We arrived on the Thursday as our G Adventure tour started the Saturday morning. First impressions were not good. It is in the middle of a motor district so unless you need car parts, there is nothing to do. We were then shown to our room. The first thing that hits you is the overwhelming smell of damp. They take a rolled up duvet out of the wardrobe and leave it on your bed. This too is damp and an off white colour with stains all over it. We did not use it. The shower was filthy and there was a disgusting brown mat on the floor which squelched when you stood on it. The toilet was stained and leaking, the taps on the sink were dirty and not secure. The shelf on the wall in the corner was covered in dirt and hair. We didnt eat for 2 days as there is no restaurant (although they have a menu but don't know where they get the food from) and judging by the poor hygiene in our room, you couldn't risk it. We didn't dare go out as the taxi driver said it was unsafe and there was nowhere to go anyway. The noise from the road is relentless and when the shops eventually close, you have a chorus of dogs barking all night. Warm drinking water only available to buy from the hotel. We said to reception but they weren't interested and said they were fully booked so couldn't move us. We were supposed to stay here again the last night of our G Adventures Tour but opted to stay in a 5* hotel at the airport. That was bliss. I am surprised G Adventures still use this hotel as there have been lots of complaints. I will be taking it up with them directly. Good luck if you stay here. Stuck in hotel for two days as nothing local to do…
We were travelling with G Adventures and when we first arrived at this hotel we were quite shocked at its location, it’s in the middle is an area dominated by noisy motorbike shops and there was rubble and rubbish everywhere. The room we were allocated was large but very worn down and tired and the bedding didn’t look overly clean. The bathroom had seen better days and could have done with a deep clean. We were staying for the first and last night of our trip at this hotel and during our welcome meeting in a grubby airless room we complained to our guide and many of us said we probably wouldn’t stay again on the last night of our trip and would book a room in another hotel. However when we did arrive back on our last day we could clearly see that an effort had been made by the hotelier and the front of the hotel was swept and a lot cleaner. The linen in our room seemed fresher and there was obviously a smell of paint around. So basically would I recommend staying there? Probably not, the location is fairly good as it’s close to the market area and it is owned by a local family and not a huge corporation. However there is no restaurant or bar and any food you order is delivered to your room but it’s not clear where it’s actually come from and although the owners are trying to update the hotel it still needs major improvements.…
Firstly the first photo on booking.com is not a true representation of the hotel so our hearts sunk when we realised where we were staying when we arrived. This was part of a G adventures tour and we had blindly booked the night before and after the tour as it seemed like a lot of effort to move. We stayed the first 2 nights and cancelled the end of tour (1 night was paid for as part of the tour). Instead we paid to stay on the holiday inn next to the airport for ease (highly recommend doing this if you on a G tour, the majority of our tour did). Good points: hotel staff are friendly and room was large. Breakfast was okay. Bad points: The hotel needs some tender loving care, a good clean and a bit of upgrade. I didn’t expect a modern hotel room but at least a room that was clean and free from damp. The room felt colder inside than out. We did get a heater after 3 failed attempts but is not sufficient for the size. It made little to no difference and especially when they turned it off from downstairs! There was no communal space so no where to hope to meet people pre tour to get around. The noise level is pretty high as it’s on a well used room. Location is Delhi - stay somewhere upper market. *I would just like to make it clear that the rest of the G tour (golden triangle) accommodation was fine. It was almost like they started as so low that we couldn’t get anything worse. Glamping with no insulation was warmer and felt luxurious compared to here. …
I’ve been away with G Adventures a few times and so was surprised this hotel was used to start and end the tour. The hotel is not located in a great area to walk around bike/mechanics businesses). The bedding was filthy, the room had no heating and was freezing and the noise levels meant we hardly had any sleep (dogs barking, kids running around hotel at 1am, road noises). On a plus side the hotel staff were very helpful with taking bags to your room, room service and helping to book tours.
Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning and end of a tour. Rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors were noisy due to the busy street and howling dogs. Both times check in was quick and efficient and our bags taken to our room. The rooms are more than adequate with comfortable beds, bedside tables, chair, TV, fan and AC. wi fi worked well. The bathrooms were a little shabby but there was constant hot water, towels and some toiletries. Breakfast can be ordered and served in your room. All the hotel staff are welcoming and engaging.
I stayed three nights in Hotel Grand Park Inn and enjoyed the friendly customer service. Room was clean and air conditioning worked. The beds were very hard for my liking and they could do with purchasing new linen and pillows but apart from that it was fine. The area, while being close enough to walk to the market is full of auto shops with the result that it is extremely noisy and very busy with motorbikes etc.
This hotel was prebooked by my tour company for our New Delhi stay. Rooms were adequate, but lacking toiletries. Last night at the hotel, air condition was not blowing cold air. Reception is very helpful though in booking tuktuks or advising best ways to get around Delhi. They also provide currency exchange, which I found to be the best in the city. No dining area, but they will serve breakfast to your room.
As a part of my official visit to Delhi , stayed at Grand Park Inn. Well maintained AC rooms with good connectivity of Wi-Fi. Polite and friendly staff with prompt room service. Neat and clean spacious rooms . Walkable from metro station & Main Karol Bagh Market. Will visit again .
Stayed here whilst on a G Adventures tour. On arrival was shocked at the area, mechanics area so very dirty and noisy. Hotel room was extremely dirty and damp with mould growing on headboard. Issues with air con, hot water and drinks from room service were vile. Don’t stay here, really surprised G Adventures still use it after so many complaints.
I have stayed here many times. First time was in 2005. Over the years the hospitality has always been wonderful. It always feel as if I’m coming to stay with a warm and welcoming family. Over the years i have brought friends with me, English,Spanish as well as family, all have complimented the staff. There is, it seems, nothing the staff will do for you without a smile. I have felt safe and protected as a single woman and also staying with female friends. Mr Madan is always obliging even if he is not on the premises as well as his staff. The rooms are clean, excellent WiFi, wonderful breakfast. It is not a luxury hotel but you’re not paying for a luxury hotel. I have recommended this hotel to friends and colleagues and will continue to do.
