I arrived on Diwali and was treated to a meal on the rooftop. Stayed for 4 days. Food was great, special thanks to Moses! My bedroom was clean and comfortable with a balcony. They also helped me hugely with my train tickets. Very ethical in every aspect too. Many thanks.
The room was really clean, ac was working well and I also had a balcony. The staff was very helpful and provide me a nice dinner because I arrived there late and nothing was open. The breakfast they provide was very appreciable.
I stayed here for one night and also had a day here to break up my travels to elsewhere in India. The staff are all very friendly and I felt at home there. A peaceful escape from the busy streets of Delhi. Would recommend :)
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights with a spilt in between the nights - (the guesthouse let us keep our big bags there whilst we went on a weekend away) ROOMS: such comfy and crisp white sheet beds. Very clean room and wonderful quirky decor. It feels very homely and chic. The WiFi doesn’t work too well in rooms on the top floor however - best nearest reception. Fan and air con work perfectly. FOOD: breakfast included is great! The chef is so lovely and whips everything up so fast. You get a choice of combos: eggs, fruit, French toast, muesli, coffee, chai. There is an on site fridge that you can grab beers, water and the tastiest refreshing fruity fizzy drinks - mangooooo oh yes! You can also fill up filtered water for free. STAFF: They are all lovely and so…
I've been regularly staying at Bed & Chai for quite sometime now. To start with, it is very well located and quite reasonably priced according to location of the guesthouse. The staff is very courteous, always ready to help and prepares the best breakfast for their guests. The rooms are minimalistically arty with basic amenities and the property has a terrace open for guests. Market areas are all over & very close-by for eating and shopping. I would highly recommend this guesthouse for your stay in Delhi.
I loved the vintage style and decoration, staff are very friendly and kind, great location for a stay in South Delhi and visiting Lotus temple. There are nice and cozy areas to chill out. Serves great breakfast.
A little hard to find (the street numbers are a bit quirky and the signage isn't great...look for the vetrinarian signs), but well worth the minor trouble. I REALLY enjoyed this place for two full weeks. At least one nice sunny balcony & there's also a nice terrace with chairs and tables (once you get past the machinery). CLEAN, spartan, but the more you look, the more the lovely design touches emerge. The owner and desk people are very NICE and speak good English. No TV at all, but WiFi in the private and common rooms. Small restaurant with a limited but tasty and affordable menu that changes day to day (if you want to buy your own food, make arrangements with the cook for him to fix it for you). No elevator, so let them know in advance that you'll need help up and down the…
If you plan to stay in Delhi and are looking for an affordable and comfortable place, this is it ! Located in a nice and safe neighbourhood, the guesthouse is very clean and comfortable. Dormitory and rooms are available, some rooms with private bath. Fans and ACs are there, (hot) water as well. There is a rooftop to chill out, weather allowing. Wifi and breakfast are included, you can also order meals at a very affordable price. The staff is friendly and helpful. 10 mn walking distance from the metro station (Kailash Colony) and close to markets. Only con: traffic makes it a bit noisy.
Pros: Arranged arrival/departure transfer. Booked train tickets Soft comfortable bed- a rarity in India it seems. Lovely and obliging staff Nice breakfast Excellent chai Hot water and good water pressure. Cons: Bring earplugs Drainage in bathroom not so great.
Good staff, felt room was clean, hot water worked, as did WiFi. Creepy alley leading up to place and then a dark staircase going up to reception. Totally charmless. Nonetheless, a good pick for people on a very tight budget.
