The property isn't well maintained. The lift wasnt working, it had apparently broken down a week ago and no one bothered fixing it. The AC was located far away from the bed so you have to kind of compromise on the cooling aspect. The staff were courteous and helpful. The restaurants in the building was closed. The bed linen wasnt clean and wasn't of good quality. All in all it wasn't worth the money we paid.
Being a new customer for hotel.Com, I have experienced a Pathetic service from the customer support and also from the hotel management. From the day we checked into the hotel there was no proper service, no hygiene maintained, No hot water, no toiletries like soap, towels etc., on the 2nd day no water for full night, no one at the front desk to attend our calls or concerns. Even after informing them about the No water in the night before we got into bed no resolution was done for water problem. I am really cursing myself for booking this hotel. I urge to people and customer not go with Hotels.com for any of your travel bookings and especially don’t choose to get into The Olive Star hotel for your stay. Thanks
All facilities available , ac,tv,geyser hot water. All tourist places also nearby. Mysore zoo mysore palace Mall of mysore forum mall all places nearby only. Easily accessble to banglore mysore highway. Famous khans biriyani and hanumanthu palao nearby
We stayed for 2 nights with our family staffs are very friendly and courteous rooms are neat and cleaned especially bathroom, and morning breakfast was awesome this hotel near to city centre. We rarely visit Mysore so I really appreciate the hotel for their management and The main awesome thing is The procession of Dussera will pass in front of the hotel it's a beautiful thing to see with family. The hotel had a special Pure Veg Restaurant called Kesari restaurant it's a crown for the hotel bcoz its taste.... .totally we enjoyed the stay...
The location of this Hotel is the main USP. It is located close to the tourist spots Mysore Palace, Jaganmohan Palace, City centre and the shopping streets. The nice and decent rooms are available at affordable price. The inhouse staff was helpful and also were courteous in their behaviour. The lackings are hot water takes some time to be available through the piping system. The lift needs some upgradation and also the breakfast timings should be more than 1 hour and the food being served should be hot till the end of breakfast timings.
I had booked "Hotel Olive star" for a period of 2 days i.e. 15-17 June, 2018. Good things about the hotel: * Really nice and decent rooms at an affordable price. * Extremely helpful staff who have helped me from luggage to tips about enjoying the local cuisine etc * Very close to tourist spots such as Mysuru Palace, Jaganmohan Palace and the infamous mysuru shopping streets. Bad things: * No hot water (we even complained about it twice) * Poorly maintained lift and stairways Over all rating: 3.5/5 Will I visit Mysuru again: YES Will I again stay at this hotel: Maybe
Location wise peaceful and not too far from heart of city. Rooms are huge but feels like local lodge. Most of the rooms have cockroaches (not lot). Ambiance is not good. Basic things are good. This is good for urgent stay and not suited for holiday stay.
