The Claridges New Delhi is often lauded for its spotless conditions and prime location, making it a hit with visitors keen on sightseeing in a secure area. The hotel's service garners accolades for its exceptionally attentive staff, while the ambiance is regarded as inviting and sophisticated.
However, guests have called out inconsistencies in room quality and noise disturbances. Despite the luxurious amenities and the praise for the hotel's diverse dining options and gym, some reviewers perceive the pricing, particularly for food and drinks, as steep.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in February and were very impressed by the staff and the standard of the rooms! From the moment you arrive your cases are taken off you and taken to your room. The rooms are clean and the restaurants in the hotel are of a very high standard. The grounds and pool area were immaculate. Tuk tuks are outside the hotel if required together with taxis if needed. Security at the hotel was very visible and you felt very safe.
We would highly recommend this hotel.

My girlfriend and I only stayed at The Claridges for one night but we hired a car from the hotel for the remainder of our 5 night stay in India to Agra, Jaipur and then back to Delhi again.
Our airport pickup driver was initially very helpful and friendly, though I can’t remember his name, but he spoke with concierge Ambesh who came and talked to us about our options for the rest of our stay in the country. We toyed with the idea of getting a train to Agra and winging it from there but the ease of hiring one driver and taking the stress and hassle out of travelling won, and we absolutely made the right decision.
Our driver Surendar was excellent, a very nice man who is knowledgable and easy to communicate with. It seems a theme of this hotels staff - and to be fair, most of the country, that nothing is too much trouble! The car, a Toyota Camry was very comfortable, reclining leather seats, plenty of legroom, an armrest in the middle with cup holders and electric controls for temperature and music. The car was always stocked up with water each time we got in too!
The price of 40,000 rupees (about £450) for the four days also included a private tour guide in both Agra and Jaipur and all road tolls (of which there were a lot) and parking costs. Essentially we didn’t have to worry about spending money on anything else but food for the rest of the trip. Surendar even bought us each a lassi from a place he said was famous in Jaipur! A very nice gesture that he didn’t have to do at all.
In Agra we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Hasnain who was an excellent story teller. He told us the amazing stories of Shah Jahan and the Mughal empire and painted very vidid pictures for us of those fascinating times. Too many times I’ve been taken on a tour with someone who I either can’t understand or doesn’t have the knack for keeping attention but Hasnain is a natural. The fact that I remember most of what he told me speaks for itself!
The hotel itself upgraded our room for the one night we stayed. The room was a huge suite with a very large comfortable bed. The bathroom was also massive and the shower was one of the biggest rain showers I’ve seen - I think I’m going to have to increase the size of mine at home! There was also Netflix on the very large TV - something I think every hotel needs!
The Indian restaurant on site is beautifully decorated and the food was delicious. It was a little pricey though compared to everywhere else we ate on the trip but if you want to splash out a bit then it’s worth it.
I also used the gym while I was there and while being quite small, it is well equipped.
Overall I will 100% be recommending this hotel and it’s your package to friends and family who I know are very keen on a similar trip. Thanks for helping to make our trip amazing!

We stayed at The Claridges Hotel for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
I am in a wheelchair and the accessible room (room# 11) was small but very well set out and good to use. The wi-fi was good and we could not fault the service.
We enjoyed dining at Dhaba during our visit.
We found it to be quite noisy from the hallway in our room as well as we could hear conversations coming from outside our room until late at night.
We enjoyed breakfast - very tasty!

The buildings are very grand and the decoration luxurious. The hotel is well maintained and clean and has a great swimming pool, gym etc. although there are not enough loungers or chairs.
Unfortunately the hotel is let down by average service levels. Our check in was disappointing, we were given a very limited introduction about the facilities in the hotel and the clerk failed to set up a credit line that would allow us to charge food etc to our room. We discovered this when we were woken on the first night as the restaurant needed to be paid for dinner!!
We were in standard room (122) which was along way from reception. The room was a good size but was quite dark and had far too many automatic electronic features. This included electronic drapes and lights in the bathroom. The bed was large, soft but comfortable and there are English plugs.
The breakfast room is too cramped and the selection limited. The coffee and tea is not individual but poured from a large pot. The eggs benedict was very good.
When we complained about the poor quality of our check in the duty manager was very courteous, took our complaint seriously and dealt with it.
I would not stay here again because of the level the service and customer care.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel while visiting Delhi. The people are extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant servers including Amvita Rajesh and Akhil along with our server Narendra were phenomenal!! They seek to please. The offerings are very variable so you can have comfort food and try the Indian cuisine. We enjoyed the small fitness room and even enjoyed walking down the streets nearby. They furnish bottled water without cost. On the restaurant manager checks to make sure all is well!! I highly recommend this hotel and location

