Visiting New Delhi for the first time for work, I am glad my office put me in The Imperial Hotel! Check in process was so smooth, Nisika escort me to the room, and I signed the form in the room, she sent me pineapply juice as welcome drink. The room is spacious, hygiene is on point, amenities from comb to good quality shampoo and conditioner, even cuttonbud! What I love the most, they are generous of water bottle in the room, so i never run out of water to drink!
Pool of a hotel is a significant aspect and Hotel Imperial has an impressive pool. It is huge, water is not cold not warm, average temperature. I was welcomed by Mahender, he set up towel on the bench and after swimming I found a box with lemon water, very sweet surprise! Thank you Mahender and the surprise makes me happy!
I went to airport using their airport drop off service, our driver was Surender. Traffic is so bad reaching to the airport terminal 3, we did not move! But Surender decided to go to terminal 1 as an alternative, he drove to terminal 3 via terminal 1, through inner lane passing the aerocity. Very clever! We arrived in one hour! If we stayed in the same direction, we might be late for the flight. Thank you Surender for taking us on time to the airport.
If i will be back to New Delhi, Hotel Imperial will always be my first choice! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

After a long plane trip early check in was made available to a very quiet and luxurious room. Staff are wonderful even the security guy escorted us to the ATM ! Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is what you would expect from such a wonderful hotel. My only complaint was that the packed breakfast for our onward train journey was very dry and the red jam for the croissant was tomato ketchup! ,

The Imperial is supposedly the first modern hotel built in Delhi 1930s, during the British rule in India (British Raj). It has decor that pays tribute to Lutyens Delhi—mini fountains a la those in Vijay Chowk in Delhi. The Imperial reeks old world elegance and charm. It has the air of a dowager empress as opposed to the other modern luxury hotels which scream “new money”. Every piece of decor is carefully selected —furniture, light fixtures, wall hangings, paintings, busts, sketches. Every item whispers old money elegance. I think the Imperial is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in so far. Construction, rooms, suites and service. The service & hospitality is incredible. As we alighted from the taxi, the greeting by the tall burly, splendidly mustachioed doormen (Hukam Singh was one of several along with security guards Murari Singh & Kajal). As we entered the lobby, Chetna welcomed us with a greeting that was warm & welcoming. She & a colleague made check in so smooth & unobtrusive that we never even realized that we had checked in. And then accompanied us to the room. In their restaurant the food was excellent. A live omelet & dosa station & their omelet chef Joseph whipping up amazing concoctions with eggs. Their restaurant manager Neeraj and his director of food & beverages went above & beyond expectations. Neeraj gave personal attention to all ! Their servers Aman, Harsh, Ram, Arjun, Nitin stood out. Aman was another who went above & beyond. One tiny suggestion: they have an amazing collection of sketches which depict life in India as well as those of maharajas & the British. However the majority of them have no captions or titles leaving you to guess who they might be or what are they showing. Give them some descriptive captions! I have no hesitation in saying again that Imperial is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and I would recommend it unhesitatingly.

The Imperial Hotel is a true oasis in New Delhi. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the warmest, most genuine hospitality that stays with you until the moment you leave. Every detail is impeccable, from the elegant marble floors to the curated art lining the walls, reflecting the pride and care of the staff. The serene pool offers a refreshing break from the city’s vibrant energy, and the spa makes you feel like the only person in the world. Our room was beautifully appointed, spacious, and perfect in every way. Dining at The Spice Route and 1911 was an absolute delight, with each meal more memorable than the last. But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. Every smile, every “namaste,” and every act of kindness made this experience unforgettable. It’s the people who make this stunning hotel truly extraordinary.

Hotel staff is so very courteous and kind. Housekeeping staff such as Mohit and Chandra kept my room supplied with water , amenities, treats and towels. Each staff person I met were very personal and helpful, no matter my questions. They created my special lemon ginger hot drink every evening delivered in a silver teapot. My clothes returned from the laundry neatly wrapped and adorned with flowers. I can’t express how very comfortable I was at this hotel: yoga classes, weight room and swimming pool were spotlessly clean and the teachers of classes very professional. Thank you for a very unique experience: I shall return.

