Somehow not satisfied this time. average service and just ok food quality. I have been visiting and staying in this place since 12 years but this time going back with a bit of disappointment. May be bcos of covid issue this has happenned
The place is centrally located. Room service is prompt. Hotel staffs are courteous. Live music is an additional bonus while having food. Bathrooms though need an uplift. Main attractions are nearby which is good.
Very bad experience from restaurant food quality is very bad staff also giving 1st priority to foreigners we order boneless chicken but they served Chicken with bone v nervous and cancelled but they are not even listen finally we paid amount.i recommend don't go with family specially child's all drunnkers VIP bewdas.feb 2020 visited we spend only 10mins in restro.
I had a really comfortable stay here. My room was spacious and clean .. the bathroom is in need of updating - but nice hot water which is the main thing. Fantastic location for exploring Mysore and surrounding area .. only a few mins walk from the gorgeous palace, and also near the main bus stand, making it easy to get to local interesting spots. The restaurant is atmospheric and relaxed. The Indian food is much better than the ‘international’ menu, which probably explains why so many locals come and eat there. Really delicious biryanis and nice cold beers! There are much cheaper places I’m sure, but the coziness and location made it a great place to stay.
The best Dal makhani .....ordered far too much food for two but every mouthful was a joy. The staff were delightful and amazed at how much we actually managed to eat. Enjoyed it so much we went back on our last night for a farewell beer...remember to buy the beer by bottles or might get a huge pitcher....😃😃
We are so grateful for all of the advanced communication with the hotel staff to help our arrival process with our group of 20 travelers. We felt warmly welcomed and very well taken care of. We wish to express extra gratitude to Mr Manjunatha for all of his care for our concerns and his re-assurances were all followed through on. We also appreciate the restaurant staff helping us to have breakfast for our group of 20 people who had to be on a bus by 730 am! Your willingness to work with us to meet our needs was definitely noticed and very appreciated. Thank you! Sarahjoy
Fantastic location. The deluxe room we booked was disappointing, no view. The staff were helpful cheerful and efficient. They upgraded our room no problem. The room and bedding were clean. The hotel needs updating. Especially the bathrooms. Water was hot. Toiletries are provided. Tuk tuk were available outside the hotel, reasonably cheap, not too much hassle! They were friendly the roads are busy. The palace was within walking distance.
Really enjoyed 2 nights at this one-off place! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location couldn't be more central and the attention to detail in the rooms (even down to little labels on every light switch) is so thoughtful. The building itself - and relaxing 1st floor restaurant - is some mad-but-enjoyable grotto of embellishments that has tons of character. Staying here is a nice additional attraction to Mysore.
Stayed here for a night in December 2019. I have a neutral view about their restaurant and room ambience and comfort. Reason for single star is because of the unfriendly behaviour of the reception staff. My Check out time was 12 noon. The reception guy called me at 11:30 and asked me by when i will check out. I told i will do it between 12- 12:15. He immediately mentioned that the check out time is 12 and it cannot be extended. He gave an excuse that a guest is waiting for check in. When i mentioned that why he is ready to let a customer check in early by 2 hours (standard check in is at 2 noon) but not give me an additional time of 15 minutes. While i was raising this question he didn't listen to me but kept speaking to other guests in person. Such a rude behaviour. While he did mention sorry during checkout, he did not answer to the above questions which i raised again. There were multiple negatives which were compensated by equal number of positives and hence didn't get into them separately. But the behaviour of reception staff was really shocking and makes me feel that i should never visit this place again. …
We had a fantastic stay and it was a great base for exploring Mysore. Our room had a balcony with good views. WiFi was very good and there were plenty of sockets for chargers etc. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large with plenty of hot water. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The restaurant on the first floor was very good with Kingfisher very available both drought and bottled, except for the weekend of the Ayodha decision, when the national government forbade the sale of alcohol. We made use of the swimming pool a few times on the top floor. This was invigorating and bracing rather than warm, but after a hot day, just what was needed. Overall excellent value.
