I stayed at this hotel for two reasons - this is bang in the middle of the tourist district of Colaba and second - it's not very far from the Mumbai marathon starting point - my primary reason for visiting Mumbai this time. We (my wife and I) were given a room on the second floor on Day 1. The check-in was easy and the room was fairly spacious. Thus far - no issue at all. However, once we came back from dinner, the pub downstairs - it's called Havana, started blaring dance music till 1AM in the morning. It was quite a struggle to sleep and we vented out our anger at the guys manning the front office. Next morning, we were woken up by the noise of the vacuum cleaning machine next door. We love this Hotel and its surroundings for shopping, nearby restaurants etc. Its clean and comfortable with a good Restaurant downstairs and very cooperative Staff. BUT I have one issue with the Hotel and that is the shower entrance. We would love the glass opening to be opened more so that its easy entrance to the shower. I would like the Manager to bring this to the Owners attention. Its such a good hotel.

Stayed at Gordon's house for a few nights whilst visiting Mumbai. The location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing with it being just round the corner for the taj palace, Gateway of India and some beautiful gardens and markets. Everything is just a short taxi/walk away. The room we had was spacious with a comfy bed and lovely view. My only criticism about the room was the entrance to shower was not built for a wider person. The staff were friendly and fantastic, they helped with taxi arrangements and nothing was to much. Breakfast was simple but brilliant, a varied menu of hot and cold food available and copious amounts of coffee/tea and juice available.

Located in the heart of Colaba, moments from the Gateway of India and walking distance from Victoria Terminus. The location really is second to none. Really good value and an excellent breakfast served by lovely staff. Doormen all very kind and helpful too (especially Vicky). Only complaint would be the size of the bathroom, which was absolutely tiny and difficult to manoeuvre around.

Fabulous little hotel hidden away. The rooms are beautifully kept and very comfortable. Breakfast was superb and bottomless. The staff were so friendly and eager to assist. The location is perfect, in walking distance to gateway of India, Taj palace and tower and the art district. The price was very reasonable too. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mumbai to see the sights.

Very glad we picked this handy hotel for an overnight stay after arriving in Mumbai. It's right at the heart of things, close to the Gateway of India and with plenty of restaurants and bars close at hand. It's clean, efficient, the breakfast bar is adequate though I'm not sure why the main bar area as a Cuban theme (and is too loud for my liking). Check in and out fairly painless, wi-fi worked well, everything was as it should be but the best thing about it is the boutique feel and the great location.

Stayed here for 3 nights right after arriving in India. Wonderful staff, perfect location, and reasonably priced for the area. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend! Would stay here again.

This hotel is lovely, breakfast good and the staff very helpful it is in a great location next to the Gatewat to India and the Colaba Causeway. However whatever you do NOT have a room on the 2nd floor I had a country room and this is right next to the reception area which is noisy and right above the nightclub! Maybe the 4th floor is better, I had been told the nightclub was on a lower floor when I booked but it was right underneath my room! I had asked for a room away from the nightclub and I think I ended up with the noisiest one! Hardly had any sleep and so tired on my last day which is not great when I was going sightseeing and flying onto another destination. Fine location, just at the back of Regal Cinema. Easy walking to load of attractions. Excellent staff, who made us feel at home. Early check in, after a long flight, was really appreciated. Comfortable room, clean and practical. Good shower and well air conditioning. Super housekeeping staff. The concierge Vicky and Vijay, were great. Good value for Mumbai. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty boutique hotel right behind the Taj. But it's not cheap and if you stay over the weekend, you'll pay £100 a night to not sleep The bar downstairs, owned by the hotel, plays full volume music until 2.0 a.m. The management know the guests are being disturbed because everyone complains, but do nothing. So much for service and caring for your guests. Do something, Gordon House. You're losing guests.
