Our booking included lounge access, breakfast and transport to the airport. We were greeted with a blessing, lei and refreshing drink when we checked in. We were surprised by a double occupancy surcharge. When I made the reservation it was probably after drafting a few times so inadvertently marked the room as single instead of double. Most hotels don’t care so we were surprised by the additional charge. Once we got to our room they added more “supplies”. The lounge had food and drinks all the time with great service, the swimming pool was well attended, the Qube/breakfast was good with our favorites fresh squeezed juice, dosas and French toast. The housekeeping was notably on point. We accidentally left the do not disturb light so when we returned after a long morning of sightseeing we changed the light. We were fine with just new towels, but within minutes a team of two were on hand to completely clean our room. The bmw suv to the airport even had WiFi.

2nd visit to the Leela Palace for business. The experience has always been spectacular. Upon arrival at the Delhi Airport, Leela representatives were waiting for me at 1AM with my name on a placard. After a short drive from the airport to the hotel, I was greeted by the staff and completed my check-in. Security is evident throughout the hotel to help guests feel safe and secure during their stay. The room was more than oppulent, and I settled in quickly. The hotel staff were very prompt in keeping my room clean. Ranveer would continually ask if there was anything he could do to make the room more enjoyable. Once I explained that this was a business trip and that I would be back in a few months, he made sure to point out other hotel highlights. Where Ranveer went above and beyond is when I mentioned that I loved the Tishya fragrance, which is predominant around the hotel. As a result, Ranveer had a spray mist delivered to my room so that when I am home I can have reminders about my stay at the Leela Palace. Just when it could not get better, my room was cleaned while I was out and Sonam kept noticing that I left my eyeglasses on the desk. When I returned he left a note about my glasses and an eye glass pouch to secure my glasses in the future. It is this type of service that ensures I will continue to stay at the Leela Palace in the future. The restaurants were top notch. I have tried each restaurant and cannot provide any negative. My preference is The Qube buffet as breakfast and dinner have many options (Indian and International). Ayan and Himanshu were very attentive to every guest needs. It may appear as if the wait staff are constantly running around, but this is the result of them finding out what guests need and quickly taking care of the request.

No matter what time you arrive in Delhi, the reassuring presence of Leela’s security personnel at the airport is a sight for sore eyes. They facilitate a smooth transition from the busy terminal to the sanctuary of the Leela. Pravin met us at the airport this time, and it was Naresh, Ankit, and Govind on our last few visits.

All the chauffeurs have adhered to the highest standards of safety and etiquette, which speaks volumes about the meticulous training they have received. They navigate the bustling Delhi streets with poise, refraining from speed and shortcuts, unnecessary changing of lanes, overtaking or honking, thus instilling a sense of trust and assurance in us as well as providing a tranquil journey. This time, my drivers were Rattan and Pradeep.

The courteous welcome and attentive assistance by the security staff and the doormen – Gurcharan, Ajit, Jasdeep, and Manjinder are heartwarming. I feel I have come home with their ’jee ayan noon.’

Rashi at the Bakery helped me with my gift order.

One late evening, we were relaxing in the Lobby Lounge, and Chef Ashmeet Jolly, who must have received smoke signals that we were there, appeared out of thin air for a chat and insisted on taking us for a tour of the fabulous arrangements for a guest’s Dinner Party at the Banquet hall. And it indeed was lovely.

The Bell Desk gentlemen are the unsung heroes of The Leela. With impeccable efficiency, they collected all my packages, delivered at the hotel weeks before my arrival, and had them left in my room before I arrived. Their ability to seamlessly manage incoming and outgoing packages, ensuring their safekeeping and timely delivery, elevates my guest experience. Manmohan, Ajay Umesh, Devinder, Anup, Gaurav, Sunil, Bhuvan, Gaurav – You are all wonderful, and if I have forgotten someone, forgive me.

Housekeeping under Shab Singh is immaculate. With discreet efficiency, the staff maintains the highest hygiene and presentation standards. Each room is a sanctuary of pristine elegance, from crisp linens to polished fixtures and gleaming surfaces.

Aveesha, Shifa, and Diksha at the Club Lounge are always friendly and efficient dropping in for a chat. Chef Mehul does a good job. I liked the new Breakfast menu., especially the little tea leaf strainer for the teapots. The Parsi egg dish called ‘Akuri’ was delicious.

With great pleasure and admiration, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Preeti on her most well-deserved promotion as Hotel Manager - a testament to her exceptional dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence in hospitality. I have known her almost since the hotel opened, and her keen attention to detail and innate ability to anticipate and exceed our needs have impressed us. Preeti's promotion also triumphs in breaking barriers within a traditionally male-dominated industry and inspires young women professionals.