The hotel, the staff is very good.
The garden is great..rooms are old. Furniture is old.
The only issues is my room was towards the backside of hotel. At the exit, when the vehicle blockers go down, it has a noise.. noise of air. They gave us a balcony room but it was a connected room so we can hear people on other side.
rooms are noisy, service is good.
Also, No bidet in the toilet.. it is strange that in delhi you do not have a bidet(jet spray) in room toilet.
Overall it is very good.
Staff is late on complementary things... My friend ordered a cake for us, the hotel assured him the same in one hour. Later on, my friend told me it took 8 calls and 7 hours for hotel to deliver a cake.. they even denied payment in lieu of quick service.. overall it is good but not a 4-5 star. I will call it a 3.5 star hotel.

Stopped here for three nights at start of our Inida trip. Elegant décor with nice feel. Staff were friendly and helpful e.g. when we said we didn't like the room allocated they quickly upgraded us to a lovely suite. Reception staff were very helpful, recommending places to visit and making restaurant bookings. Excellent meal in Sevilla despite the fact it rained and we could not eat outside as planned. The chinese restaurant was also good with friendly staff. However, Pickwicks for breakfast, while adequate was overcrowded and the service variable. Tables were not always wiped down and there were not enough staff on although those that were there tried very hard to please. The restauant capacity is inadequate for the size of hotel (recognized on the third morning when the Indian restaurant was opened for breakfast). The location of the pool is good but it needed more heat - this was a problem in all the hotels we visited and to be fair this one did have some heat just not enough.

We had a very comfortable stay at this lovely, friendly hotel. It feels a little dated compared to very modern hotels but it was very grand inside with spacious rooms and attention to detail. Generous provisions in the bathroom, including spare toothbrushes, shaving kits and combs as well as good toiletries.
Outside was a pretty outdoor pool area and a pot of tea comes with delicious home made biscuits.
We felt very safe as security was tight to enter the hotel. We were looked after extremely well, even having a packed breakfast provided as we had an early start on our departure day.

We had a nice stay at this hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is great, in a nice clean area of Delhi close to the embassies. The pool area was also very nice. The only downside was that the room was a lot smaller and shabbier than I expected and looked like it needed some updating & thorough cleaning as it seemed a little bit dusty in places. We enjoyed the oriental restaurant, the food was lovely! But the Sevilla restaurant for us was a let down - we went on Valentine’s Day so it was a set menu and we didn’t really enjoy any of the food we had.. which was very expensive.. also one of the staff members came up to my partner during our meal to ask him to pay the bill which kind of ruined the romantic atmosphere.. we thought this was quite unprofessional and did say something at the time but it was kind of just brushed under the carpet. Overall I would stay here again but would just expect a couple of improvements.

+1
This hotel has a spacious lobby, 4 restaurants, cafe and shops, with two magnificent staircases around the lobby. A small elevator at the right right and larger at left. All corridors are in marble, which looks beautiful but they´re noisier than carpets.
Our room had a firm King Size bed, a small closet, and it was short of drawers. Spacious bathroom with tub; the water warms fast, but very slippery bathtub. The room also includes a mini bar with few refreshments and half bottles of wine, tea pot and safe box. It had bathrobes and slippers, but was short on towels and soap. They place lots of bottles of water: we got 3 or 4 every day.
The first morning, the hall outside our room was very noisy before 8:00, when cleaning staff started working; I supposed they didn’t known our room had been occupied at 3:00 am. I had to opened the door in my pajamas to understand where the fuzz came from.
There’s no place to walk around the premises, but there’s a nearby park. Later we learned Ghandi Museum is next door.
