I booked this hotel because of the location. The location was so good that most of the tourist spots are near and also the best place for shopping. I saw the photos on the website and was a bit disappointed as they are smaller than in the photos. But the check-in was easy and felt a bit safe in this hotel even though the looks of the hotel doesn't seem to be. The Receptionist Zunaid was really courteous and gave me a lot of suggestions for me as I am new here. Also made sure that I am safe. As a solo traveler, I felt this way.

It's not even proper to call it a hotel. It's a single floor thingy on the 5th floor. The lift on the ground will take you to the 5th floor entrance of this establishment. Rooms are tiny and dont come here with a hope of luxury or comfort. But you get AC and joined bathroom. And ofcourse a bed to rest.
Best part about this place is its location. If you want to see the Gateway of India and Colaba neighbour then it's perfect location. Just 3-4 mins of walk to the Gateway. Colaba has so much to offer. So much depth of options for food and casual stroll. Lovely location.

Perfectly located at a walking distance from Gateway of India. Rooms are clean. Staff is very much cooperative and helpful. Mr Samson is personally taking care of all guests and doing his best to fulfill the requirements of guests.

The apathetic manager of this dump tries to bluff his way around the numerous problems that the tiny rooms have, including electronic entry cards that don't work, tepid shower water temperatures, air conditioners that drip water on the floor and Wifi that doesn't work at all. He exploits a crew of teen-aged male students, none of whom are properly trained, to clean the rooms and perform other maintenance tasks. It's easy to find better hotels than this one in that price range.

So let’s start with the positives....., excellent location in terms of local attractions although the area is rather salubrious. The staff are anxious to please, the manager pleasant enough. We had booked two rooms, one for my partner and myself, a second room for our friend. I had planned to describe room number two as similar a prison cell, but prison cells have windows! The fridge in room number two was filthy. A cacophony of noise mainly from the staff continued through the night. There was no hot water in room number one. Suffice to say we beat a hasty retreat the next morning. For those who plan a trip to this establishment , do not use their airport transfer as it is double what the local taxis charge.

Had a feeling of real home& while staying for a couple of days,I noticed that I had reached the perfect place of stay & my search for a hotel at Colaba ends here.The ambience is perfect, aesthetically appealing,well maintained clean rooms,spotless linens etc; with some rooms having a glimpse of Hotel Taj & some having a glimpse of the sea.
Last but not the least,the services being offered by Mr.Samson/Manager is commendable in each & every aspect.He always ensured that the stay was comfortable & is always in the forefront to assist with a pleasant smiling face, which only prompted me to continue my stay there itself for several days.
In a nutshell ,it can be told that, coupled with the tiresome efforts of Mr.Samson/Manager,in one way Colaba Suites is undoubtedly a " Real Home Away from Home ".

Very unassuming place from outside with a lift that opens both sides. A small but comfortable room for three of us with three separate beds.But be warned about mosquitos.
The place is centrally located with walkable distance from Gateway of India, Taj hotel, jehangir art gallery, Leopold cafe, Colab Causeway,and many places.

This is a budget friendly hotel, located just 5 minutes walk from the Hotel Taj and Gateway of India. Friendly staff ready to help with any questions. Rooms are clean and fair enough for the price you pay. Breakfast was okay. A good place for budget travellers.
