We stayed here for a day but have memories lasting for a lifetime. We had informed in advance about our early check in (5.30 am) and it was without any issues. The room (Konark) was spacious with a king size bed and two single beds. The beds were very comfortable. It is located close to the Karol Bagh market. Now coming to the part which we will cherish forever. Mr. Dinesh who manages the cooking was very helpful. We had to leave early (6.30 am) for the airport (for the flight back home) on the second day and were disappointed with the prospect of missing breakfast (as we were not sure whether the food outlets at the airport would be open and offer a variety). But God bless Mr.Dinesh who got up early to offer us tea and milk for the kids around 6 am and packed us sandwiches along with Frooti. Thanks to him we had a satisfying breakfast at the airport. May his tribe increase. Here I would also like to appreciate Mr. Sanjay for the efficient management.
To sum up, the stay was a satisfying experience. Looking forward to visit again.

This is in an ideal location for restaurants and exploring New Delhi. The Homestay is very quirky and delightful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing Hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we would recommend this to anyone, and would definitely stay here again if we are in New Delhi.

We had high expectations before staying at this hotel due to the great reviews, however were a little disappointed as we didn’t feel the “homely” vibe that many others have talked about. The hotel was almost empty when we visited and felt a little stale. We also didn’t sleep very well, not due to the outside traffic noises which are to be expected in Delhi, but due to the staff speaking very loudly outside our door and what sounded like furniture being dragged around at inappropriate hours. There were a number of positives though: the room was comfortable enough, and the staff were helpful at times, particularly in explaining to us how to use the metro.

I spent hours looking for a place like this in Delhi. I did not want to stay in a backpackers hotel w/ a squat toilet, nor did I want to stay in a large cookie cutter hotel and we could not afford to stay in a place like the Imperial. Places like this are few and far between in Delhi. The rooms were clean and full of character. The food was delicious and the man who served our breakfast was very sweet and gentle. We enjoyed the small library off the lobby which had a computer for guests to use as well as books about India. The artwork around the hotel is wonderful as well. We paid about $50 for our room, which included breakfast and a pick up from the airport. This place is an excellent way to ease into India. The only downside is that it is a little bit off the beaten path. However, I did not feel entirely comfortable walking around Delhi. The beggars and the crowds can be overwhelming at first so we normally travelled by car or rickshaw anyway. Since many of the sites in Delhi are spread out so we did not feel like it was a problem that we were not staying in Connaught. The other thing is that the management took our airline tickets insisting that they needed to reconfirm our flights (maybe they were correct about this? I'm a travel agent and had issued the tickets mysef so I was a little bit uncomforable w/ this.) They were also a bit pushy about us using their services to tour Delhi (but hey, this is normal for India!) We wanted to do these things on our own and had already done reasearch and hooked up w/ a driver to take us where we wanted to go. Overall, I highly recommend Bajaj.

My christmas vacation in India was fabulous ! Sightseeing 5 huge cities , shopping and rickshaw-riding....was all fun but tiring . What made our tour and new year so relaxable and enjoyable, was our stay in the so homely-friendly atmosphere of the Bajaj Indian Homestay in New Delhi. The staff is so kind on you and very responsive. The rooms and bathrooms were well maintained and absolutely clean. The breakfast was delicious but moreover , being served with so much love and warmth , it proved to give us such a good start for the day ! The ambience was beautiful, ethnic and gave us the true Indian feeling .The location is extremely safe and free of any noise pollution, the Karol-Bagh market place being closeby !! Towards the end of the tiring city tour, sitting back and sipping some refreshing fruit juices at 'Ananda', the roof top fruit juice bar of the homestay was so heavenly...!! This place , I admit is so warm that you actually feel like being at home ... a great start of the year for us !!! Thank you B.I.H.S!!

This was such a lovely little place for our first entry into the wild and rocky ride of Delhi.
They picked us up from the airport with no charge and no hassle. Our room was very clean and all around the homestay has been decorated with beautiful antiques and artwork. Service is great and the food delcious - my favourite lassi's in all of Delhi!
They arranged everything for us, a driver for the day, laundry serviced and always had good recommendations in where to shop.
This place is a true gem and worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed at the Bajaj Home Stay for three days and nights in May 2006.

After we had booked a room there on the internet their confirmation replies were quick and professional. They gave us detailed information about who was going to pick us up at the airport including mobile phone numbers. Their complimentary airport-pick up (at 2 am in the morning ) was absolutely reliable – the AC car they sent was first class.

The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful when we checked in They insisted on taking our passports and flight-tickets to fill in the information they need due to Indian security regulations – we got everything back within half an hour. Our room was impeccably clean and very tastefully furnished ( like everything in this hotel) – the attached bathroom was absolutely perfect, too – with hot and cold water working, hair-dryer and even white bathrobes at your disposal. The only problem we had was that our room was adjacent to the dining-room and so we were sometimes disturbed by the noise from there. I think would prefer to book a room on the roof the next time. From the roof ( where they also have a small bar and deck-chairs) you have a nice view over Karol Bagh.

The breakfast buffet included juice, fresh fruit, toast, jam, honey, omelettes, several Indian breakfast dishes – much more than we could possibly eat. We had dinner there too at a very reasonable price and liked the food and ambience better than at the Alpha Spice – a famous family restaurant near by. We found the Alpha Spice too very crowded and too loud due to Indian live-music.

The location of the Bajaj is great, too – it’s in a quiet street but there is a really big market road near by (five-minute walk) which we found to be much more interesting than Connaught Circus. To go to Connaught Circus (the city-centre) by car took us only about 15 minutes.

Having travelled in India for many times, I would personally rate the whole ambience and service at this hotel as three to four-star at a very reasonable price. It’s exactly the kind of hotel I enjoy staying at, because it’s nice and small and very personal and the staff are friendly and really make you feel at home.

We were booked in for 4 nights and ended up staying 7 after our ongoing flight was cancelled due to the volcanic eruption. I can't praise the staff at the Bajaj enough. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped beyond expectation in trying to get us a flight out of New Delhi. No problem was too big, from producing meals, giving us unlimited internet access to providing a driver at short notice, the management and staff were excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting New Delhi. The Karol Bagh area where the hotel is situated is only a short walk to the metro and has some local markets which are very good. Nothing but praise. Rooms are large, have a good ensuite and were clean and got cleaned promptly each day.
