The age old adage of never judge a book by its cover. The drive up to the main building is stunning as is the building itself creating a sense of a luxury experience. Sadly the only thing I can rave about is the bar and the staff who where attentive and amazing at their job. The restaurant staff seemed to have a cloak of invisibility around our table and left us to pile plates on-top of each other. The process was not explained for the buffet and when we asked for drinks meus it took a while to come back for our order. When we sat down the hostess took our room numbers but seemingly did nothing with them as we had to wait 15 mins at the end of the meal to sign for our food. Not a great experience

First impressions are important in this industry, and the approach to this hotel certainly re-inforces its 5 star rating. Such a shame then, that as soon as our party stepped through the doors, things took an impressive nosedive towards mediocrity. Welcome to recpetion, not. The staff here must be working terribly long shifts as none of them seemed to have the energy to lift their heads when speaking. Perhaps we were meant to be impressed by their ability to try checking us in, whilst also sorting room cards for aircrew, advising abrubtly other guest they couldnt have a room and answering phones at the same time? Such impressive attention to detail resulted in one of our party having someone elses room put on their payment card. In reference to payment, our party had rooms booked by the company. Oddly the hotel didnt have that on record despite having held the rooms booked by them and being shown proof of this. This did not get resolved by them, despite it being an (admitted) error on the hotels part, nor was any apology recieved for this. Resturant 6senses was just an extension of the same. Barring the lovely lady who found us a table (in a half empty resturant should have picked up that clue right there), we were left unattended. No drinks orders taken or menus appeared;we decided to opt to go to the buffet so we could at least get fed. Once one of our party managed to finally flag a waiter down and order drinks, tardy was there arrival. Settling the bill was an interesting enndeavour too, 15mins after asking for it (for the second time), we opted to try and attract there attention another way, by leaving making as much noise as possible as we did. Odly at this point did they decided they should do the bills, so our party was left standing around waiting yet again while they 'printed' these..to an Ipad. Its beautiful looking building let down by worse service than ive had in most 3 star properties. Plus points Bar staff where great, polite and friendly and service was efficent. Rooms where nice enough. Would I stay here again? No. Pointless having such a beautiful building if getting anything basic done within it, is an uphill battle.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here, lovely hotel, obviously aimed at affluent travellers and business clients. We arrived and had an issue with our booking which was to be billed to our company. The reception staff were rude, dismissive and unwilling to try and help solve the problem with a call back to the UK to resolve. A colleague had to make the calls and, guess what, it turned out to be the hotel that caused the issue! Now to the restaurant, we were welcomed by a lovely person who showed us to our seats, but then we were ignored, no drinks order and no offer of guidance for the buffet. We were left to our own devices to figure out the array of food, we asked for Naan bread and were told “you have to order that” but not a waiter in sight willing to help. Our plates weren’t cleared and we ended up stacking desert plates on our main plates - hardly a 5 star experience! When it came to the bill, we asked for it (twice) and waited 10 to 15 minutes, nothing, despite several waiters gathered around the tills chatting. We decided to see if getting up and leaving would spring them into action and it certainly did! We were chased and told we need to sign, we explained we’d been waiting for a long while, to be told “it takes a long time to print the bills”. We were then presented with an iPad to sign - go figure …!? The Bar staff were lovely though, couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive, at least one bonus to remember for our last night in India! Check out was another terrible experience, a concierge desk where the receptionist never once looked up, asked us if everything was OK and couldn’t care less when we asked why we were settling our own food bills when they were supposed to be billed to the company as per the confirmation. This hotel presents itself as a luxurious venue with 5-star service but the staff seem to be under the impression that they don’t have to make any effort. Avoid this place at all costs (unless you like staff who look down their nose at you and treat you like a freeloader)..!

Hotel is Clean Neat and the standard is maintain everytime on my visit. DM swapnil Concierge personal Pargat singh and the entire staff are very hospitable ,vigilant attentive towards guest needs , Planning to bring my wife & Kid to experience the stay on my next trip, All the best to staff for being a strong piller for building up and living up to the hight standard and expectations. Excellent location right next to Mumbai Airport T2. Parth at Front Desk was very helpful in receiving a parcel on my behalf and keep it exactly the way I desired. In room dining and housekeeping good. However much remains to be desired. Over staffed in the Lobby. Breakfast spread was largely repetitive and not commensurate with the 5* category hotel. Scope to improve.
