Visited Soul Restaurant which is located in The Oriental residency. Good Ambience with delicious food. This restaurant is offering multi cuisines and I also tried some of the best dishes here ❤️ Freshly served on time. Best to try in this season is Mango milkshake 🥭😍. Sea food at this place is also amazing. Loved their Hospitality and delicious food. I had a pleasant experience at the Oriental Residency. First impressions ,the staff at the front desk were very welcoming . The rooms have aircon,flat screen TV and wifi. The house keeping staff are hard working and very helpful. Breakfast was great, Mr Arun and staff were always cheerful and meals were delicious. Room service is prompt and the meals from the restaurant were awesome! There is a variety of meals on the menu which the Chef had no problem adjusting to my preference and at very reasonable prices . A great place to consider if your coming to Mumbai.

Stayed here for a few nights with parents and a sibling. Rooms are too small and as for the bathrooms they are incredibly tiny. The WC are located in such an awkward position. Too close to the door. The shower leaks outside water when showering. The decor is outdated. Cleanliness is not a priority both in the rooms and in the corridors and staircases. Black dust on the bannisters. The reception area and the outside entrance area are nice, clean and deceiving but once you go to the rooms it is a completely different story. Breakfast was ok. Different types of eggs, Masala Dosa’s and Uttapams were available. Close to local shopping areas. Not sure that I would stay here again given how much they charged me for 2-3 nights stay. I’m sure that there will be better options to stay at.

Rooms are a little dated but pretty good. Room information is not correct. We chose a premier King room as the description stated all 24 premier King rooms have a private balcony. We didn't have a balcony. I asked at reception and was told premier King rooms don't have a balcony, but I showed them the description which said premier King rooms have a balcony, they said the description is wrong, so I queried and said they should update room description to stop saying premier King rooms gave balconies if they don't have balconies.

I'm a well experienced global traveler for both business and leisure purposes. This was my second stay at The Oriental Residency. I spent 2 weeks there in May 2023 and 3 weeks in September 2023. It's a pleasant place to stay. The rooms are clean, room service is prompt and efficient, tv reception is good, a/c is efficient . The bathroom/toilet is a bit cramped. Complementary breakfast is a wide ranging buffet with special orders available. Accolades must go to Mr Arun for his attention to detail and his personal friendly service. The Soul Restaurant creates a wide variety of multi cuisines at reasonable prices. As with all hotels worldwide it's the staff that make one of the most important aspects of your stay. In the 4 months between my 2 stays at The Oriental Residency there had been a few staff changes. Most notable is the new Front Desk Manager Ms Zinia Fernandes. She is a breath of fresh air, diligent in her duties, responsive to every request, very attentive to new , inexperienced employees. She is a beautiful woman with a delightful personality. Congratulations to the Board of Directors for placing Ms Zinia Fernandes in such a prominent role. She would be well placed in any International Hotel.

The breakfasts are among the best I have had anywhere in Bombay and the restaurant is managed by a smart and highly professional team under Arun S. I am partial to their chocolate dosas (!!) but for traditionalists a whole variety of classic breakfast items are available. Beyond the restaurant the hotel has an a accommodating staff: the rooms could use an update and are a bit on the threadbare side but because of the brilliant breakfasts the hotel easily merits 5/5 and I will stay here again.

The best value for the money. I stayed with my 91 year old father for a week. Location is close to Khar station and Linking Road shopping. The staff is very courteous. Morning breakfast is amazing. Includes Fruit Juices, Uttappam (custom made as you prefer), Dosai, Idli, Sambar, Paratha, Toast, etc. Arun Shetty (Breakfast staff) was amazing. Capuccino was great. After the first day, we didn't have to tell him if we take sugar in our coffee or not! Meat a couple from Chicago at breakfast - they visit Mumbai every year and stay at this hotel for full month! Our family will definitely stay at this hotel when we visit Mumbai.

This hotel being a 3 star impressed me with the location, rooms and service. I booked the hotel very last minute on phone with Vrushbh. He assured me to just reach the hotel and everything will be taken care of. Due to last minute booking, i was given a room in the smoking floor but my room did not smell of smoke at all. Breakfast at the 1st floor was excellent too with a gkod mix of indian and continental cuisine. Service overall in the hotel was excellent Especially Vrushbh was very kind and professional. I felt very comfortable and safe in the hotel.

My first impression was very poor. I arrived at 10.30 pm exhausted only to be told I was not booked in until the next day. My mistake but what occurred next blew me away. I was given no assistance to locate somewhere to stay that night even though I asked for some. I was told to walk out the gate, turn right and walk down the road and there was another hotel further down the road. By now this was 11pm so here I am walking down a dark street alone wheeling a suitcase on an uneven road, never having been to India before, not the best welcome. I returned the next day and I must say it did improve. The staff in the Soul Restaurant were fantastic. The chefs would come out to talk and make sure everything was good. The wait staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The other staff I met at the reception desk were lovely. It was just the young lady from my first experience and that didn’t improve. She certainly needs more training in customer service. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff that looked after them were friendly and helpful. The gentlemen on the front gate were so friendly always greeting you with a smile and a friendly hello making you feel so welcome. On the whole I enjoyed my stay and I will return
