As per this post, do I understand that kids are not welcomed in the hotel? I have 2 years and 8 years kids during our trip.
No absolutely incorrect. As a matter of fact my two grandchildren about same age four years ago stayed in ITC Maratha for a month plus. My son with family was transferred to Delhi from USA. Barring a restaurant , everyone staff of the hotel welcomes children Go ahead and stay there with children for an amazing experience.

I've read a lot of terrible reviews of this hotel, is there a better hotel in town to stay than this dishonest and horrid place?
I've been ripped off by them. I would recommend the Westin in Gurgaon or Le Meridien or the Sheraton. The Taj in the diplomatic enclave might be better. I would definitely avoid this place.

What is the difference between the tower rooms and regular rooms? Are the rooms on the smaller side as it’s an older building? TIA
Both are good. Tower has a lounge on the ground floor and Club Prive on 8th with a private meeting room on 9th.
