From the moment we arrived, we felt as though we might be royalty. We were welcomed into the hotel and the reception staff were so helpful polite and professional. We were shown to our room, a lovely room on the 5th floor with a view of the sea. The hotel is a art Deco themed and so it feels oppulent. The room was lovely and clean and the house keeping staff really l looked after us. We really liked the fact that there was a dressing room between the bathroom and the bedroom that gave us space for our suitcases etc. We had his and her sinks in the bathroom and a bath aswell as a powerful shower. Manju was so good to us and her staff personalised the bar snacks and drinks to our taste. The restaurant was fabulous, so many dishes to choose from and because I have specific dietary needs the staff there went to an extra effort to accommodate me. The food was soooo good. I miss it, even now..😊 We really couldn't fault the restaurant staff. They often had to deal with locals that don't think they should be kind or polite but the staff were always so professional so hard working and always polite. We lived going up to the roof a at sunset for a swim. The view is fantastic.Thank you to all of you for making our trip so great,so enjoyable. See you all again soon.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days largely as we wanted a centrally located spot in South Bombay. ...it was also a hotel we had stayed at after my wife and I got married nearly 20 years ago.
The location certainly met our needs as we went frequently to CCI, Bombay Gym and visited a few folks in Malabar Hill. The service also was quite friendly and attentive from the front desk to the servers in the restaurant.
We stayed in a executive suite with a partial ocean view. It was handy having that extra seating area as we had a number of guests stop by.
I would describe the furniture and amenities as satisfactory but not plush...I would certainly not put it in a 5* category but then again, we also paid less than other nearby hotels were charging for stays over Christmas so you get what you pay for.
We hosted a lunch for a few friends...the starters of seekh kebab, calamari, lotus stem and paneer tikka were really good, but the buffet spread itself was sub par. So if I had to do it again, I'd probably do it at another restaurant as the charge for the buffet is generally Rs 2k/person.
The location did allow us to walk on Marine Drive, which certainly was a big plus.
All in all, it did meet our expectations.

This hotel is in my opinion one of the best in Mumbai. The sea facing rooms are truly breathtaking with uninterrupted views of the sea. The rooms are spacious and modern. The hotel is situated on Marine Drive with easy access to major attractions such as the Gateway To India. The staff in the hotel are also very friendly and helpful. Don't know who they bribed to get five stars, as the quality is two stars at the maximum. Rooms are small, dirty, old-fashioned, the lobby is a joke, breakfast selection is very small, the breakfast hall is smokey from cooking, the WiFi is super unreliable and goes on and off constantly, the pool is tiny. Only good point is (in case you have a sea view) the view on Marine Drive.

A great location on Marine Drive, and easy 20 min walk across to Colaba. The views from our seaview room on the 5 th floor were excellent despite the pollution and there was always something to see on the foreshore day and night, it also proved to be a great place to stretch the legs. The service at the hotel was excellent from check in and throughout our stay. The breakfasts were a highlight, the food was plentiful and varied and the wait staff were attentive, especially Priyal whose service and personal attention was second to none. He made sure we were looked after and had everything we could need, including hot tea and coffee to hen we liked it. We couldn't have been looked after any better, he made out stay especially memorable. We'll be back!

I was given a stay at Hotel Marine Plaza, thru my organization as I was relocating to Mumbai. Three things here that work the most for me are Location (r8 opp. to Marine Drive), food and staff/service. I enjoyed the breakfast. The staff was very professional yet warm. A person called Nilambar from the house keeping team, I remember used to do everything so diligently and was very warm too. Another sweet yet professional person from house keeping , if I remember correctly was Deepak Chauhan. The day before I was leaving he wished me for a happy and safe journey and I was touched . And lastly the whole decor is also stunning, kinda oozes luxury. I just wish if I could have got a room with sea view. When I was leaving the place, I actually felt that I would love to visit the place again 😊

Hotel Marine Plaza is such a little gem. This was my second time staying here, as a gift to myself. I love the tranquil relaxing sea view and the pretty art deco design of the interiors, including the incredible glass elevators. Breakfast is always impeccable, with views of the bay. Priyal was a great server who was kind enough to prepare hot water with honey for me when I told him that I had a cold. This is going above and beyond!
The only thing that's missing compared to the last time I stayed there was the daily newspaper and 4pm snacks that used to be delivered to the room. I wish they would bring those back.

They upgraded us since we were 3 people and the room was excellent. The staff were very courteous and obliging at all times. The hall mark is that they have two side rods in the bath tub which helps very much senior citizen like me. The breakfast was palatable but not very tasty, the spread was very limited for vegetarians and they have it in first floor which we have to go by staircase only creating huge problems like me but since it is medieval hotel i understand. The room facing sea was awesome. Over all we enjoyed it thoroughly . I sincerely recommend it without any hesitation as such.

The Allamanda terrace restaurant is a lovely rooftop restaurant at Hotel Marine Plaza which is a pool side restaurant and serves North Indian and Mughlai cuisine.
It's a perfect spot for a date night or a celebration.
They have a set menu and serve appetizers at the table.
We started off with some chilled virgin mary, papad and salad.
They served 4 kinds of Vegetarian kebabs since we are Vegetarian. (they serve non vegetarian too)
We loved the corn seekhs most. They were cooked perfectly and really delicious.
For mains we had dal makhani, tadka dal, rice, assorted breads, paneer makhani and mixed vegetables.
The dal makhani was delicious.
For dessert they had moong dal halwa and phirni. Both were good.
Overall a good place to visit.