That was the most dissapoining stay at a New Delhi hotel for a decade. My room was booked and prepaid well in advance. I never asked for a smoking room on a smoking floor. On a very late hours arrival, about 2.00 a.m the duty managers for some reason and without asking me decided to put me into a really stinking room on a smoking 4th floor at their discretion.
It took them another 15 minutes to find me a diffenent room on a 3rd floor, #337 if i remember correctly. The only good thing about the room was that it did not smell like a dirty ashtray... But ...
In the bathroom wall mounted shower would not work at all, i.e. not a drop of water would come out of it. The flixible shower would leak in all directions from under the handle and eventually collapsed in two separate peices...
Toilet flash was hanging loose and definitely required technician"s attention prior to bringing a customer to the room..
The frame of the clock on the bathroom wall by the mirror was hanging loose...(((
In the bedroom electric lights operation system is organized in a tricky way and one needs to walk around the room if and when one wants to switch off all three nightstand and table lamps before going to bed.
There is a desk in the room but there are no free electric power sockets for any devices, be it PC or charger or other. One would need to switch off local telphone system or lights if a socket is required. In general electric lights switching is tricky and user-unfriendly, especially if and when needs to master it in the middle of the night after a long trip.
And a bit of icing "on the cake". In a brekfast room there seem to be too many superwisors and few waiters. The former approached me several times to ask about my impressions on the service though it took me at least three reminders to different waiers and about 10 minutes of waiting to get a cup of coffee. Moreover though some of these employees took a note of my omellete order i got something different at the end...
Moreover, I put these issues in writing and submitted to the hotel management on departure but never heard from them on any of the above...
My advise to Delhi visitors is to look somewhere else for a nice, friendly and really luxurios accomodation.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconveniences you experienced, which fell far short of the high standards we aim to provide. It is deeply concerning to learn about the series of issues you encountered, from being assigned a smoking room upon arrival to the various maintenance shortcomings in your room. These are not reflective of the level of care and attention we strive for, and I am truly sorry for the frustration and discomfort caused. I also acknowledge your frustration with not receiving a response to the feedback you left at checkout. This was a clear failure on our part, and I assure you we will improve how we handle guest concerns to ensure timely follow-ups. We take your feedback seriously and are already working to address these issues with the respective teams. Your input highlights key areas where we must do better, and for that, I am grateful. As a gesture of our regret and a commitment to making things right, I would like to invite you back for a complimentary night’s stay at your convenience. This would give us the opportunity to restore your faith in our hospitality and ensure a flawless experience. Please contact me directly at gm.tlpnd@theleela.com, so I can assist with the arrangements. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and I assure you that we are taking every step necessary to address these issues. I hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with the luxurious, comfortable, and seamless stay you rightfully expect. With warmest regards, Anupam Dasgupta, Area VP (North) & General Manager

It has to be the best hotel in Delhi - for me it is. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and even practical. Everything is clean and works. We traveled with a lot of luggage, which in other hotels caused a bit of trouble, but here it was so practical that there was miraculously room. The staff are friendly and helpful and create a pleasant hotel environment. Dolly offered help that we hadn't even thought to ask for and which was a huge help - she was attentive and followed up on things. The guards at the entrance were also extremely friendly, service minded and helpful, and Gurcharan arranged for a taxi with a really good driver when it otherwise looked difficult. The hotel's taxis are just a step up from the city's others - clean, comfortable and the drivers both speak English and know the city. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and there is almost everything - and the sous chef independently and on his own initiative provided extra service in the form of a packed lunch for the airport, and continuously checked that everything was in order and that the guests were well and comfortable. Babu was a ray of sunshine and served all the massalachai and coffee we dreamed of - and with a smile helped us finish breakfast with tea on the terrace. When we checked out we discovered that as an extra service the hotel checks if we have left anything in the room and Ajay found my husband's computer cord - a big help. We'll be back.

From the moment we arrived at 2.00am we were given a royal welcome. This was the start of Indian hospitality at its best. Leela truly is a modern Palace. The surroundings are amazing. The staff are so incredibly friendly, and helpful, and continually ask if there is anything else they can do for us. We dined at the Cube restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Incredible food and service. Every member of staff from the Master chef Rani who came out several times to ask if everything was ok, to the waiting staff including Mohit and the many others (I can’t remember all their names), were fabulous. At our last meal, the delightful Junior Sous Chef Grace was fabulous and had two special personalised dishes created for us. Awesome service! Anchita on reception for our final checkout was delightful. The staff even weighed our bags before departing to ensure our bags were under 23 kgs. Anchita even came out to the door for the (complimentary) Limo transfer to the airport to wish us farewell, safe travels and come back soon!
The standard of service is exceptional!

This is the best hotel I've stayed in anywhere, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels (including a number of 5* hotels in Delhi). Rooms are beautiful. Service is impeccable. Food is great! Drivers are top-notch (thanks Arapan!) Airport pickup is seamless (thanks Govind!). Gym is very nice, there's a free sauna and relaxation room.

Splurge for the club floor - free food all day, personalized service, etc. Our key dtopped working (we had requested a late check out) and someone was there to replace our key and let us in the room in about 60 seconds. The hotel even assisted my friend in showing her how to put on and wear a saree. Really can't think of anything bad to say at all. I will never stay anywhere else in Delhi - I'm a loyal Leela Palace customer for life!

