We stayed here for a day but have memories lasting for a lifetime. We had informed in advance about our early check in (5.30 am) and it was without any issues. The room (Konark) was spacious with a king size bed and two single beds. The beds were very comfortable. It is located close to the Karol Bagh market. Now coming to the part which we will cherish forever. Mr. Dinesh who manages the cooking was very helpful. We had to leave early (6.30 am) for the airport (for the flight back home) on the second day and were disappointed with the prospect of missing breakfast (as we were not sure whether the food outlets at the airport would be open and offer a variety). But God bless Mr.Dinesh who got up early to offer us tea and milk for the kids around 6 am and packed us sandwiches along with Frooti. Thanks to him we had a satisfying breakfast at the airport. May his tribe increase. Here I would also like to appreciate Mr. Sanjay for the efficient management. To sum up, the stay was a satisfying experience. Looking forward to visit again. …
This is in an ideal location for restaurants and exploring New Delhi. The Homestay is very quirky and delightful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing Hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we would recommend this to anyone, and would definitely stay here again if we are in New Delhi.
We had high expectations before staying at this hotel due to the great reviews, however were a little disappointed as we didn’t feel the “homely” vibe that many others have talked about. The hotel was almost empty when we visited and felt a little stale. We also didn’t sleep very well, not due to the outside traffic noises which are to be expected in Delhi, but due to the staff speaking very loudly outside our door and what sounded like furniture being dragged around at inappropriate hours. There were a number of positives though: the room was comfortable enough, and the staff were helpful at times, particularly in explaining to us how to use the metro.
It was an awesome experience to stay with family at their venue. Never did we feel as staying in a Hotel or resort, where always we feel external. It was a totally homely experience. The ambiance was ultimate. We being JAINS were provided food which would not have been possible elsewhere. Muttubhai...was the person who made homely jain food for us and my children extremely happy. Would be more than happy to visit the place again and again during my visits to Delhi.
Such a wonderful team at the Bajaj. There is literally nothing they won’t do for you. Mrs Bajaj, Sanjay, Pradip and Vishu and the team are all helpful and kind and welcomed me like I was in their home. The rooms are all individual and have some nice touches. There’s a roof terrace and a restaurant which is ran by Mittu (21 year veteran!). My bags were lost by the airline and Sanjay was so helpful in getting them back for me. And when I couldn’t find the gym Vishu stopped what he was doing and walked to the gym with me! These are just 2 examples of their wonderful customer service The location is good, just 10 minutes walk from the metro which you can use to easily and quickly get around. It’s only a few stops to the main attractions. The internet is quite slow and there was a heater in my room (Ramu) which I had to activate before my shower but these things are splitting hairs. It’s really great for the money and highly recommended. …
For us three girls it really felt like home! The cook is great and eating from his hands is a must! The rooms are clean and tidy and the beds are lovely. Service is great and personal. The location is very central and the location is very central and everything was easy to reach. We definitely recommend the homestay and will stay here again next time we are in Delhi. We talked to the owner and she is very nice and involved with her guests. You will not get better service!
The staff at the Bajaj Indian Homestay can’t be faulted. They are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are simple and comfortable. It’s definitely more personal than a hotel stay which is good. It was cold when we were there, and the staff happily provided us with a heater and extra blankets/duvet so we were very warm! The en-suite bathroom while spacious, did need a bit of TLC. The shower curtain was quite mouldy at the bottom and the towels while clean were grey from age and not white as they once may have been. Our room had a shower in a bathtub which was Ok for me, but my dad with back/hip issues struggled with. There is no elevator in the building, and the stairs (while beautiful) are a little steep. Most should manage them easily though. There is free wifi here for the guests, and on the whole it worked well. Updating my blog with images was slow going but hey! First world problem right there. Definitely had the best masala chai here! The cooks are very good. Breakfast was a small selection of delicious food, and lunch or dinner gives a good selection from an “a la cart” menu that is cooked fresh. …
This is a really excellent, reasonably priced, straight forward place to stay in Delhi. Many of the reviews echo how we feel - such friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, tasty and plentiful breakfasts and other delicious meals which can be cooked as requested. A cold beer on the roof is pleasant way to end a busy day of sightseeing in Delhi! The location is very good and once you've mastered the nearby Karol Bagh metro, getting around is straight forward. The proprietor Rani and staff make staying here a pleasure and we cant recommend this place more highly.
We stayed at Bajaj during our five-week trip to India and were delighted and grateful for their attentive service and delicious breakfasts. Bajaj is well located in the Karol Bagh market district of Delhi, which made for a rich and rewarding shopping experience. Bajaj worked with us to arrange transportation, assisted us with travel connections, and served as our lodging hub during the multiple times we returned to Delhi to connect with trains and planes to other parts of India. They stored our luggage for us while we traveled, and welcomed us warmly with clean, comfortable rooms and tasty meals. The chief chef makes a Chai to die for! Excellent service, a very helpful staff, and a high standard excellence. Highly recommended!
