The hotel is huge and looks like a heritage property. Well maintained rooms and well furnished. comfortable to stay. The food is good but expensive. Since the hotel is a Govt. undertaking, don't expect the hospitality like private hotels.

Centrally located in the heart of Delhi this hotel has an old world charm to it. We had booked 2 rooms. Rooms were good but requires bit of renovation. Staff was helpful and polite. What I loved most was the sumptuous breakfast spread. Overall had a pleasant stay.

It was nth visit to Ashoka but first after Covid 2. Had some problem at reception as they could not locate reservation. It, took about 10 minutes and visit to back office where issue was sorted. Staff was polite and helping during all this procedure. Room is same. Old Ashoka but less Complimentey food basket. Took a tour of lobby various restaurant like Frontier, Audh and SagarRatna. Huge place but very few guests. Could not taste breakfast as left early morning.

The entrance and architecture of the property is nice but the service is pathetic. It’s because employees think they are government employees so there is no service provided, I would never stay in this hotel. They almost spilled coffee on me and rooms have smoky air, AC doesn’t work, no clean bedsheets and pillows. Bathroom smells like urine all over. Terrible terrible place to stay.

The Ashok holds childhood memories. It was a treat to stay here when travelling to Delhi as a child, and that is one of the reasons I booked this hotel on my recent visit. To begin with, I got a great deal. ITs centrally located, so that helps. Its clean and safe. However, the check-in took ages- for some reason just one person on reception was checking in guests. Wasalso asked to deposit INR 3k for eventualities (?) a bit strange. I paid by card, and they said it would tale 12-15 days to refund. Anyway, The rooms were adequate and clean. The breakfast was a largish spread- but it all was too cooked and heavy. For eg. Pasta for breakfast! I'd have liked to see more fresh and healthy breakfast menu, even if they made the number of dishes smaller. The staff were all friendly and nice. But, I do feel it needs to catch up with the times.

This Hotel is old and not very up to the mark. Avoid if you can. Beds are small. Breakfast spread is not very lavish. The manager literally asked me to pay for a print-out. WHICH HOTEL DOES THAT? That was also a health declaration. Not at all happy

I had checked in late night on 17/01/2021 and checked out the following day. The room was not at all as per 5 star rating. Following are the hindrances I faced at my one day stay (pictures have been attached) 1. The washroom door was broken 2. The side lamps had dust accumulated 3. The mugs were dirty (literally had to check the kettle, or glasses of they were clean) 4. Cupboards very dusty. Thank god. I didn't have any allergic reaction to the dust. I request the hotel to fix the issues for other guests as I was one of the guests who faced such issue.

Stayed at The Ashok for one night just to take flight next morning. Being a Sunday not much of rush though its peak season. May be very few rooms booked considering pandemic. Check in was smooth ,everyone guard, bell boy, porter all served with smyle. Room is same as used to be. They serve nice food platter. Morning breakfast also good speckally with helping staff. Overall good satisfying stay.
