We had stayed at this property on the new year's eve, main attraction is it's view and the proximity to Shimla mall road. However we felt there is definitely room for improvement, the toilet and room looks good but in terms of maintainence not that great! But we loved the individual attention we recieved and the food was amazing too.

We had a fabulous stay for three nights. The room had a quiet nice balcony with excellent view. The hotel is about 15 mins walk from mall , or just 2-3 mins in car ( unless you get stuck in traffic jam) . The reception can arrange for taxi which just takes 100 rupees to drop you to Mall road . Our had opted for breakfast and dinner as a part of the package and I through enjoyed the food. The menu was simple and limited by very.. very.. tasty. The service was exception, Lalit ji who was mostly taking care of things was a exception friendly person and always serving with a smile. The rooms a little small, but very asthetically set and offered comfortable sleep. Overall quite nice experience.

It’s a great hotel for family vacation. The views are amazing and food is as good as(or even better than) home cooked. The staff takes care of you as family members do. Bhagat Ram is the man to go for everything you need. The location is far from hustle bustle and still close enough to walk up to Mall road. Can try it if you want a peaceful stay.

My family and I stayed in Oak tree house ,shimla for 5 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.the hotel is designed like a Swiss chalet with wooden furniture,we would customise meals as per my family's preferences and the manager varunji and helper bhagat ramji went out of the way to accomodate our whims and fancies..this is the place to stay if you want to spend quality time with ur family away from the busy city life...it's 2 km away from the mall so u need to take a cab everytime u want to visit mall road...if u don't want to visit mall road everyday then this is the place to be..thank u once again oak tree house ! Will def come again soon!!

Pros 1. Very nice hotel ambience wise. 2. Amazing sunset view from the balcony. Better than anywhere i guess. 3. Staff is courteous. 4. Food is good. Cleanliness is maintained. Cons 1. 10-15 min walk from mall road. Coming back is downhill so no issues at all. Going up could be, but you can always take a cab upwards. Thats what we did.
