We stayed for three nights and the hotel is in a great location for exploring Mumbai. The staff were helpful - there was some confusion around an early morning taxi booking and someone from the hotel kindly found one nearby for us. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the service in the restaurant was excellent. We were pleased with our room and housekeeping. Overall, a very good stay!

Nice hotel, good staff. Like previous posts, try to get a room on 3rd floor as the nightclub gets a bit loud till 1.30. Bed very hard and bathrooms tiny, but all well maintained and managed. Breakfast ok.

I stayed 4 nights at the Gordon House during a recent visit to Mumbai when my usual hotel jacked up its rates to nose bleed level. The Gordon House was close by and while a bit lower down the star scale still mostly fitted my needs. I was given a room on the 4th floor which is touted as the "Scandinavian" floor. I am not sure what that means apart from having a blonde wood floor but being higher and at the back of the building meant little or no street noise which is always a bonus in Mumbai. On one night I returned after midnight to be greeted with unbelievably loud music and shouting from the hotel bar which is on a mezzanine off the entrance and was then very surprised to find no noise audible once I reached my room. I stayed here for 1 night stay on a business trip. The hotel is converted from an old house into a good hotel. I would summarize my experience as follows: PROS: 1. Smooth check-in and checkout. 2. Clean and tidy rooms (though a bit small in size) 3. Comfortable bed, sleep. 4. Awesome breakfast and dining space. 5. Perfect location (close to gateway of india). CONS: 1. Very small bathroom/Toilet. 2. Fairly small rooms, though neat and tidy. 3. Don't expect family entertainment. This is for business travellers. I made a good deal though makemytrip app. Overall experience is very good.

This place is located in Colaba and the rooms are designed on Scandinavian style decor but do not match up to it. There is no gym or swimming pool. The view from the rooms is pathetic which looks into other apartments. The bathrooms are cramped. During the night the music from adjacent bar knocks on your ears. They get limited editions of Newspapers and you have to read in the lobby or the restaurant. Staff is courteous and the breakfast menu is average with limited spread. The restaurant serves Chinese food for dinner and if you need to eat Indian food you must have in your room only - racism in this age!!!! Overall not a very good experience.

We would like to inform you that though the Hotel does not have a swimming pool and gym within the premises , we have a tie-up with a gym / swimming pool which is located nearby. We also provide the morning newspaper daily in every room in addition to different editions of newspapers kept in the All Stir Fry restaurant which serves you morning breakfast and the Hotel reception lobby . We would like you to thank you for kind words of appreciation for our Hotel staff .With regards to your feedback about the breakfast menu being limited, I would like to inform you that we have a wide variety of items in the breakfast menu and if you had brought this to the notice of our staff at the time of breakfast, they would have certainly assisted you on the same. We also do serve our room guests Indian cuisine in the All Stir Fry restaurant though we shall look into your feedback why this was not done in your case. We stayed 3 nights in one of the Scandinavian rooms. Simply decorated, but every need catered for.......tea and coffee making, robe and slippers, daily newspaper, toiletries etc. And the best shower of the trip! Many choices for breakfast, and helpful staff. (Try the Dosa). Step out of the front door and Colaba is on your door step. Leopolds In one direction and the Taj Hotel and the Gateway, the other. After a day of walking around the World Heritage sites you can wander back to the hotel's Havana Bar, for bar food and cheap beer, and a live band or DJ.

The Gordon House Hotel, located behind Regal Cinema, Colaba Mumbai is a 4 star heritage property with European styled themed rooms - Mediterranean, Country and Scandinavian themes on each of the 2nd ,3rd and 4th floor, a meeting room on the top floor , a Havana themed pub and a fine dining Oriental cuisine restaurant on the 1st and ground floor respectively. The property has a overall casual and pleasant vibe to it located centrally among the guzzling busy Colaba Causeway market. And that's the main advantage of staying in this property. The reception is located on the second floor and check-in was smooth. Tastefully done Room Decor An eye for details for everything inside the room and the washroom The hotel is located in the heart of South Mumbai just behind the Gate Way & The Taj Hotel on one side and Regal Cinema on the other side. Comfortable and immaculately clean room. This is not my first visit and definitely not my last either and I always look forward to a stay at Gordon House.

Its a cozy hotel located in the most prime of the locations, i.e. Colaba, and just about 300m from Gateway of India. The room was spacious, we were 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids). The hotel staff was courteous. All Stir Fry restaurant was also very good, food was delicious, the restaurant staff was very friendly. Overall a big thumps up to the hotel. I'd love to stay here even during my future trips.

So Far this has been the best Boutique hotel I have come across. I was there to celebrate my birthday along with my fiance. Right from the check in till the check out the entire experience was flawless. It was so kind of them to surprise us with a delicious chocolate cake. We had called for room service and it was excellent. A big thanks to the Housekeeping team for surprising us with a lovely Towel art. We also went to the Havana Cafe and we're enjoying great Music and drinks aside. The breakfast at the All stir Fry restaurant was extremely delicious, all though the spread was minimal but the staff were really attentive and interactive. We had a lovely time . Thank you For the lovely experience, we would highly recommend this property .
