Detailed Reviews
Don't be deceived by the set back entrance ! Once inside it was very clean, lots of hot water, receptionists that are always willing to help and accommodating and a great breakfast. The interior decorations were also inspiring ! Good value for money and they help with airport transport too.

Bed and Chai wasn't terrible, it was totally decent for a backpacker hotel. However it's the same price as some similar and nicer hotels nearby, especially if you negotiate.
If you want a backpacker vibe then this is the place for you. But if you don't care about that you can get a cheaper, larger, better serviced place around the corner.

the B&B is close to the metro station (takes you everywhere in minutes and for a couple of rupees), in a residential area in delhi, very nice and convenient.. breakfast is really tasty, served by kind madhu! very confortable and warm beds, good for a rest after your days in crazy delhi
all services they offer (ticket reservation, taxi pick up/drop off) are a bit expensive (they`ll charge you a comission), maybe its better if you reserve the tickets on your own.. they`ll even charge you to print the tickets you buy!
all in all, very pleasant stay in delhi! thank you madhuu

I stayed there for two or three nights. The first night was in a very small, windowless room that I found a bit too cramped, so the next night I moved to a larger room, which was really comfortable. I was received with such kindness and gracious hospitality. I really felt very much at home there. The rooms were spotless. The location is excellent. And it's a superb value. Highly recommended!

My experience here was a nightmare for a solo female traveller in Delhi. Please avoid it if you are a solo female traveler. I brought receipts (CHECK PHOTOS)
I read great reviews and I was really looking forward to staying here. In the end, I felt threatened for my safety, got humiliated, and a pepper spray was my only defense while three men surrounded me.
Here is my 3 hours ordeal at Bed and Chai, Delhi for a reservation made through booking.com on 10th September 2023
- At 5:00 PM: I checked into Bed and Chai, Delhi and made a bank transfer, sent the
receipt from my bank below
- At 5:10 PM: I got my room, relieved after a long journey. At 5:24 PM: They said they
didn't get my payment and threatened to kick me out if they didn't get it in an hour.
- At 6:27 PM: Things got worse when I received a scary message, and they made me
leave my room (see ref 2). They later deleted this message. (see ref 3)
- At 6:30 PM: I called Booking.com, but they couldn't help much. They told me to find
another place and promised a refund for the trouble.
- At 7:00 PM: Bed and Chai staff named Alfred (Ref 5) gave me a note saying they'd
refund the money and forced me to leave. Picture of the staff and an non-official note
issued by Bed and Chai promising me refund (Ref 6)
- At 7:14 PM: They sent a guy to WATCH me pack. I took a photo fearing for my safety because
they wouldn’t allow me to lock the room. (See Ref 7)
- At 7:46 PM: THEY TEXTED SAYING THEY GOT MY BANK TRANSFER (See Ref 8)

Bed and Chai was a great location, friendly staff, charming Utilitarian rooms. The plug points are a challenge and food overpriced, but there are plenty of options if you simply step out. M block and N block markets are close by and must explore :)

We stayed at Bed & Chai Guesthouse for three nights and had a very comfortable stay. Cora, Bibesh and their team really ensured everything went smoothly, and helped us find our way around Delhi by booking cabs and recommending places. The food at the guest house is great, we had the best curry of our India trip at Bed & Chai! The team also helped us organise our further trip to Chandigarh by booking train tickets for us. Delhi can be overwhelming, but with Bed & Chai as a starting point we really had a superb stay.

I stayed in the property for 4 nights. The stay was plasent. I had chosen to stay in a dormitory which had 8 beds but only 4 to 5 were usually occupied. The beds were comfortable and quite clean. The atmosphere is plasent. All guests were mannered and sensable. No hassle and bustle or noise. Total peace of mind. The bathroom is big and clean. Linen is of good standard. The place is well maintained giving an antique and classical looks and putting artistic approach to decorate the place. They have rooms also and take good care not to disturb the guests while there stay. I was most probably the only local staying in the property and all other guests were foreigners mostly french. The internet if free and work well. They provide sumptuous breakfast and are ready to satisfy your taste as per you mood. The preparation is good. They have two kitchens one for the guests to be used by them as per there need and the other for there personal preparation to feed the guests. The staff is polite and most helpful. The terrace is calm and plasent and one can enjoying the evening while taking a sip of a drink. The neighbourhood is a posh residential colony.
The best thing i like about the management is they don't try to charge you on every tits and bits. I had a early check in on the first day which they gave complimentary and also provided the breakfast which was otherwise chargeable.
The manager Mr Madhu is ready to sincerely advice you about any dam things you need.
In short the place is so good that you would hardly feel you are away from the comfort and convenience of your home. You can cook, eat, sleep, surf internet and take a hot bath and relax in a air-conditioned polution free environment.
I really enjoyed the stay and would certainly recommend every one.
The only thing which may annoy some id that the property is on the 3rd and 4th floor and doesn't have any lift.
I would certainly be staying in the property in future visits to the place.

There is a small restaurant but I never ate there as I only stayed short time. I walked about 6 mins to a very nice Nepali restaurant that was very hygienic and served very good food.
