We returned to Anahata in November 2019, our second visit, the first being in March 2018. As other reviewers have said so well, a visit with Kiran is a beautiful and authentic Indian experience. The setting is idyllic beside the lake, and the village, though unaccustomed to tourists, is friendly and welcoming. We attended temple festivals, dined in local homes, and shopped in the market. Most moving of all is participating with the elderly and the handicapped children that Kiran has taken in. His project is humbling and inspiring. Truly, this is responsible tourism at its best.

It was a pleasure to stay at the Anahata Healing Arts Centre in Ravandur. Kiran welcomed us very warmly, and he and his staff were very considerate of our needs throughout our short stay. They truly went above and beyond. At Anahata, Kiran has created not only a peaceful place for guests to rest and rejuvenate, but also a beautiful and loving community space for individuals who would otherwise be quite isolated. Our time at Anahata was both restful and inspiring - I highly recommend it!

There are no expectations that can prepare you for the beauty that you will behold at Anahata. Not only is this a remarkable place to return to living alongside a natural, calm rhythm of nature, but the community that Kiran has built to change some of the injustices in his local community is one of a kind. We went with the intention of a detox, a short retreat from the hectic Indian cities. We were looking for simple, organic, Ayurveda-inspired diet, some gentle yoga, and peace and quiet for reflection and meditation. Without a doubt we received all of those, but the total surprise was meeting some of the most remarkable children who society has forgotten, but who Kiran has warmly welcomed to his centre. Kiran has managed to combine so many aspects of what he says he lives for - “to be a good man” - and provides love and community for many who have struggled to find it elsewhere. Being part of this during our stay opened our hearts and our minds, and is surely an experience we won’t forget.

When I used to read reviews from people saying that they want to come back again I was sceptical but here I am on my last day and already planning for my second visit. Kiran has built a wonderful and inspiring place for kids with special needs and for the community as well. The children get to learn and play in a spectacular place with breathtaking natural views. Some kids need special treatment like physiotherapy or a special massage and kiran is happy to provide all of that from his heart. My journey to India was specifically to visit Anahata healing centre and I have to say I am so thankful I did. Kiran put me on a detox programme and I particularly enjoyed the sunrise yoga and meditation sessions with Kiran. I even got to take some cooking lessons. All of these were provided in a homely and cozy place where you really leave all your materialistic and stressful life behind and get to experience the Authentic Indian Ashram life. What an inspiring person and such an amazing place.

I have just returned from the most amazing experience of my life. Everything about Anahata is very very special. The founder Kiran works tirelessly designing, building and evolving his incredible project, a beautiful oasis of natural peace in rural India, this project exists to offer local disadvantaged, disabled and mentally challenged people a chance to heal, a chance to live in perfect harmony with an organic vegetarian diet mainly sourced onsite. Some come on a daily basis, some stay onsite. Yoga is a big part of life here, whether like me a first time beginner to the most advanced, all set in the most amazing natural space, and hosted by the talented yoga master Kiran. I honestly believe this to be one of the most beautiful, magical and spiritual places on earth, all the people i met here at Anahata seem very happy, from the gardeners, builders, cook etc and all work together in pure harmony. there is no set timetable to adhere to, do what you like when you like, interaction with the children is wonderful and taught me so much. I do not have one bad or negative thing to say about Anahata or Kiran (inspirational), if you are fortunate to be able to visit you will be dumbfounded by its natural beauty, and by the life and love it exudes. I feel honoured and extremely privileged to have been able to visit and to become a part of the Anahata family, I hope to return soon. Dear Kiran, thank you for everything, it was perfect.
