The hotel is amazing and the location is very good , very close to the city center and all the tourist places. You can feel the amazing views from hotel . Rooms are very clean and well maintained . The staffs are very friendly and helpful
Great deals and services from great people. It's light on the pocket, very neat and clean, secure, and in the middle of the city near the fabulous, huge St. Philomena's Church. The staff is responsive, polite and energetic. Parking space is a little small, and the entry road is narrow; but except these a great, the best place to stay in Mysuru!
As we checked into the hotel, the first thing that caught the attention was its location. Right opposite St. Philomena's Church, it is 5 minutes away from Mysore Palace and Jaganmohan Palace. At such a location, a room at 730 per night was a steal and we happily stole it. The hotel had nice room, although a bigger room would have been better but for that price it was perfect. Water was provided and for more water you could use the first floor aquaguard. It has an elevator, an open terrace, sort of all you can ask. Clean combined toilet and bathroom was properly functioning as well. We requested for a bike rental and got one for 450. That was the first problem, over the phone the price agreed upon was 400 per day. Anyway, the bike was a bit problematic so it got changed next day with some money adjusted for the remaining petrol. Happy happy. Things sort of took a turn for the worse in the last two days. We rented a car to go to Halebeedu, Bellur and Shravanbelagola. Priced agreed upon was 3200 and the hotel did not mention that more money would be needed for parking, toll etc. Also driver concocted some story and took more money for himself as well. Hotel did not help us at all. We ended up paying 3800 in total, 600 extra!! We had told to change the towels and when came back later that day, towels were not changed and room not cleaned. Next day we asked for wake up call at 5:30 AM. No wake up call as we woke up at 8:30. Upon asking, the answer was the person in charge for the night did not want to "disturb" us. The hotel offers in room dining but they get the food from other restaurants and you have to pay on the spot. On an afternoon, we ordered 2 plates of finger chips, after an eternity, one plate arrived. Reason given was the restaurant they usually order from was closed. The other restaurant charges double so we paid same amount of money for only one plate of finger chips. No qualms against the hotel owners Mr. Ahmed and his brother, they were very amicable, and in most cases money matters were handled with lots of prudence. More than happy with the hotel but service can be much better as such lapses can screw up with your plannings. Also if you plan to take a car, make sure you complete all discussions before boarding the car.…
The staff were very helpful and polite . We stayed in a simple, budget room. The hotel maintains a good standard of cleanliness. It is located just off a main road, and is generally quiet -but being close to the mosque you will hear the call to prayer at about 5.45am. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again
While booking online shows decent photo. Place is highly inconvenient for any Sedan car, it can hardly enter the lane and very difficult to go up the hotel ramp to park in just 2 cars parking space, mostly to find already occupied....they can openly ask you park on the narrow road itself. The bed-sheet was dirty - having stains. On asking the attendant, he denies that it is dirty and gives all the reasons why it is looking dirty and it is normal for it to be so much dirty!!! Finally, on when you express your frustration on these issues, they can ask you to go find another hotel....!!!! Which I did happily.....
On arrival in Mysore me and my boyfriend viewed 4/5 different hotels. Blue Moon was the last and by far the best. The hotel is very clean and the owner is friendly and very helpful... Our double non ac room (the room was cold enough to barely have the fan on) had all the facilities needed. Overall a great stay for a budget hotel and very much recommended.
Nice budget hotel. We stayed in non-AC room in October and felt pretty comfortable. Clean bedsheet and bathroom, hot water available. Good location: we reached it by 15 min walk from a bus stand. Staff was very helpful. They even kept safely our luggage till evening after checking-out. This is a very good option for those who would like to stay in basic and clean room, saving extra money for shopping in Mysore.
I has good location... next philomena church... helpful staff... nice food .. and market near buy... no in house restaurant.... good for couples on budget. 5 mins drive from bus stand...will recommend everyone
Stayed three nights during Dasala festival. Excellent central location, staff were very friendly and helpful with good English. Good, affordable room service food. Felt very safe and looked after as a solo female traveller. Just make sure you pack the earplugs, though the level of noise could have been due to festival!
Room was a good size with a great AC unit. Great location and lots of good restaurants around. Only about 20 minutes walk to the palace or a cheap rickshaw ride. Owner was really flexible and we moved our booking around a few times. Would highly recommend staying here for a few nights on a budget!
