We stayed in this hotel on an off season-discounted-rate, and will certainly go back as long as they give me rooms on the same price. The room was awesome, except for the smell—God only knows what was wrong with the smell. But we were glad that one of the staff immediately ran up and sprayed something which helped a bit. Bed of course was super comfy and the en suite bathroom was clean and spotless. The room had a large TV mounded on the wall with satellite connection, but didn’t really spend time watching. It had no view, but we were not expecting any kinds of view — it was scotching hot outside.
The restaurants were again fabulous, but I am sure they can do far better: again I have no complains. I finished what I was served. The whole staff were efficient and always running around with a smile, but the manager. Aren’t managers supposed to smile and greet too — that’s what I thought — just kidding.
The location is great, kind of quiet, considering you’re in Delhi. You have to walk around 300 metres before you can get an auto-rickshaw. There are no shops or restaurants around, but if you travel 3 km and more, you’ll come across shopping, eating, drinking and clubbing areas.
*** And to tell you about that excruciating smell in the room, there are some guys in the adjoining room and they were smoking inside the room. *** All rooms are non-smoking areas. *** Every day scores of travellers check-in, thus you are in safe hands.*** It offers free WiFi, but like any other hotels in the world, WiFi isn't the best facility. But one night we had to go down to the lobby to use the internet--make sure you carry anti mosquito spray with you.

I was visiting Delhi for a couple of days on work. As usual, finding a good place to stay in Delhi is a nightmare. Hotels are exorbitantly priced ! This was recommended by a colleague and thought I would try once.
Its on a very quiet street and seems very quiet. At first a little alarming (Am I the only one staying here!). However, the room I was given was really quite spacious and the bathrooms spacious and well done up. Form a business traveller point of view, when you are there on work, you just need a decent place to spend the night. I didnt have very high expectations. Didn't even go to their restaurant and so can't comment on it. The breakfast buffet is quite meagre actually. Could do with improvement.
Again, this was my experience. I don't really know about the other rooms and also must repeat here that it was quite empty with not much occupancy !!!

They do not care about the needs of their guests. If your booking includes dinner or other services, they refuse to serve it in your room. Even providing basic necessities like normal drinking water to the room requires an argument. The experience was truly disappointing. The staff are arrogant and indifferent to guest concerns. This was the worst experience of my life, and I strongly advise against booking this hotel.

We organized a three-day conference at Hotel Africa Avenue, and I stayed here for about eight days. I found the hotel to be amazing—very comfortable with an extremely supportive staff, especially Satyendra Ji, who is very kind and helpful. Ajay was very prompt and is one of the best service staff members I’ve encountered in the hospitality industry. Virendar, Kousal, Deb from services, as well as the entire front desk and housekeeping teams, were all excellent. Thank you so much, team!

Room not clean sheets stained bathroom mold.
The worst breakfast 20 minutes to find a bag of soluble coffee.
Staff completely overwhelmed for a group of 25 people.
Forced to help themselves in bread packages..
Not even a toaster.
Last dinner before returning to France.
Everyone sick on the plane.
Too bad because the rest of the trip was really great

We were there my family and myself in May 2013.
Bottom line ? Good Hotel with excellent rooms.
Of course not a palace but a really good choice according to its price.
The rooms are way better than expected: spacious, well equipped, good AC, LCD TV, bathrooms really comfortable and again well equipped ...
Fact is I hesitated between giving this hotel 4 or 5 stars
Reason I considered giving 4 stars is the restaurant which is below acceptable but hey, we went to this hotel for its rooms and not for its restaurant, so forget the restaurant and concentrate on the principal: the quality of sleep which was well above average.
The street is quite dark at night yet very safe since the quarter is residential (rich) and every house in the neighborhood has its own guard, assuring that all is safe there and walking at night is not worrisome.
Also 5 minutes walk from the hotel you have tens of shops allowing you to enjoy shopping at good prices.
It is not a Bazaar: the shops are clean and ordered yet they are not at Mall/Emporium level therefore the prices were good and such was the quality.
The shopkeepers were professional, no bargaining there and I like it this way (not time for that)
to get there: out of the the hotel, left on the street, 300 meters 1st right and 200 meters on the left you'll see the first shops.
I read some complaints regarding the quality of service but I can't concur since everything was fine and when we needed another sheet at 11PM, we were immediately answered at the reception and got our sheet soon after ... so in my case ... all good
One point to improve although: the WiFi was available and free (!) yet the router seemed to be located in a guest room at each floor. In our case it was located in my daughter's room and it was turned off so ... No WiFi in the rooms.
She had to turn it on back to enable it .. I think this facility should not be manipulated by guest but by the staff...
Altogether we were satisfied, not thrilled, but not disappointed at all and therefore we do recommend it.

I went for a 2 days trip to Delhi, and I booked this Hotel online through Goibibo at 50% off and I thought it's a great deal. On the top of it, the TripAdvisor rating of 3.5 seemed fair.
Now when I checked-in to the hotel, few things I observed:
1. Staff, especially reception, were not trained on how to handle guests. Seems like they were from call-center or similar background.
2. This restaurant is not a popular one in the GK-1 area and people in the nearby M-Block market are usually not aware of this one.
3. Food was good. I had veg-noodles, sandwiches, paneer gravy dish in those 2 days.
4. The complimentary breakfast was not good at all. Actually their breakfast menu is dependent on the occupancy on that given day. On day one, there were only 7-8 guests so their breakfast menu only had toast-butter, ommlette, cornflakes, (not so fresh) fruits, tea, coffee. However menu was much better the next day when the occupancy increased to 90%.
5. Toiletry kit which they provide you is insufficient and is similar (if not worse) to what is generally given by a hotel in the range of 1000-1500. Just a shampoo and a soap, moisturizer with towels. If some one is paying ~4K/day then it is completely okay to expect proper toiletry kit; which they couldn't provide me even on request (since I forgot to carry my comb).
6. In hot summers, you will get only two types of water: Hot & Very Hot. This is a major issue as you'll realize this when you are halfway in shower. I won't be surprised if they are having water tank made of steel or something.
7. Basic things like replenishment of tea/coffee kit, toilet supplies was something which should be taken care of automatically.
8. Nearest metro station is 2-3 km far.
I realized that their management is not at all concerned about the customer satisfaction, and only care about growing their money.
Since majority of their guests are either corporate or foreigners so they might not be much aware/concerned by money vs. value correlation.
IMHO, the appropriate worth of their AC Double room with breakfast should be somewhere 2400-2700/- incl. taxes. So it is overpriced.
