We had a lovely time at the hotel, with pleasant staff, clean rooms, and a good breakfast. It's the ideal hotel to stay at if you want to wander about the Fort and Colaba area. But while the stay itself was lovely, the finance and accounting department has been quite the opposite. The room rate was debited from my account twice, and after following up for many weeks I was told it was my bank/my fault, as it was credited only once. As proof the bank needed a copy of the statement which the hotel refused to share. Also, understandable, but when I had to ask them to share some proof that it was credited only once, I was told to wait another 5 business days, after waiting 35 business days. This hotel is situated in a small side street behind the Regal Cinema, just a five minute walk from the Gateway of India. It is a calm and peaceful hotel away from the bustling nearby strees. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the place is immaculate and there is an excellent breakfast - what more to ask?

We had a very pleasant stay at the Gordon House Hotel. The manager, Mr. Ketan and his team were very accommodating to our requests. The hotel is centrally located and has all tourist attractions in the vicinity.

Steve and Beth couldn't have been more gracious hosts. Our luggage got lost on our flight to Glasgow 5 days earlier and they went out of their way to launder our clothes and assist us in rerouting our luggage. Beth's laugh is contagious and they both had great recommendations for food in town and in other towns. Our room was on the corner of the street with beautiful views and full amenities. Breakfast was delicious and a wonderful start to a long day of touring. We highly recommend you experience the Highland hospitality at the Gordon House.

We had booked Gordon House for a few days and after the first day we noticed that the windows didn't open and the room lacked ventilation (and had a damp smell). My partner was uncomfortable and we let housekeeping know. The next day, we could not sleep the whole night as my partner had serious breathing trouble due to the lack of ventilation. She had to get on an inhaler (steroidal) to which right after dawn we checked out and asked for a refund, packing our bags at 7 am to find another hotel. All this while the management was completely unhelpful and two weeks later have REFUSED us the refund despite knowing all our concerns. The management is completely unhelpful, insensitive and shockingly rude to someone with health conditions. Food is awful at the place (breakfast full…

Amazing stay and the staff was great, friendly and alway helpful, this little gem was very central for us and very quiet, clean and nice atmosphere. Lots of very nice restaurants around to choice from and 5 min walk to take the fairy to the Elephanta caves.

I mean I can’t say enough good or nice things about this hotel, from the staff, to the doormen, everyone was just the best. I was only supposed to stay a couple nights and much to my dismay my trip had an unfortunate change and they quickly and kindly accommodated my needs to stay longer without any problems. Clean, large, comfortable rooms, on-site restaurant, in room tea kettle and drinking water. I would definitely stay here again no questions asked, great hotel.

The room was so pleasant to the eye, nice warm atmosphere. Food wise need to have more variety offered. Only puris with curry, a bit too oily to my taste. I found out there was dosa when somebody was asking for it. Training for the staffs both in the kitchen and on reception is definitely required. I asked for more sandwiches, he replied with yeah, coming. It is always nice to be courteous. At the reception two staffs were talking about me in hindi, which I perfectly understand. So sad. Hope Management will take my suggestion on board.thanks
