Haveli Dharampura hotel is lauded for its superb location, making it an ideal base for exploring Old Delhi's vibrant markets and historical sites, though guests should exercise caution after dark. The hotel's enchanting atmosphere, complete with cultural events and traditional decor, is a highlight for guests, despite occasional noise and pollution. While service is highly regarded for its attentive and friendly staff, there are rare suggestions for enhancement.
Guests commend the cleanliness and well-appointed rooms, though some note issues with light pollution and cleanliness. Despite the charm and array of amenities, including a rooftop terrace and gastronomic delights, several guests feel the hotel's pricing doesn't reflect the value received.

Great place to stay but I have a warning at the end of the review that you should be aware of.
New Delhi has no shortage of hotels and it is easy to miss Hotel Dharampura situated in the heart of Old Delhi. A heritage building that has been painstakingly restored to its old glory, Hotel Dharampura offers an old-world charm that is quite difficult to find elsewhere in Delhi. From the traditional reception to the ethnic décor of the suites, from the authentic Indian buffet breakfast served in the mornings to the music & dance cultural program at night, every aspect of stay at Dharampura has been consciously thought of and is infused with Indian traditions. Lounging on the terrace is its own delight – listen to Jama Masjid’s Azaan, watch the kids flying their kites from the rooftops and monkeys hanging from residential washing lines, the sight of the majestic Red Fort in the distance is like being transported to another era. The two flip sides staying at Dharampura - no room service for meals, and since the hotel is situated at the end of a narrow alley where cars can’t reach, the walk to the hotel may feel somewhat unsafe at night; we made it a point to call the hotel reception and asked for the guard to accompany us from the main road where the cabs stop. The wifi in our room was also a bit dodgy, but calling the reception was easy and the staff was there to help at any time. In short, staying at Dharampura was a unique and pleasurable experience.
WARNING for those that need to stay on schedule, that area of old Delhi can be very hard to get in/out of by vehicle. When the market is on, it can take an hour just to get out of the street. Taxi/Uber drivers are aware of this so they may be reluctant to pick from there. So if you are going to the airport or are in a rush, you may need to allow an extra hour for the first 500m depending on what day and what time of day.

Fantastic locality right in old Delhi and within walking distance of the major markets as well as the Red Fort and the Jamal Masjid (largest mosque in India). Great friendly staff that were always on hand to help and lovely meals provided in a wonderful atmosphere complete with traditional dancing on some nights of the week. The restoration of this old Haveli has been very well done with spacious bedrooms and great rooftop views over the old city. Highly recommended if you want to get a feel of really being in India.

You are right in the heart of Old Delhi - so much so that the hotel can't be reached by car! But, that's not a problem, as they come out and pick up you and your luggage in the nearby street, i.e. not alley. The hotel is stunningly gorgeous. The restaurant is superb, though a bit pricey, e.g the least expensive bottle of wine is $40. And, the bigger problem is that your only other walkable dining options are street food. That said, the hotel food is fantastic and the food itself isn't that pricey, just the alcohol (oddly, they had no beer while we were there, though it's on the bar menu). And, finding beer in Old Delhi is a major chore! As lovely as the hotel is, I wouldn't recommend staying for more than two days. The chaos that is Old Delhi is exhilarating, but also draining. Moreover, you'll have done everything you need to do in Old Delhi within two days. The staff was amazingly professional and affable. Overall, I highly recommend - it's a stay we'll always remember, and for all the right reasons!

It is located in a very very divey area. I didnt feel safe walking around at night, and wouldnt have felt comfortable walking around at any time during the day by myself. Although the hotel is relatively new, all of the bed and bath linens are dingy and it appears that they were hung dry in the highly polluted air of Delhi. The bathroom was grimy, and it appeared that it hadnt received a good clean in a long time. Compared to other hotels in New Delhi that we stayed in thereafter for the same price, this hotel is a joke. I can list many more things that were sub par vs the other hotel we stayed in for the same price. My main complaint is the cleanliness factor and the fact that the furniture of the rooms also felt that they hadnt been updated in years. Toiletries provided were something from a motel. Only provided 2 bottles of clean water per day. Room opened up directly onto the center of the hotel, so no privacy and no barrier between you and the pollution. This is about a $70 room for which you are likely paying a lot more than that.

I booked a beautiful room here for the last night of our holiday in India which also happened to be Valentines Day. Our first impression when we arrived was WOW!! We were asked if we would like a table for dinner which we said we would and were told we could have the one immediately outside of our room but that as they were extremely busy that night we couldn’t have it until 8.30 - 9 which was fine with us. However it became pretty apparent by about 8.40 that the couple sitting on the table were not only unaware that they were expected to vacate the table but that they were still half way through the set menu. Having spoken with the manager my husband was informed that we should never have been promised that table and so could either eat off our coffee table which they would move outside of our room or alternatively have a table on the ground floor in a small room adjacent to the inner courtyard where the music was being played. What made this even more irksome was that the couple who were on that table told my husband that they hadn’t requested that table and had wanted to start their meal at 7 as they wanted to get away by 8.30. This was after we had waited over half an hour for a bottle of wine. The general impression was that they had overstretched themselves and instead of the manager acknowledging this and being apologetic he became defensive which made us feel as if we were the ones at fault. The food was fabulous, entertainment great and the waiting staff were lovely. Sadly the saga did not end there as on going to bed at roughly 11.30 the noise from the kitchen below was so bad it was as if our room was actually in the middle of it!! (Unfortunately I can’t upload the video I took of this). I raised this the next morning when we were leaving only to be told that it was because they’d been so busy the night before due to the Valentines Day bookings, again no apologies. Such a shame that such a lovely jewel in Old Delhi was blemished for us by the lack of quality customer service which is something we had experienced everywhere else we had visited in India. Sadly we won’t go back.

