The property has its own vintage advantages and disadvantages. Vintage in terms of its location, building and a huge collection of vintage paintings and pics. But the aura of all this gets shattered when the same is not being matched by consistent services. The hotel badly lacks all these. What is the use of having so many rare paintings if the hotel can not even provide a basic like iron/iron-board in the room and you have to call and wait for that. What’s the use of having royal paintings when you don’t have sufficient man-power to serve your clients in a royal way. The management has a false sense of arrogance for the building and the vintage paintings and try to justify giving bad services with examples of VIP guest staying over there.
I stayed in the Imperial Delhi for 5 nights as I missed an international flight and had to wait for another, while I worked from the hotel. Understandably the hotel staff had reduced during this challenging times. However I had a really wonderful stay. The hotel staff like Gagandeep and Albert were really warm, friendly and helpful. The room obviously was very comfortable. Although only 1911 restaurant was operating, I had pretty nice meals there everyday. In addition to the ala carte breakfast buffet, my favorite would be the Ratatouille and Herb Rice, and next would be the Signature Chicken Imperial. Overall it was a great stay which was really helpful to relieve some of my stress from my missed flight.
I stayed at the Imperial with my mom for 5 nights and 6 days. We decided to get all our meals included during the stay and we were so glad we did that because the food was beyond incredible! I suffer from gluten allergy and they accomodated my every need, even suggesting gluten friendly options and modifying their menu items. The whole team, from the driveway to the room service, made us feel so special. The rooms are gorgeous, elegant and so luxurious! The hotel in general is one of the most beautiful hotels in India, and it’s historic past just adds to its majesty. I have found my new home in Delhi! Would definitely recommend 10/10!! And if you’re visiting during Covid, you needn’t worry since they took all possible precautions and kept us at ease. :)
We stayed in this hotel amid the pandemic outside. So obviously we were worried about the hygiene and safety. But I must compliment the staff at The Imperial (Bhuvneeh Kaul, Albert, Gagandeep Kaur and the entire team) for ensuring a safe and comfortable stay. Special thanks to their chef for homely cooked dishes in a 'Home Away From Home'. Housekeeping by Ved Prakash was of a high standard and ensured safety of my family without unnecessary exposure. These may be small things in normal times. But difficult times demand more efforts and Team Imperial was surely up to it. The hotel has a royal and elegant decor and is more like a palace than a hotel. Lobbies are beautiful and lawns are very well maintained. While there were many options to choose from in the city, I am glad I chose The Imperial 'Palace'.…
I stayed 4 nights at the Imperial Hotel in India on the recommendation of a work colleague. Historically I have stayed at the Taj chain of hotels but the Imperial was significantly better. The hotel is stuffed full of historical artifacts that celebrate and document the rich history of this country. The rooms, staff, facilities were top notch and is one of the better hotels I have every visited.
