The Springfields is perhaps a bit overpriced by Indian standards, but it's a lovely old building, with a nice garden overlooking the east side of town and the Himalayan foothills. If you stay here, do talk to Vijay the owner, who's family were Maharajahs in a part of what is now Pakistan before having to flee in 1947. He will... More

I was told that this beautiful hotel was 120 years old and it used to be a palace. Some of its furnitures were from back then, I love the architecture and the room I stayed in was very charming. The staff were very friendly and food was excellent. I would have love to take my tea in the garden but... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights while in Shimla. Property is a little out of the central area of Shimla, but is a pleasant walk to The Mall if you stick to the side streets. Property itself is a charming old Shimla residence in the English style with period furniture and decorations, which we did like. However,... More

Pros :easily one of the coziest places in Shimla. Being a heritage property the hotel has a old-worlds charm and easily transports you to a time that most of us has only heard stories about. very well maintained the room we stayed was spacious and opened out to a beautiful garden. Leaving aside the monkey problems in the open areas,... More

We wanted to stay somewhere with the feel of old Shimla , and this was perfect . A wonderful few days in this lovely hotel. So peaceful, having tea and breakfast in the beautiful garden overlooking the mountains . The whole furniture and feel of the place is vintage , and the proprietors and staff were warm and friendly ,... More

My wife and I visited Shimla in late October/early November, 2016 and stayed at the Hotel Springfields. We found it cold in the evenings, but there was no heating in our room. Ultimately we had to go to bed to keep warm. We had to visit the dining room and lounge wearing anoraks, as no attempt was made to heat... More

A boutique hotel, the staff were very welcoming. The garden and view provided an excellent setting for drinking tea and reading. The food was first rate and very fresh. We found the location interesting as we could walk into he main town on very quiet roads through the hills. The decor is from last century and very comfortable. The bedroom was... More

The stay at this place was very good. It was a short trip and the place gave an old world charm. The food was good and the service was excellent. Kids enjoyed the stay as there were several activities which kept them busy.

The staff took very good care and made us feel very special guests this includes also the owner of the hotel. The location is a little bit far from the mall but can also walk within 20-30 mins. However it gives a you privacy & peace. The hotel inside is decorated with beautiful vintage style. Nice and calm place to... More

We have spent One night with Twins Boys and Family in this esteemed Heritage Hotel In SHIMLA on 18/10/16.It's located in Chota Shimla, about 2.5 km from Mall Lift nd 3 km from Mall Road easily accessible by many options. After going through a lot of negative reviews I still chose this to take a risk. And.... I was not... More
