We stayed in the hotel amar palace during our trip to Shimla. I had saw 3 in the trip adviser rafting so selected it . I booked the hotel on Yatra.com. When we checked in the room was below ordinary. The bedsheets wee dirty. To make things even worse the geyser was not working. I had to bath in the...

The hotel isn't in the best location, but the room was neat and well organized, we ordered coffee that was also very good and the view was great. But mostly, the staff's great attitude and will to help at anything was what made staying in the hotel pleasant.

The Hotel is a bit at the top from the Ridge, Shimla. But you will experience the great hosptality by the Hotel staff including the owner (Mam). The receptionist was polite and the room service guys served with smile. A budget hotel with nice big and airy rooms with wonderful mountain views from the window.

Good Hotel to stay but it s situated on height from church. mall road is very near but the height can give you a trouble. but hotel staff & service is very good. You can not reach to this hotel without hiring a Kuli if you have luggage with you. The hotel is peaceful with good visible windows towards outside.

Amar Palace is basically located between Hotel Dreamland and Ashoka Hotel, high up behind Christ Church. You have to carry bags across uneven paths where the taxi drops off. There was no hot water in the room in spite of a big geyser in the bath room.Every time you have to knock the manager for hot water .The room was dirty ....

In this chaotic city build on multiple slopes and ridges, it is hard to find a comfortable place by reading reviews on the net. I took a punt on this one because of views and a short walk to the Mall. This stands as the only plus. Besides that, it is a creepy claustrophobic place and the torturous road getting...

To start off with, I was surprised by the bad reviews. The staff seemed nice and the room, though a little dirty, was large and with a beautiful view! Onto the negatives... For the first night I was absolutely freezing and the shower didn't work very well. I had a bucket shower and then shivered under the blankets. The following...

The bottom line is avoid Shimla in the summertime. I paid over $30 for what was an average $20 room at best. The view was the only thing good about it. At least the room wasn't dirty. Amar Palace is basically located between Hotel Dreamland and Ashoka Hotel, high up behind Christ Church.

Not a good hotel to stay, It does not have any Restaurant n on hotel's website restaurant is mentioned. Poor service, rooms are not good, view is also not good. It is 1km uphill from mall road. Location is very poor.

The approach road of the hotel is very bad. Cannot to by any conveyance near the hotel. You have to take your luggage on your own end. It is also situated at very high (top) in the jungle and in a corner cant reach easily.
