I visited with my friends at Shimla. I would like to share my experience in few points which I found people must know
1. Warm welcome - At check in we were greeted with smile.check in was smooth and very fast. 2 location - The hotel is situated at a lovely location you will find a great view from the hotel and good thing away from city to avoid hustle and bustle of the city 3. Food and staff- We took buffet the food was tasty and staff assisted with fresh food from Kitchen. Special thanks to the Ishul who provided the services with smile and activeness. 4. Hotel provides complete heigenic rooms and people wear Mask and uses sanitiser which I found during the stay

One of the best resorts in shimla. It is pure veg resort and highly recommended for family. We were around 20 people and they made sure all of us were comfortable and satisfied in all aspects from room service to cleanliness to everything else. The customer service had been fantastic. Upon request, they prepared a special menu for us. All the staffs and manager’s were very friendly politely. Kudos to the management for helping us have a fantastic stay. Wish to come back soon again.

Regret to inform you about the worst experience we had during our stay at Hotel La Ri Sa between 13 Feb to 15 Feb
I would want to mention and highlight few points to this effect , so that others visiting this property are aware about them before booking a room :-
1. No one receives/ pick up the call at Hotel Reception . I had been trying to reach them since 2:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M on 13th to update them about my checkin time but no one revived the call . Finally could reach them only at 9:00 PM after multiple tries 2. The Reception staff do not pick up call even when calling from room ! 3. No one available at the Hotel door to receive the guest or take their luggage . After multiple request , luggage was taken in on checkin 4. The meal tray kept outside the room on 13th night were not removed even on 14th night ! 5. On 14th evening , again no staff was available to help pick up the bags till rooon in spite of multiple requests 6. The room heater was not working on 13th night and inspite of telling the reception and house keeping multiple times on 13th night , no one helped and we had to sleep in cold room itself 7. On 13th night, requested for milk for infant multiple times but no one helped 8. The staff , in contrary said that they tried to help in all Possible manner and mistake as of the guest only !! 9. Huge noise from the road whole night of vehicles passing the road 10. The slippery area outside the hotel creates lot of problem for vehicles to enter the hotel but no one sees it inspite of telling
In short , this has been a worst stay of my life after spending 19k for just two nights
When we tried to contact their director, her revert was Let the guest so what is good as per him!!

Booked 2 Junior Suites for a weekend away from the hustle bustle of New Delhi.
Positives: 1. Location is convenient, easy to reach. 2. Staff is courteous & polite. 3. The service is very prompt. And they accomodate all your requests. 4. Rooms and washrooms are clean.
Negatives: 1. Neither the staff nor the guests were wearing masks properly in the common areas or even in the dining area. And this rule was not being implemented by the hotel. 2. The food is average, the number of items are very low for the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet as well. 3. Had issues with hot water on the first day and the central air conditioner wasn't working throughout my stay, although they did provide us with a blower and a heater. 4. We had booked 2 juniors suites. The 1st room was as depicted in the pictures but the 2nd room was smaller and not as shown in pictures.
Suggestions: 1. Given the current Covid situation, stricter mask and social distancing norms need to be mandated for the common areas atleast. 2. The food needs to improve a lot. 3. Common bonfire for the winter months or some other activity like live music or something should be arranged by the hotel.
This hotel has the potential to be an amazing property in Shimla if they listen to the feedback and put it to good use.
P.S. I enjoyed my stay but, the stay could've been a lot better.

We went in the 2nd week of August, 2021 and stayed here for 3 days while visiting Shimla, Kufri, Chail & other nearby places. We stayed in the valley view room which is a supremely beautiful & spacious room on the top floor of the hotel providing a scenic view of the valley in front. The hotel staff especially the manager, reception/ front desk staff & room service staff were excellent. One of the highlights of the hotel services is the spa service which is excellent & I will highly recommend to anyone who is looking to relax in the evening after spending the entire day travelling or sigh-seeing. The location of the hotel is around 7-8 kms away from Mall Road, Shimla where all the main shops, cafes & tourist points of Shimla are located and hence a car would be needed to go to Mall Road from the hotel. However since we wanted to be away from the noise & hustle-bustle of the mall road and to stay in a quiet & serene place hence for us the location of Larisa hotel was perfect. Only suggestion would be to further improve the food options being offered in lunch & dinner buffet.

Well, the best is the taste of the Tea they serve in the La Ri Sa is out of the world. The property is beautiful, neat and big. The room I booked was spacious, warm and comfortable. I had booked valley view. The location is about 3 kms from the mall road making it free from the car horn noises and the hustle bustle of the city. The food was delicious which was served by a quick response team be it in-room dining or in the restaurant. Most important part - Their hospitality. Best staff I have ever come across. I have had the worst experience ever. This hotel should actually shut down. After paying so much for the biggest suite room, the heater was not working through out the night... being in 0 degree temperature. There was no hot water in the bathroom taps. The shower also was not working. They shifted us to smaller room after continuous complaining. But the problem worsened. the heater not working in this room as well.
THE WORST PART about our stay was the indecency shown by one of the waiter... he knocked twice we didnot open the room... he just opened the door himself and started peeping in. I wish to file a complaint for harassment. What about the privacy. They cnt just barge into the room. Never has this ever happened in any hotel.
No one should ever stay here if u wish to be safe. This hotel is not fit to run. Any incident can happen here.

I had the worst experience in this hotel. its expensive, staff is limited and uncooperative. The services are poor. The valley view is basically the citi view. 80% of the food menu is not available. Food that is available is expensive. Say in 500 rs + taxes you will get 4 pcs chicken.
The rooms are so close that you could even hear noises, people speaking from other rooms.
The rooms which are not valley view they will give you the gutter view so that you are forced to upgrade eventually pay more.
