Located next door to a famous Leopold cafe. As the hotel is situated on the 3rd floor, there is an elevator and a special boy who accompanies you up and down. Good clean room, hot water, no noise heard. I'd stay here again!
The rooms are a bit small and the ceiling in the bathroom is frosted ceiling panels which doesn't feel very private. The price is great for the location, very close to the gateway to india and all the action. The market is just outside the hotel. We did leave some food open in one of our rooms and when we returned there were some small bugs by the food. I enjoyed that they keep hotel registry hand written. We were surprised when we checked out that they do not accept cards but an ATM was close by.
Very good location minutes from Gateway of India. In the middle of Colaba restaurants and bars and next to Leopold Cafe. Room was ok but no view from the window. Shower had no tray therefore water went everywhere in the bathroom. Lights slightly on the bright side and shortage of power points. However was fine for a few nights and all the staff very friendly and helpful
Please remember, if you book this place expect nothing out of the ordinary. The rooms are clean but tiny and beds ok (not rock hard as you can encounter in many hotels in India). Breakfast not included in price. However, staff does not understand English very well and if you have any requests that is not in the usual category (like booking taxi etc) expect nothing cause they simply don't understand you. Elevator guys very friendly, manager needs to learn how to smile. You can order tea etc up to your room, bu you have however nowhere to sit and eat, so it's either on the floor or on your bed. The hotel is located in a very good place with everything you need within your reach. One extra point for that, otherwise I'd rate it 2/5. Ask for a room with window, the hotel has a few without them. Rooms in 3rd floor can be noisy if located near stairs/elevator.…
Spend two nights in the hotel. The rooms including the cleanliness are good. There is a lot of staff (maybe too much for the narrow corridors of this place) who is friendly and helpful. You clearly pay for the location and not for what you get in the end but that's Mumbai I guess. It is not possible to pay with credit card what they only told me when I wanted to check out so I had to go to the ATM which I could have done during the day if they had only told me earlier. Anyway I find it unacceptable for a place as expensive to take only cash...
Arrived with no booking and got a room after running away from a more expensive but worse hotel in the same area. I was extremely ill. The staff looked after me, room service was on point and they went to buy outside what wasn’t on the menu but that I request because of my poor health. They treated me like a brother. I fainted, they put me to bed, checked on me regularly and made me feel good. Only because of the amazing staff I have been able to recover and continue my trip. Standards are great for the price paid, Hotel is central and well connected. Top experience
This is a basic guest house, but in a great location and reasonably priced for what its and where it is. Its reception is on the 3rd floor; the hotel's entrance from the street is a narrow hallway flanked by a sandal vendor. The rooms are clean and the hotel provides a food service to the rooms since there are no dinning area, it also provides a good laundry and ironing service. All the staff were helpful, charming and attentive and they went the extra mile to help us. It would of been useful to have a kettle and cups for the odd tea/coffee, shelves to put toiletries and small personal belongings on; otherwise we kept our stuff in our suitcases. This is basic accomodation, no frills attached, its located in the heart of Colaba. The hotel is kept safe both day and night as there are at least a member of staff on each floor to attend to its guests and keep it safe. This is a safe area anyway, the Police Station is right across the road. At time of review, booking a taxi from the hotel to Mumbai airport through the hotel cost us 600 INR. The hotel does not take credit.debit cards for payment only cash!…
Nice place in Colaba, Room are clean, and well equiped near all the interesting places and easy to find. Just a sleeping place for me for a long day of walking and visit in Bombay Nices restaurants all around
Very close to many of South Mumbai's sights, around the hotel a lot of nice places with food. The room is not too cheap but in Mumbai it is more expensive than in other parts of India. The bed was comfortable and everything worked without problems We spent two nights there and it was a good choice :)
On floors 2&3 of building very close to the Gateway of India. Superb position for exploring Mumbai and it's restaurants and bars. Rooms are small but comfortable and despite its position offers a peaceful and quiet stay. A little expensive for what it is but where it is makes it good value.