This hotel has our heart!
I travelled throughout the north of India with my father in January 2020 and stayed at the Haveli at the start and end of our loop tour. The absolute best accomodation of the entire trip was the “WelcomHeritage Dharampura Haveli” in Old Delhi.
Over the 4 nights we stayed there the general service was so friendly but professional, and breakfast, lunch and dinner there were all wonderful. The breakfast staff remembered how much I loved the small clay pot of mouth watering porridge and brought it as a complimentary treat after dinner on our final night.
The location was surprising and brilliant! We absolutely loved staying in the middle of Old Delhi, having to navigate the narrow alleyways to even get to the hotel was unforgettable - there was always someone from the hotel to walk us to get to your private car when we hadn't learnt the way down the alleys yet. We never felt unsafe even on our late night bazaar adventures in the dark! The rooms there were unique, clean and well equip with excellent heating.
The Haveli atmosphere was absolutely the best! Unforgettable. Never will we stay at a large newly built hotel in Delhi.

We visited Haveli Dharampura for a dinner on 14 Feb.
This an old haveli which has been refurbished extensively, and beautified.
This can only be accessed through narrow lanes in the old part of the city.
However, the surroundings remain run down, and dirty.
The hotel had done special arrangements for dinner with a set menu and tables laid out on each of the different levels.
There was also a live band playing Western music, and traditional classical dance performances.
We chose to have the vegetarian option, since there was hardly any difference in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
The food was good, and so was the service.
The ambiance was very nice.
Would recommend to those wanting to visit Old Delhi, amidst a bit of luxury.

We stayed here in December. The hotel being in the heart of chandni chowk is difficult to reach but I wanted my child to experience what chandni chowk is all about.
The hotel is nice with a total of 14 rooms so makes it a quaint stay.
The food is ok but I must call out the staff that they have to be a lot more courteous. Simple examples where they could have done a lot better is so the staff came to drop the luggage to a place where we could get a cab(thankful for that) but the staff just left the luggage and went without even caring whether the guest gets the cab or not.
Food service was done as a service but with the genuine care or attitude missing.
I asked for a medicine as simple as Crocin and the hotel didn't have that. They were kind enough to take money from me and buy it. I asked for a thermometer which luckily they had but they pestered me 1 hr after giving it to return it as some other guest needed it.
We are talking of a premium hotel here with room night cost in excess of 15000 per night, these I think are basics which the hotel could have done a lot better

It’s a great hotel with a very scenic setting that takes you back in history.
Situated in the heart of Old Delhi, you get immersed in the culture and hustle and bustle of this vibrant city.
Rooms are cozy, clean and well designed. They provide you with some complementary snacks and (non-bottled) water. There’s a little shop opposite the hotel (closed on Sundays) that sells bottled water if you don’t dare drinking the one provided in the room.
Staff is really nice, helpful and always happy to help. They have 2 classical Indian dance shows every evening, which contribute to an immersive experience!
Food is excellent and really worth the visit even if you’re coming just for dinner. They have an extensive menu, targeted to give you a true taste of local cuisine.
The downside of it, however, is that being an old building it is not soundproof, and you can hear the beeping from the street and babies crying at night. When they play music in the atrium of the hotel, you can hear it from your room, and for some (like myself) is not a big deal because it helps sleep.. just warning in case some ppl need complete silence to dal asleep.
Additionally, we found that the lack of bar area almost forced you to go to your room straight after dinner, which sometimes is what you want (however, it’s nice to chill in a communal area while having a drink). You can certainly chill on the roof top, but when it’s 32 degrees in the evening you’d rather stay indoors with air con!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here, and would strongly recommend to anyone who is seeking for an adventurous stay and certainly out of the ordinary!

and excellent service with great roof top views.
Brilliant breakfast.
Room quite small but good sized bathroom.
I think the food at dinner was overpriced although tasty and alcoholic beverages excessively overpriced. Beer 450 rupees for 33 cl. ie over £5.00 for less than half pint lager. Wine extortionate.
Very few restaurants in the neighbourhood which is surrounded by alleys and very busy.

Took hi tea day package with kite flying by paying 1200 INR + taxes.. welcome drink choice ( non alcoholic), unlimited local starters, unlimited snacks (golgappas, allu tikki, spinich pakoras and sev bun etc.. was served.. so you can estimate cost for dinner or can directly go to their website and ask for dinner and alcoholic beverages price.. :-) room rates are 10K inr to 20k inr. It is not cheap but comes under medium to high price range.
My response reflects my review. If you haven't booked yet, book an alternate hotel. The place is badly serviced and the staff are rude. They have external functions in the courtyard which are basically outside your room.
yes. but not later than 10pm perhaps.
