We were 5 middle-aged brit women on an independent tour of India. We had arranged taxi collection from he hotel and they were timely and helpful. We had booked 3 rooms months ahead and were a little disappointed that one of our party was on a separate floor. The rooms were fine but bathroom tiny and disproportionate. This would influence my decision to stay again in the future. Our shower wasn't working and we were offered a change of room. We declined as we were unpacked and had arranged to meet up with friends and did not have time. we were given access to a shower- initially on the floor below. We have noted your feedback about the bathrooms being small but let me assure you that being a city Hotel, this is the average size of the bathroom you would find in most of the Hotels. However, with regards to the shower , i would like to personally apologize for the fact you had to face inconvenience because of this and though you were given an alternate room, the staff did not offer to shift your room the next day . I have shared your feedback with my team to ensure that the issue would would be redressed and you receive the highest level of service on your next visit. This place is in a super location, right opposite the Gateway to India. Service is pretty good, although we did have to wait for a room even though I asked for early check-in as we were flying in early morning. Breakfast is decent with freshly cooked options on order. Rooms are basic but good. There is a club in the hotel - very convenient but you may not like noise. We were shattered so didn't bothered us. Concierge very helpful in arranging things.

We had taken a note of your early check-in request but since we have a low inventory of rooms , we could not allot you a room as early as you had requested as usually we do give rooms for early arrivals provided we have a vacant room available . This hotel has nearly as good a position as the Taj! Literally only a two minute walk to the Gateway of India it cannot be beaten for location. The staff are lovely and friendly. Nice touches in the room were a bowlful of sweets and always two chocolates at turn down. Cannot fault the tea,coffee facilities either The rooms (3rd floor “Country”) were throughly clean and the bed was comfy. Recommend to the budget conscious.

Very nice breakfast, big variety,tasty and fresh.. clean rooms and place. Nice and friendly staff. I good to relax in crazy Mumbai . great location also!!!! Not the best view but bearable... important to know there is a club inside , but where we slept it wasn’t noisy ( reception floor)

The Gordon House Hotel has an attentive staff, great prices, choice of restaurants, and a concierge who will guide you to wherever you want to visit safely within this cool and bubbling city, the centerpiece of Mumbai. You can't beat the location. It is minutes from the India Gate and prime tourist location, very busy and bustling area. Kind staff, welcomed with a drink and a helpful concierge. The rooms were a bit dated with very firm beds and a small bathroom, no extraordinary amenities. Overall it was a clean, enjoyable place to stay.

We recently stayed at Gordon's house for a few nights whilst visiting Mumbai. The location of this hotel is just perfect just round the corner for the, Gateway of India.. Everything is just a short walk away, and taxi easily available outside the hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious with a comfy bed. The shower room was bit small, but the shower water was excellent with good force. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but brilliant, a varied menu of hot and cold food available. The restaurant downstairs serving wok food is excellent.

The location is brilliant to say the least. Excellent value for money. The rooms are large and clean. The bathrooms are a little small but spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I was on the second floor and there was noise from the pub / bar that is located on the first floor. Some of the rooms have cigarette smell.

The Gordon House Hotel is a surprising gem in the heart of the historic centre of Colaba. Leaving the madness of the Mumbai streets with all its noise and mayhem we entered the tranquility of this little chic hotel. We were upgraded to the Versailles suite which was uniquely decorated to a high standard. The suite was huge and although you have to get used to the mirrored walls and doors - slightly off putting when you're looking a bit travel weary, it was fun none the less! The staff couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was good. Great location for all the great restaurants and sites in this area of trendy Mumbai.