We have been staying at Leela for about 2 weeks now and it couldnt be better. ALL the staff are just wonderful and make us feel right at home. We wanted to point out how great our floor manager, Faizan and Room Keeper, Sumit are. They have made the stay so comfortable, making sure we always have fresh flowers and are stocked up on fruits and cookies for our room. They are always asking if we need anything and anytime the room is cleaned, Sumit does a great job and it is left spotless. We are so grateful for the hospitality and continue looking forward to our stay here.

Leela Hotels is known for its unparalleled luxury and hospitality. Having been to many Leela hotels like the Leela udaipur, Leela kovalam ,Leela Palace jaipur, even Leela ambience gurugram , I expected the same level of service from this place. But right from the moment I entered this hotel which is situated in the heart of the capital I could sense that something was different. The artificial trees in the lobby which were full of dust were just a prelude to the fiasco which was to unfold. Right after this I got to know that the pool was not functional which wasn't mentioned on the site. Going into the room revealed leakage in the room window. The carpets in the room were dusty and you could feel that not much attention had been paid to details. When you pay so much for a hotel room you expect everything to be checked before you enter your room but here this wasn't the case. The water pressure of the bidet was very low.

But this was just a start. When I went for dinner in the restaurant 'QUBE' the service was equally poor. The bread which I had ordered arrived by the time I had finished my dinner . New problems in the room were revealed the next morning when I was taking a bath. The rain shower which was supposed to be fully functional was clogged and the speed of the water wasn't desirable. The service in the buffet restaurant was the same as the night before as there was no coordination between the staff.
The following morning revealed new problems in the room. The viewing angle of the LCD display in the bath tub was such that it was not properly visible while taking a bath. Again a consequence of lack of attention while preparing the room.
The spa was also not at par with other hotels of the same league. Proper time was not given while preparing the body for massage and despite having one of their top massages we were told that this is only a part of the 'Signature' massage.

Lastly, I would like to advise anyone who is considering staying here to think about other options like ITC Maurya , Taj Palace ,etc. which offer a much better service for a far less price. (This suggestion comes from a previous experience of having stayed at ITC Maurya).

Thank you for being our guests at The Leela Palace New Delhi and at the outset please accept my sincere apologies for your less than perfect experience with us. I am indeed very disheartened to learn about your underwhelming disappointments and would like to offer my sincerest apologies on behalf of the entire team at the palace. You are a highly regarded patron of ours and I am sorry that we caused many inconveniences to you on your recent stay with us. I feel personally saddened that we have let you & ourselves down. Your experience at various places was certainly not as per the Leela standards. My team sends their regret for not being able to live up to your expectations and is working hard to iron out these imperfections. May I please request you to connect with us at gm.tlpnd@theleela.com and share your contact details as I would like to personally discuss your concerns in detail, gather additional information, and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. We genuinely value your feedback and believe that your input will help us improve our services and prevent such issues from recurring in the future. The above notwithstanding, we would greatly appreciate if this could be treated as an isolated incident as this is not something what the Leela stands for and I hope that you will give us another opportunity to make amends as well as showcase our improvements to you in the near future. Yours sincerely, Anupam Dasgupta, Vice President & General Manager

This is definitely a luxury hotel! Every detail is thoughtful and attended to by staff. The rooms were spacious, clean, and modern, and the entire hotel smelled amazing due to their fresh flowers everywhere and amazing botanical bath products in the rooms and spa. We were welcomed with tuberose leis upon arrival, and the lobby was filled with bouquets of dozens - if not hundreds - of roses and stargazer lilies.
The rooftop pool area was a quiet and peaceful retreat without a lot of splashing kids. The spa and fitness center area included a peaceful resting room, full workout machines and equipment, dry and steam saunas, and all the amenities, and was open for anyone's use, regardless of whether or not you chose to also book a treatment. We had a flight at midnight, and check-out was 12 noon. They stored our luggage, allowed us to stay on the property, use the pool, and shower and clean up at the spa before we left for the airport.
Prices for food, drinks, and rooms were pretty much identical to American prices, so very expensive by Indian standards, but worth it for the luxurious experience of feeling all the staff would genuinely do anything they could to make you happy or comfortable. It was easy to trust all the food was clean and safe for Western stomachs, even the fruits and vegetables. There are several different dining options, from a huge breakfast buffet in the Qube / diner, to specialty restaurants for Indian, Japanese, or Italian foods. The Library bar is an adorable, unique and quaint setting.
Raul, a server at Le Cirque was particularly warm and friendly. Disha, a front door and bell desk attendant, made my stay especially memorable by answering all my questions about Hindu diety statues in the lobby and telling me tidbits about the culture and reasons behind certain customs. The concierge were extremely responsive and helpful in getting us cars when we wanted to go out in the city. We got a taxi for four hours for INR 1500, which is about USD $20 (he just waited for us as we would go into businesses or locations and be right there when we came out).

Don’t know about Udaipur but at Delhi Diplomat colony you can go for dinner or lunch and enjoy looking around. I suppose it would be the same at udaipur. They also have special festivals celebrations where one can buy tickets and enjoy the luxury. Use of pool spa etc would probably have admission charges. Would be gyro call the hotel and get appropriate info.
