We first stayed at a Leela in Udaipur, 4 years ago, and it was memorable for the setting, quality of service and fitting out of the rooms. On a follow on brief visit to Delhi, we did not even consider anywhere else, on this basis, and we were not disappointed! the LP in Delhi is stunningly beautiful throughout. The quality of the restaurants is what you would expect from a 5-Star property, and the staff at every level were exemplary. Particular thanks to Manipal at the concierge desk, and Faizan who took such good care of us and the suite, and Suresh our driver who navigated the challenges of driving in Delhi assuredly. The only slight hiccup was timings around arrival of the Hotel cars for the excursions, but otherwise a top-notch experience in every respect.
Even the Gods are asleep at 2.45 am in Delhi but not the good people of the Leela Palace hotel. As soon as we landed and walked through the security gates, I got a call from Govind, the hotel airport representative, that he was waiting for us outside. I wasn’t worried as the hotel has never failed me rain, hail or thunder! Whisked away efficiently into the luxurious BMW 7 series car, my phone connected instantly to the car's Wi-Fi, resuscitated, and jumped alive with a hundred beeps and rings. Shishu Pal, our driver, greeted us enthusiastically, informed us of the birth of his baby daughter Arahita and made plans for the afternoon. As usual, the doormen - the best in Delhi, greeted us warmly, and Ajit asked about the rest of the family. The security personnel welcomed us with Namaste and huge smiles. Our bags disappeared to reappear miraculously in our room after 20 minutes. Stepping inside the double doors of the palace hotel, it only gets more breathtaking. The three guest relation executives give us a traditional welcome which I love and never get tired of. Inhaling the fragrance of the tuberoses in my garland deeply, we were ushered directly into our room, where check-in took all of two minutes. Numb to the outside bustle, we crashed instantly and surfaced in the afternoon with excellent Darjeeling tea brought to the room. Preeti had arranged our PCR tests in-house for our return journey, so that was a breeze, and we set out ready to explore. Shishu Pal was waiting for us. Sunil is present at the bell desk, smiling as always. Gurcharan, the doorman, and all the security personnel welcome us warmly. Around midnight we felt peckish and requested the magical combination of Chili cheese toast with extra green chili, crispy golden French fries, Hakka noodles with vegetables and extra garlic and hot sauce, Shitake mushroom and tofu dumplings with soy ginger sauce on a bed of jasmine rice. There was complete silence as we devoured the utterly delicious piping hot meal, raising our head only to tuck into the iconic and decadent chocolate dessert – the molten chocolate lava cake. It was a tiny cake, but honestly, the lava flowed like a volcano. This was definitely not the dinner my mother ever served. A big thank you to the Chef for conjuring up this unparalleled meal in the middle of the night. The following day at the Club Lounge, Gaurav helped us place our baked goods orders at the hotel bakery to be delivered around the city. I missed a few familiar faces at the Lounge, but then the last year has been uncommonly unkind to Delhi residents. Back to the airport in the afternoon, where Prakash met us at the curbside and helped us inside the airport until immigration. The hotel staff is simply phenomenal. Particularly impressive is the team's longevity, some of whom I have been seeing since the day the hotel opened, and that sense of investment in each of them. As Preeti said, the hotel looked after them during the pandemic, and the least they could do was the same for the hotel. I have stayed at several hotels in New Delhi and cannot dream of staying anywhere other than The Leela. I am so appreciative that a place like this that values customer service still exists. The Leela is an example of excellent hospitality and how business must be conducted, which is an art we are losing fast. The overall service and the facilities are beyond exceptional, beyond five stars. The Leela is the best hotel I’ve ever had the privilege to stay at. It is truly a place I never want to leave, and if I do, it is with the hope that I return soon.…
Good day. I would like to share our experience of staying at Leela Palace, New Delhi. The service, etc., can not be discussed, since it is clear without it that it is at the appropriate level. I would like to mention those whose work is not always noticeable, but a lot depends on it, and the mood for the whole day, and staying in a certain mindset , and ultimately health, too. I would like to especially mention the work of the driver of the Hotel, - *Dimeshwar Prasad. In those days while he was with us, he was like the sun shining in the sky, especially in a situation when it was so necessary… We then came with my family for a medical checkup. His pleasant disposition, smile, at the same time responsibility and seriousness, involvement and sensitivity, kind heart, I think can half cure even a seriously ill person). This is very important when the staff does not just do their job, but does it with a soul. With a pure soul and with all heart. I would like to meet more often in our life such people whom I can rightfully call healers. Healers of the soul. It's so simple, but so important. Thank you Dimeshvar. May God Bless you🙏🏼 Lola Sai…
