This wasn’t your regular hotel tourist stay... although the room was quite nice and comfy, and close to all nearby popular spots in Delhi. I stayed here during the first few days of the coronavirus lockdown in Delhi... and the hotel staff was exceptional at alleviating any problems I faced such as getting food. They took extra care to clean and sanitize the rooms and hands, and offered meals throughout the day as well for a very reasonable price (at a time where you couldn’t find food anywhere). This was a safe place for me to be while I waited for a rescue flight back home. Thank you for all your efforts, and I hope to stay here again in the future under better circumstances! Be well and safe.

The Smyle Hotel provides good rooms with air conditioning, en suite facilities and affordable & nourishing room service options (complimentary breakfast included), all for a very reasonable price. Located just off one of New Delhi's main strips for good bars & restaurants, the location is ideal either as a base from which to see the city or as an overnight stay within a 5 minute walk of the main train station.

By far and away the best feature is the staff. The hospitality we received was excellent, with 24/7 care, and our hosts were amendable to a host of requests, from last minute extensions on our stay to sorting our laundry & shopping requirements (for hardly any profit). They have a license to navigate the complicated train system (almost impossible for foreign nationals to navigate) and essentially helped us to book trains, planes & cars for half of our month long trip around the country.

Couldn't recommend highly enough for anyone travelling the country.

If you're staying in this part of Delhi you're probably an independent traveller who's more interested in location, security and possibly hygiene. Smyle meets these criteria well. This is my second visit there.
Staff are friendly and helpful and when our train was cancelled at late notice, Ali was able to book an alternative at a modest booking fee saving us time and hassle.
Rooms are basic but secure and clean. Towels are provided and hot water "out of hours is available by request".
Ali also arranged Airtel Sim cards in the hotel. You need your passport and visa.
If you're here in winter, it's cold so rug up. Especially for the rooftop breakfast.

They sent a driver to pick us up from the airport, at a charge of course, which was nice. There was a bit of confusion at checkin as the guy on the desk spoke little English but after a little while someone else appeared who was a lot more helpful, checking was easy and the manager gave us many tips and recommendations, very nice guy, very chatty, he also got the local vodaphone rep to set us up Indian SIM cards which cost us 900INR for 2, (the 1.5gb a day deal) and took about an hour to set up.

We threw our bags into the room and headed out for some well needed dinner. The issues arouse when returning to the room that night when we uncovered numerous issues:

1. A minor inconvenience but non the less, the tv ‘package’ advertised with the room was non existent, there was a tv but none of the channels worked.
2. I went to take a shower but the ‘switch’ to change between the tap and the shower head was broken, there was a bucket on the floor, I assume the hotel wanted me to fill the bucket and pour it over me as an alternative.
3. There was no hot water so I proceeded to pour buckets of cold water over me in order to get washed.
4. The worst issue, there was a leak from the bottom of the toilet, therefore, toilet water slowly pooled into the bathroom, as you can imagine - very unpleasant.
5. The aircon stopped working in the middle of the night and started pouring water inside the room and into my bag.

After a small but tasty breakfast (included) on the rooftop terrace we raised the issue with reception. They came to look at the issues, took photos and apologized, a guy came up 5mins later and spent half an hour messing with the tv box. I told him this was the least of our problems and insisted we move room. He still persisted. I spoke to reception a second time and told them we needed to move room, which they finally sorted after some other guest checked out. The new room was good, apart from a couple of large cockroaches in the bathroom.

When settling our bill I asked for a discount as the first night of our stay was abysmal and I got laughed at, for the sake of £11 I left it at that and decided to write this review to vent my frustration, if you stay here, hopefully you have a better time than us.

PS bring earplugs, you can hear cars beeping and dogs barking alllll night.

The rooms are nice and big. The staff are very helpful and the environment in the hotel feels like home. The rooms are available as per price so you can get rooms in cheaper price as well if you are willing to stay in a smaller room.

Nice staff, especially Jai! 12 minute walk or so the RK Ashram Marg metro, so super convenient location! They have a travel desk, airport pick-up/drop off 24/7, a TV with a firestick, A/C, soap, and toilet paper! They also have money exchange and water/soda for purchase. The breakfast is good too! They make a good cup of coffee! The staff is super helpful and will give you good recommendations!

I spent 4 days and nights at this place and I loved it. The place is affordable, clean and staff are friendly. They even served breakfast included with the nominal price of rent. Will surely visit again :)

In my travels, I have learned that there are three things that the world needs more: education, honor, and courtesy. The owner of Smyle Inn, Harrish, represents all three. When I booked my room, I asked that my internet be fast enough to teach a class. When I discovered my wifi was not strong enough, within minutes, he immediately solved the problem by giving me access to ultra fast wifi. Harrish kept his word. When I though that the local money changer cheated me with fake bills (though it turns out they were real and that my UV light was not strong enough), Harrish had one of his employees accompany me and made the changer vow to refund in full or switch the bills the next day if I wished. Harrish had my back. But most importantly, Harrish had the courtesy of greeting me every time he saw me and even sending a personal goodbye message after staying at his Inn more than two weeks. Harrish showed basic courtesy.

The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. It was way too cold for us and usually they don't allow heaters in the room but the staff worked it out with management and was able to let us have a portable heater. It kept the room nice and warm and we were able to get a comfortable sleep. Everyone here was super sweet and gave us all the information we needed. It was also clean and they had hot water! We felt very safe in this hotel as well as walking around at night, the location was right off the main bazaar which was a cool experience. Definitely recommend for people who are visiting Delhi for the first time.

REFUSE TO HAVE ROOM 43 !!! (it had no number on the door, it is directly to the left of the travel desk/lounge on 4th floor) The window is not properly sealed, meaning there is no escape from the noise outside...as well as the general street noise, a local dog pack is howling for 10 minutes at a time, around 2am and 4am and trains are hooting all night. I stayed 6 nights and it was the same every night. Tiny room, not as shown in the photos. The shower room is badly designed with a sink right in front of the toilet, to the extent that I had to sit side on! The toilet cistern drips away constantly. The room is unclean, filth visible in the door vents and on the light/fan switches. No light or light switch by bed. The other hostel guests were very noisy. I told a staff member about the window, he simply smiled and said sorry...no offer to help, e.g. change room, fix seal. As other reviews mention, don't forget he presence of an open urinal, at the entrance to the alley off Main Bazaar Rd. Only positives are I found the firm mattress comfortable and the wi-fi is good. Please don't stay here, the photos are misleading, it's too noisy, it's not clean, it's poorly designed. Pay just a little more and you will do so much better.

Hi there is no hidden cost. All rates that you see in our site are final. Only thing is room rent more than 1000 which is superior and family rooms attract 12% tax extra.
