Hats off to all of the staff at the St. Regis Mumbai. At check-in I was presented the option of a paid upgrade to one of their furnished corporate apartments. For approximately 12,000 rupees a night it was a bargain! We got a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment with nice large living room and kitchen but most importantly with the legendary Butler service. Also included in the upgrade price was breakfast either at Seven Kitchens or in our room, high tea with tea and snacks, and cocktail hour with cocktails and appetizers.

Hats off as well to Akansha Mattoo and the rest of the Butler staff who made sure that all of our stay was curated to the utmost level. I have forgotten names of most of the staff who took care of us but I believe it was Pratik the Chef de Partie took care of us both at cocktail hours upstairs and the next morning at Seven Kitchens.

The location is great for shopping as it is located at the Palladium and High Street Phoenix malls but is a little bit of a drive from both the touristy stuff in South Bombay and the airport. I, however, prefer this location in Lower Parel as it is easily accessible to the hip restaurant and bar scene in both Lower Parel and the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) areas.

If you're looking for world class service, a relaxing experience, and an adventure gastronomique head to the St. Regis Mumbai. You won't be disappointed.

Very Courteous Staff, Comfortable rooms, Smooth Check-in & Check-out, Delicious Food at Seven Kitchens lavish buffet, Spa was so relaxing though the swimming pool is small. Location adjacent to the Phoenix Mall is so convenient.

Special mention of the housekeeping person Anoop Kumar who made our honeymoon trip special by beautifully decorating the room. Splendid job !!

A big shout out to St Regis Mumbai and Caesar Araujo for the high service levels, agility and presence of mind, and complete customer centric support sown during my recent stay at the St Regis in Parel Mumbai.

I mistakenly picked up someone else's bag in the plane in my hurry to reach my destination quickly. When i opened my bag in the hotel room and realised that it was not mine, Caesar swung into action. Not only did he quickly deploy the hotel network at the airport to locate my bag and replace with the lost bag before morning, but also provided me with a pyjama kit and offered express laundry service to get the clothes i was wearing laundered overnight. And then followed up the next morning even though his shift was over, to ensure i had got all i needs and was all set. Meanwhile i have still not heard from the airline company with whom i placed a service request in parallel.

Totally blown away by this level of high quality and courteous service, and presence of mind in the face of an unexpected situation. May St Regis continue to grow and prosper, with the dedication and professionalism exhibited by their staff like Caesar.

We spent 9 nights in rooms 2104 and 2108. I am writing this review from the hotel room itself as we pack for our return journey home.

This hotel, perfect location, very nice, shiny and glitzy ambience but look beyond that for hospitality and you see the shortcomings in the staff!

Our shortcomings began from the very moment we checked in, they had not booked our rooms as per our requirements. They promised to look into this, alI I got is an apology email with no corrective action.

I would say only 20-30% of the staff would be able and committed to attend to or resolve guest related issues and problems, the rest are only meagre smiley lip service with no real substance.

It's sad that I couldn't give this hotel a better review because I experienced multiple failures in service, the simplest one being requesting for a bottle of sparkling water at breakfast. Although chargeable most staff don't bring it for you, they probably don't even know where to get it from!

New year's Eve we booked for 'by the Mekong' a group of 9, and the initial coordination was very poor, we had to wait from 7-8.30 to be given entry bands. We knew that the program starts at 9 but we could not enjoy any other location prior to this in a relaxed manner because we were uncertain about this entry passes situation.. The instructions at booking was given as 7pm collect your bands even though we are hotel residents, we were compelled to go and collect bands from entrance porch and there we were delayed by 1.5 hours! This time we could have used better.

Anyway Mumbai has many good hotels, now that I know what to expect at St. Regis, my next stays at this property will be very short just as good as the time required to finish my shopping at the palladium mall. For everything else, there are many other better hotels.

J.W. Marriott needs to clean their act up at this property!

I had booked the "international" 5 star for my quarantine upon returning from Spain. Little did I know that I was in for a rude shock from this world renown hotel!
We checked in on the 27th of December for a period of 7 nights. Upon entering the room, we thought to ourselves that it was fantastic. To our disbelief, the excitement ended in 2 minutes. The hotel room was dirty and it seemed as though it had been unused for a significantly long period of time. When we called the reception they told us that they would send someone took take a look, but for 30 minutes no one called or came up. It was after I got furious and demanded that I wanted to speak to the GM that they sent someone from housekeeping to check the room. The lady told us that the room we were in was not even sellable and she didn't know why we were given that room. After that the team offered to change our room and showed us 3 different rooms all of which had dirty cutlery, rusted kettles and dilapidated fittings. After consistently arguing with the team and asking them to allow me to speak with the GM or a higher authority they sent someone from the services team who profusely apologised, got a room absolutely deep cleaned (though didn't bother cleaning the AC vent - of which I have attached a photo). This just shows the level of preparedness that this international property has for its quarantine facility. Both of us have dust allergies and I even got a mild asthma attack the next day due to the dirt and dust in the room.
While the service from then on was great, unfortunately the first day had already set the tone for our stay.