Upon landing at Delhi International Airport, we were met by exceptional staff provided by the Leela Palace Hotel. Now, when staying at a place like the Leela Palace, you expect (and get) top notch service at all times. And, great service it what we got, from the hotel’s airport supervisor to Aryan at the concierge (who single handedly rescued our lost luggage from a clueless airline). But, nowhere was this outstanding service more apparent than with our driver, and eventually, personal city guide, Kranti M. Kranti is, hands down, one of the best hospitality professionals I have ever seen. Friends of ours who had previously visited Delhi’s Leela Palace raved about him before our trip, so we knew he’d be nice, but simply had no idea how amazing he actually was. In addition to being one of the hotel’s dedicated drivers (Kranti has use of the hotel’s ultra-luxurious BMW 7-series), he also has a gift for making you feel important to not only the hotel, but to him, personally. In return for this, he will see to your every request (even if it’s outside his regular duties). After spending some time with him on the drive from the airport, we decided to accept his offer to take us around the city. This included a half day and evening in Old Delhi, and a full day exploring the many wonderful attractions New Delhi has to offer. He saw to our desire for taking a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi, a ride on the tuk-tuks (he advised us against it, but when we insisted on trying them once, so he went with us), personally guiding us through the spice markets, monuments, and even set us up with an amazing dinner experience at a local restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine (we loved him so much, we invited him in and brought him dinner). The best part, though, was the pictures he took. Kranti documented our entire stay by taking pictures of our activities and suggesting hundreds of beautiful scenes and poses. At the end of each adventure, he would send all the pictures to us directly via WhatsApp. They were fantastic. I could go on and on about how amazing he is, but I’ve already went on long enough. Just know that he is professional, caring, protective, and in our case, became a genuine friend. He is an ambassador for the best Delhi has to offer, and we would consider a return trip just to spend time with our friend again.…
Excellent house keeping service. Great food option. The most friendly staff I have ever experienced. Mr. Faizan and Ms. Kanika provided exceptional service. Plus a speedy laundry service by Ms. Siya.
Sulabh was really good and welcoming us while serving lunch at the Qube restaurant we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and recommend everyone to come at the Leela palace it is amazing especially the ambiance
An amazing experience with incredibly professional and warm people who truly care about their guests. Mona and Naresh Rana were amazing to my family at our last stay. They treated my mom who is elderly with white glove service ( as well as my family) which made navigating the airport and hotel a truly lovely experience. I can’t express enough gratitude!!!! The Leela Palace is the best of India and humanity!!
We loved our guide and new friend Kranti! After meeting him as first our Leela Palace driver from the airport, we knew he was something special. Sure, we have friends that told us to request him, but he was better than even their glowing recommendation. He quickly because our trusted advisor for the entire trip, and the best darn guide we’ve ever had, anywhere. The hotel encourages him to attend to guest’s needs beyond being a driver (of a beautiful BMW 730), and that’s exactly what he did. He personally guided us around Old Delhi’s spice markets, the city, and even joined us for dinner. He is genuine, kind, and watched over us like a brother. The pictures he took of our touring adventures were simply perfect. He took hundreds of them. All of them thoughtful and excellent quality. If we could have stayed for another day just to spend more time with him learning about India’s rich culture, we would have. I hope to bring my kids back some day to do just that! Thank you Kranti, we love you!…
Abhishek was good and the spread was excellent. However, the service time and the turnaround could he improved. Good experience overall for the money. The Qube was well occupied while the others are less subscribed
The service here is unrivaled, and the staff is absolutely exceptional at what they do. Ajay, our server at The Qube, took such incredible care of us, introducing us to both the food and culture that we were visiting. He was kind, courteous and so welcoming! So appreciative to him and the rest of the Leela team for making our stay so enjoyable.