My stay at The Imperial, New Delhi from 3rd to 5th December 2024 was an exquisite experience of luxury and hospitality. From the moment I stepped into the grand colonial-style property, I was struck by its timeless elegance and warm service. My room was a haven of comfort, featuring a plush bed, tasteful decor, and a spacious marble bathroom with top-notch amenities. Dining at 1911 Restaurant was a highlight, offering a delightful spread of Indian and international cuisine; the breakfast, with its freshly made dosas and variety of accompaniments, was particularly memorable. The serene gardens provided a perfect escape from the city’s bustle, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to explore landmarks like Connaught Place and India Gate. Every aspect of my stay was thoughtfully designed to provide an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend The Imperial to anyone visiting New Delhi.

We had a very lovely stay here and were made to feel welcome from the start. Our room, a heritge suite, had everything we needed and was very spacious and the en suite had both a bath and shower The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The service was excellent - being gluten-free I was well looked after at breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for the waiting staff. We ate at the Spice Route restaurant our first evening, which was beautifully decorated but we didn't enjoy the food that much. Lovely pool and spa facilities. Wonderul selection of heritage photographs, paintings and aretfacts throughout the hotel which are worth spending time looking at.

Objectively one of the most beautiful hotels in terms of design that I have stayed in in 15 years of traveling around the world. Stunning design, both of the building itself and the interiors (there are very beautiful paintings on the walls inside), and the rooms. Comfortable beds, excellent pillows, spacious rooms, clean and tidy everywhere. Well-groomed area, there is a swimming pool and spa. The pool is not very large, but cozy and beautiful, there is a jacuzzi with hot water. When you relax by the pool, the staff brings towels and bottles of water.
Customer-oriented staff who really try to make your stay comfortable! For example, when we needed to change a SIM card and there was no tool to remove it from the phone, they searched for 10 minutes in various departments until they found it.
Very decent breakfast. There are many options, both authentic Indian food (most of the tourists at the hotel were Indians, and apparently they found this food authentic and tasty!), and standard, familiar to Europeans. Good pastries, good selection of freshly squeezed juices and fruits, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc. In general, such a good varied breakfast for a 5* hotel.
There are no significant shortcomings. You just need to understand that this is one of the most expensive hotels in Delhi. The hotel is objectively expensive, and not so much the accommodation itself, but the accompanying services - food, coffee, souvenirs, SPA...
Based on all the parameters, I can definitely recommend the hotel for staying in Delhi!

We booked Imperial hotel Delhi for one of our wedding. It was a 140 room wedding for 2 days. Rooms are meticulously planned & maintained.
Few very important points to mention here which makes this place super special. 1.It was out an out a Typical Marwari wedding with ceremonies & rituals spread over 2 days. 2. Kudos to chef Sanjay Mishra for Specially curating Pure Jain food no onion, garlic, potatoes & no root vegetables als for all meals. 3. There was not a single person in entire Imperial team who was not gentle or calm. Special mention here for Mr Shobhit Pathak. He was instrumental in making sure of making this wedding a super success without any glitch. They have beautiful Imperial Lawns for hosting big outdoor events and Banquet hall for indoor events. Their restaurants 1911 and Daniel's Tavern are apt for breakfast, lunches & dinners. Spice root is their theme based restaurant to specially look for hand painted walls. Some points to remember while booking this place. 1. It's in a very sensitive Lutyens zone, so outdoor activities are allowed till sharp 10 pm. 2.No fireworks and drone camera is allowed. 3. No loud dhol or band is allowed inside the premises.( Make sense) 4. They have total inventory of 230 rooms from which some rooms are alloted to Some company. 5 . Chk in time is 2 pm and chk out is 12 pm.

I don't remember seeing any Cigar offer since I am a non smoker but this property has ample amount of open space that is offered to the smokers, so if space is concern you don't need to worry about that, you can have your own cigar that you can enjoy at the 1911 open restaurant.
Dear Guest,
While we have a heated pool and a Jacuzzi, we do not specifically have a hot tub. I hope that you utilise our spa facilities during your stay.