We strongly recommend avoiding this hotel for quarantine as the allocated rooms are dilapidated and unused for the longest time.

The only plus here is the size of the room and the politeness of the staff.

Thoroughly disappointing!!

Dear Mr. Daulat, Warm greetings from The St. Regis Mumbai! Thank you for sharing your feedback on Trip Advisor pertaining to the multiple challenges you encountered during your recent stay with us. It is extremely disheartening that we left you with an impression like that. Concerns highlighted by you are certainly basics and not acceptable at a St. Regis. Allow me to assure you that these comments have been taken very seriously and necessary corrective measures have been put in place. This is not how we operate Mr. Daulat and I am truly sorry about the compromised experience. While we calibrate our processes and ensure our team is trained on such critical touch points, it is my earnest request to give us another opportunity to serve you and welcome you and your family back to The St. Regis, Mumbai! Once again, thank you very much indeed for your feedback as this is essential to us as we strive to maintain the high standards of service expected by our guests. Quick review.
Stayed here for a night. Worst customer service ever experienced. Also, please don't be fooled by the 'Butler service'. It's regular housekeeping, just highly inefficient.

1. No one to help you with your luggage (unlike other 5 star Indian hotels). I requested for someone to carry my luggage and it reached 45 minutes later.
2. Room was booked for two but it was setup (towels and toiletries) for one. Took another hour to get that in shape.
3. Requested for turn down before leaving for dinner and came back to the same state with another set of apologies from the manager.
4. The iphone dock wasn't working and they took more time tp fix it.
5. Requested for turn down before leaving for breakfast- came back after an hour with housekeeping just starting to work. Waited on the side chair for another hour till they finished.
5. No hair dryer/straightener points in the room. Dryer is fixed to a point in front of a hand sized mirror.

The only highlight was the breakfast. Exemplary spread. Recommend the hotel only for food.

I was quarantined in the hotel for 8 days after coming back from Abu Dhabi & the staff made me feel at home. They were very understanding & helpful especially during this pandemic.
A big thank you to Chef Shardul and his in room dining team Ms.Farah & Mr.Dhananjay to cater my smallest requests and make me happy.
Mr Rendell at the concierge was also very courteous and the front desk team.
I would strongly recommend this hotel especially for quarantine as it is very clean and precautions are taken from time to time.

As i have stayed in this hotel before and i was happy so thought of staying again.. This time it was not that impressive as last time. This time paid nearly 40% more than last time - approx $ 254.00 per night. Grand deluxe rooms which are seaview is nothing different from deluxe beside the view. So don't think of paying more if you are not serious about the view. As deluxe were sold out so had to go for grand deluxe.
The best thing about this hotel is the location and the breakfast. Their breakfast spread is very good and worth taking room with breakfast and their spread changes every day so if you are long stay then also you will not be bored with the food.
Our housekeeping guy and room service guys were very helpful. We were assign butler whom we never seen or heard after check in.
I just feel the hotel is overpriced where else we pay nearly 30-40% cheaper in other cities of india for same standard hotel and rooms are also a bit smaller compare to other same standard hotels.
Over all is good luxury hotel in mumbai.

From the minute you walk into the hotel, you feel like you are in a different place. The first thing I noticed is that the hotel is very secure and conveniently located near a luxury shopping mall.

There is a lot of detail that went into the decor of the hotel. It’s extremely nice and really portrays a luxurious aura. The lobby where you check in is very spacious and they have a nice bar area where you can hold meetings, patiently wait for people or do some work.

My room was really nice and windows were very big. My favourite part was how the bathroom was laid out and the comfort of the bath tub.

Breakfast was something I really looked forward to. Everyone was willing to help and there are a number of options. The fruit selection is good, they had a sushi station, salad bar, grill and Indian foods. I also tried the rooftop bar to have some drinks and light snacks with a friend. The view was really nice and had a very chilled out atmosphere.

The gym was far from a fitness room and more like a proper gym. I had a variety of equipment and weights to use so I was extremely happy. The gym is open 24 hrs also.

The butler service is something that is worth using. Makes everything a lot easier and more convenient.

The only downside is that the hotel is pretty big so just make sure you remember your way around but if you get lost, someone will be there to help. I definitely do plan on staying there again the next time I am back in Mumbai.

Two of the selling points of this hotel are that there is a nice mall right next-door to the hotel, so you simply walk a few steps to get to the mall, and the hotel has a night club on the 38th floor! The security x-ray machines at the entrance, the constant interruptions by hotel staff are minor disruptions understanding that this hotel has your comfort and security top of mind. The enormous breakfast buffet spread has to be seen to be believed. The hotel cab (which is a Toyota) from the airport to the hotel will run you about $50, but an Uber car for the same journey costs between $6-8. If you want to stand out more, the hotel offers transport in a luxury car from the airport for about $75, as long as you realize that it’s about 10 times more expensive than an Uber black / premium car. Great hotel that would cost much more if located in Europe or the US. If you want to, you would never need to venture out into Mumbai. Everything you need is in the hotel or in the mall next door.
