Camp Junga is located at the scenic Village Maheshu in Junga Tehsil, Shimla district at an altitude of about 5100 ft perched on a ridge. It's open year around. The camp is spread across three acres of terraced land and is easily approachable by a jeep track. It is perched on a ridge which gradually climbs into thick pine and oak trees and overlooks the gorge formed by river Ashwini. Challenging trekking trails, rock faces make for the perfect adventure. Away from the city bustle, the wilderness camps are the perfect getaway for an adventure or a relaxed outdoor holiday. Location: 347 km from Delhi and 105 km from Chandigarh. (8 hrs drive by car from Delhi) The camp is in close proximity to Shimla and Chail as well. The camp offers the following facilities: Accommodation is provided in 10 x 12 ft large double fly waterproof canvas tents pitched on permanent base having 2 doors and 4 large roll up windows. There are 20 such units with twin-beds, insulated ground sheet, a small rack and a laptop point. Every unit has a separate 10 x 5 ft private bathroom and toilet having washbasin, a large mirror and a western toilet seat having access through the main tent. Hot water is provided 24 x 7 through our Solar Water Heaters and in-case of no sunshine days in the morning through a locally made water heater called "Hamams." We request all guests to bring in their personal toiletries and towels. Food: There is a fully functional pucca kitchen perched right above the camp; food at our centre is hygienically prepared by our cooks and is simple, wholesome and nutritious. We try and use as much of locally available raw vegetables fresh from the neighboring villages. For dining we have a semi-covered area with free seating facility. All meals are as per fixed menu served at a designated time and area in buffet style. There is a large 800 sq ft multipurpose slate house with large windows for a lot of natural light and great views. There are open lawns in campus which are used for fun games and various activities.

The staff led by Mr. Jitender Sen was very hospitable and took care to make our stay comfortable in all senses. The complete premises, outside and inside the tent, were neat & clean, the linen crisp, and the toilet clean & trouble-free.
We were surprised by the choice of dishes we could pick from and at the versatility of the chef Mr. Davinder Verma.
All in all we had a memorable stay and look forward to repeating it once adventure activities resume there.

We were in group....4 adults, 4 children. Initially planned for a night. Experiencing great hospitality by a staff and also experiencing a great environment and surrounding, we decided to extend fro another day. Believe me we were not liking to come back. The place is amazing, staff is courteous and food is 'finger licking'. Tents are in good condition, bathrooms are attached with tents. There are ample options for kids and adults to enjoy....MUST be place !!

We visited this site as a part of our corporate team outing last year. This is one of the most exciting and thrilling camp sites I've been to. It's located on a hillside and has all the amenities that one could think of. The site has tents with attached bathrooms and w/c for two with hot water facility (this's been one of the best feature of this site as one doesn't have to wait for shared bathrooms), a large dining area that can easily accommodate about 50 people, lot of activities within (team building games organized by trained people, late night bonfire with light music, volleyball, badminton) and off the camp site (rappelling, night trek, river crossing etc.)
The hosts - Amit, Maninder & not to forget Neeraj (our trainer), were stars of the show, they arranged for almost everything we asked even if that was not a part of the standard schedule. Right from food to the service to the activities, everything was planned and crafted for our group needs. Two of my group members were on fast on the day of arrival, and the hosts obliged by arranging/cooking food of these folks separately.
The rappelling through the waterfall was amazing and an altogether different experience what we'd done in the past. The night trek with out any light source was scary yet exciting as it offered a new challenge and thrill at every step we took. Even the team building activities like pipe and marble really helped in breaking the ice and building a strong team.
Each team member and their families (who traveled with us) praised the camp site and the hosts for every thing. I gladly recommend this site for everyone - corporate groups, friends, families and even kids who want to try something different and see the nature with a different view.

Response from VikasBhasin, Owner at LETS Camp Junga
Responded 17 Dec 2017
Hi Arpit We appreciate you visited our camp. However for the benefit of the readers I would like to put things in the right perspective. Firstly, You booked a stay and meals package so no activities were booked. There is an array of activities available on camp however they come at a cost. Secondly, people who come and stay with us want to stay away from crowds and are generally sensitive to the local customs and environment. Getting drunk beyond limits, puking all over the camp and in tents, fighting with our staff to the extent that our manager wanted to call the police is not something we expect from our clients. I wish you well in life. Take care Vikas Bhasin Director

Unique experience of staying in tents instead of hotel rooms. But that doesn't mean the stay is not comfortable. The place provides an amazing experience with trekking opportunities very nearby to the tents.

we had booked 3 tents as apart of a company pleasure trip.it is in mauja maheshu village.the travelling to the camp from shimla was refreshing.we all enjoied all the adventure activities especially the night trekking.the sound of deep darkness feels little bit scarry the little kid.also many activities for kids that would make them love the place and hold us to stay one more day.i not recomment kids below 5 as we have to carry them wile the whole time in the treking could feel little hard.atmosphere was good compare to my home place usually hot up to 49 degree.plenty of places to pick selfys groodp photos, some places we need to take extra care to the kid as they might be fall when their playing activities, overall tis is a must visit and do trekking place in india
