Nothing was too much trouble. Can highly recommend the superior luxury room with bath
Lovely original building that is beautifully presented. Great food and even better coffee with a focus on sustainability and supporting the local area. Staff were very helpful checking in with us and sharing ideas for activities. Organised an early morning tours of a range of markets that was eye-opening and fabulous. Our room was very large and had a bath overlooking the street. All 5 mins walk from India Gate and Taj Mahal Palace Hotel both must-see places.
I was intitially going to give a bad review for this hotel. The room we were given was small and with a roadside window noisy. The room had a shower and basin but it was a 20 metres walk to the well kept toliet room with 3 unisex toilets (Yikes!). I was unhappy enough to complain and immediately Nilesh was there and provided us with a quite room which was only 10 metres to the toilet. I should mention the head room is not amazing either and ducking 3 times on the way to the loo is mandatory. We booked via an Agent after my wife chose the hotel based on it's great reviews. We didn't see anything about the shared toilet or the head height. After being there for two days we understood. This is a boutique heritage hotel and there are many restictions as to what can be done with the building. So it is what it is. And it is a wonderful experience with character and charm. What really made our stay was the staff and the service they provided.…
It's my second visit to Abode and I look forward to a third. The staff are wonderful, the breakfast is divine, and I've stayed in three rooms, all different and all lovely. It's also wonderfully located, a minute from the Gateway of India and an easy walk to museums, galleries, etc.. I travel alone and find it a beautifully safe haven.
From start to finish the thing by that sets Abode apart is how their staff take care of you. Of course the stylish comfortable rooms, convenient location and awesome breakfast don’t let the place down, but Norbert and Nilesh will go the extra mile to help you and it makes all the difference. Fabulous stay!
Great location and people. Small and quirky, lovely hangout! Our room was fab and breakfast excellent. Location suited us very well, close to some great introductions to Mumbai and restaurants. Definitely one to recommend!
I arrived at Abode at 2am after a flight from London and sadly found the check-in annoyingly slow, bordering on inefficient. My room was disappointing and certainly didn’t live up to the photos on the hotel’s website. After a good night’s sleep and an enjoyable breakfast, I asked to change rooms and was allocated a delightful alternative. Things were looking up! The location of Abode is great and the café is lovely. The daytime staff were very friendly, helpful and kind. In an expensive city, the hotel offers decent, if not brilliant, value for money. (I’ve long had a hunch that solo travellers are often allocated the least good rooms. Note to self: always ask if there are options before settling for the first room offered.)
