To say we had a horrible experience would be an understatement! Maybe telling you that we have complimentary night stay available at the St. Regis mumbai and none of us wish to go back is the brief review of this property. For the detailed review, absolutely everything that could go wrong, did This staycation was a Rakhi gift to us 5 sisters from my brother who lives in Australia. Also an occasion to celebrate a bachelorette since we couldn’t be travelling elsewhere We arrived at the St. Regis property and before our bags are taken off the car the guard asks us if we have any sheesha or speakers in the car, we confirm that we have a small portable speaker only, however we’re happy to discuss with the front desk on the discretion to use the same without disturbing people. However, we were insisted to remove the speaker there itself and had to explain the staff that it wasn’t possible for us to open our bags on in the middle of nowhere. We head towards the reception where we were made to wait for 20 mins, which we understand owing to all of mumbai fleecing towards staycation When we finally got to the counter here are the mishaps that happened - the wiped off my brothers credit card details and took my card details - only for blocking the amount - so room charge + incidentals - The front desk manager however wanted to charge us for 3 rooms instead of 2 - because we had simply enquired about the room charges - We requested for the anti allergic medicine and they swore it would be with us in the room in the next 30 mins (which didn’t happen for over 7hours) - They refused to let us even carry our speaker to the room. In spite of us confirming to not use it - but I wasn’t about to leave an expensive speaker at the security desk. When we finally reached our room over excited but starving, here’s what happened- we had a reservation at one of the restaurants at phoenix mall itself, and we’re waiting for our bags to arrive from the security desk They sent all our bags, but 1, the one with the speaker - though we had agreed to handover the speaker to the bell boy who drops the luggage to the room This bag arrives 2 hours later - yes 120 minutes and 7 phone calls later - only for the bell boy standing on my head and insisting I hand over the speaker while I was on my way to my lunch and refused to even share a token/ tag to confirm that he had taken the speaker. We just gave the speaker and decided to deal with the matter after our lunch. We headed for lunch and were back in about another 2 hours , before we left, we had called the room service a few times requesting for the bathrobes for all of us, which took about a little over 2 hours to reach our room. Thereafter, we requested for a set of tall glasses, as 1 room had tall glasses and the other didn’t. To which the hotel pushed back saying we’d be charged ₹200 just for the tall glasses to be sent to the room. Then comes a bottle opener after another 2 hours (by which we were just about to leave for dinner, yes, when the actual nightmare began!) In our package we had dinner buffet included, I must say it didn’t look like a 5 star hotel’s Dinner buffet, it was more like a “langar” offered at temples. We were guided to their ball room for our dinner, where the entrance almost looked like backstage, dark, shady and secluded. There were about 10 odd round tables kept their for the sake of it. The food was absolutely stale and made all of us feel sick in our stomachs. To elaborate on the food quality, just so that no other guest ends up wasting their money and appetite over this horrible food just in the name of a five-star meal - the hummus tasted like curd, there was something called butter-chicken pulao. Yes, you read that correct, it was stale rice mixed with left over butter chicken which now made it look as good as the risotto, thanks to the texture of the rice. However, the chaat counter was quite good, let’s not take away that credit. But not sure how many of us would walk into a St. Regis for chaat :) When we brought this to their notice, they moved us to another buffet restaurant “seven kitchens” which happens to be the restaurant where their buffet would be served until last month. Which disappointing beyond our imagination. We requested for some aerated beverages and after waiting for 20-30mins, all we got was flat pepsi. Mind you, this was after almost the entire staff knowing about the previous mishap and they were trying to make up for it apparently. The sushi tasted awful and the last nerve was when we saw hair on dim sums, it was the nail on the coffin.

We purchased a romantic getaway package.....where we were promised a special private candlelight dinner...I thought it would be perfect on the occassion of my husband's b'day. Once it unfoled, I realized that there was nothing private about it. Not only that, there was no decoration at all. No candlelights. In fact, the staff could care less as to what we had purchased. It was clear that one department - the sales team was saying and promising something that the F&B staff either had no clue about or could not care less even if they did know !!! I also purchased a 'celebration package' which means that I get lights, balloons and 1/2 kg cake. To my surprize , I was told that they are making this complimentary. But then they cut corners in such a cheesy manner. The 1/2 kg cake became a matchbox shaped cake that my husband did not even feel like cutting because it did not look like a cake !!! Guess this sums up why my review is titled 'misrepresented'. Of course, If you did not purchase anything special then you would likely enjoy your stay as your expectations will naturally be much less.

Exceptional service - especially Tejas (from Butler team) was extremely cordial and proactive any offering help. Our package included dinner and breakfast buffet - and both meals were excellent, especially breakfast had a really large spread. Overall - location close to shopping place and Nehru Science center, top quality food and very good staff.

Travelled in October'21 for a 1 night stay, we were celebrating my wife's birthday. We had booked a high rise city facing room and were upgraded to a suite category room facing the race course on 31st floor. We were also given an early check in as per our request. The check in process was quick and smooth and Tejasvi at the check-in desk took good care of us ensuring that the process is smooth and quick. The room itself was beautiful facing the sea and the Maha Laxmi racecourse. Jonathan ensured that we were provided with a complimentary cake for my wife's bday along with a small teddy and a cake for my 3 year old daughter. We had taken a staycation package which included dinner and breakfast at the Seven Kitchen and complimentary cocktail hour at their new restaurant - Sette Mara. Our experience at Sette Mara was nice, the restaurant is nicely done and siddhi took good care of us and our daughter and ensure that she had a god time. The inclusive Cocktail menu was basic. For Dinner, Seven Kitchens offered a wide variety, instead of buffet, they had live counters, we enjoyed the north Indian cuisine and sushi. Breakfast spread was also great and everything was tasty! Overall we had a wonderful stay and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Would definitely like to visit again!

Worst hotel worst management ..cleanness and look wise very nice..but comes to management and food worst here …i stayed here for 7 days and my stay was horrible…food cost also not affordable ..avoid this hotel have a great options near by with half the cost of this hotel
