An exquisite haveli for anyone wanting a more genuine experience of India in New Delhi - this family-run business provides warm, personal service. Large rooms and bathrooms, public areas filled with books, art and the owners own spectacular photos, which have been published in several coffee table books. A lovely breakfast and great upstairs terrace to relax and, if you don't want to eat in, there's the marvellous southern Indian restaurant reasonably priced Naivedyam, which does great thali plates, amongst other dishes ten minutes away by taxi in the upmarket Hauz Khas village. Here also is the Hauz Khas park and ruins several centuries old, and very worth a wander around late afternoon before dining.

This guest house is about 20 minutes from the airport, tucked away in a quiet side street but close to good local restaurants and transport. We stayed two nights at the start of a 23 night trip and didn't eat out as the home cooking was so good. The hosts are lovely and it was like staying in a family home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Another guest we got chatting to was staying one night only as she was flying out again the next day, but didn't want an AirPort hotel. We all agreed over dinner that night that it was worth getting away from the airport just to enjoy the lovely home feel and hospitality. We were very well looked after.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The people that run this hotel are wonderful hosts and very helpful. They gave us a hotspot so that we could use our cell phones and use Uber while we were out sightseeing. We paid $85 US dollars a night, so I don’t think it’s a good value. We stayed at a luxury hotel in Connaught Place in Delhi that was almost the same price.

Two of the best things about Haveli Hauz Khas are the warm and welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The staff provide excellent and friendly service. Our room was large and airy and freshly painted. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was generous and the public areas are inviting. The Haveli is in a quiet residential area and myself and teenage daughter felt safe walking around the local streets. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

Usually when we travel we like to stay in the thick of things in the old city. However, given how overwhelming and chaotic Old Delhi is, with some misgivings I decided on South Delhi. Boy, am I glad I did, and I'm especially glad I chose Haveli Hauz Khas. Our room (the Banni Room) was lovely, and was adorned with pictures taken by the owner's parents of various Indian tribes. The breakfast is to die for; I highly recommend the aloo paratha with their homemade marmalade and mango chutney. Finally, Guntas was a warm and solicitous host; eager to answer any question. When we got caught out in a freak hailstorm (!) he offered to make us soup or tea. Exactly the kind of pampering I craved after days spent in tumultuous Old Delhi.

The Haveli is beautifully decorated with traditional textiles, furniture, art and photos. The rooms are large and very comfortable and extremely clean - we stayed in January and it was warm and cosy too! . You feel relaxed and welcome in somebody’s house.
The staff are very helpful and pleasant but unobtrusive. Andrew went out of his way to help me arrange various things for work. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. The breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit and yoghurt, freshly cooked parathas and great chai! Perfect!
The location is great and we enjoyed walking to Hauz Khas village, to the old fort there and the lake. It was in a very safe neighbourhood and we felt very comfortable as female travellers.
We would definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend it.

My wife and I enjoyed a great 2 night stay at Haveli Hauz Khas. The owners were incredibly efficient prior to our arrival and were very accommodating in helping us organise airport transfers and a driver to take us to the Taj Mahal. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast is fantastic. I thoroughly recommend the indian breakfast, it was delicious. The owner is full of recommendations of restaurants and things to do nearby.

We had the most lovely stay at Haveli Hauz Khas...the room, the food, the hospitality, the decor, everything was top notch. It feels like one is in a heritage hotel with art and photos from across India that are tastefully put on display everywhere. I also love nature, however, finding a peaceful green area in Delhi is difficult. The Haveli is thankfully located right next to a park so it's soothing to see all the green foliage from the windows in the room facing it, and see/hear the birds as well. We started the couple of days we stayed there with a scrumptious and beautifully laid out breakfast and thereafter explored places like Dilli Haat. We finished each day with a delicious and nourishing dinner prepared upon request. The staff is very kind and welcoming and they treat you like family!! Finally, with our return flight in the middle of the night, it took only about 20 minutes to get to the airport from Hauz Khas. Can't beat this place if you want welcoming comfort + culture + location!!

This small guest house is in a small gated community and has a lovely calm atmosphere. The house is modern and light and if you are interested in textiles, it has some great examples of rugs and other artefacts from Indian regions. Also some very interesting photos of tribes people taken by the owner.
We did not eat here in the evening and breakfast was good without being exceptional. Very peaceful until the airport opened at 5 am - the property is right under the flight path.
