Detailed Reviews
We booked through a travel agency‌, and this was the hotel we were provided in Delhi. The hotel itself was pretty sub-par. They had clean rooms but hot water was available at designated times only (morning and night) and the TV in our room wasn't working. The breakfast options were pretty bad, very poor choices of items, which aren't chaneg frequently either. Overall staff was pretty helpful though. For the price we paid, there were definitely better options nearby. The hotel is located in some of the narrower road areas of New Delhi, however, location wise it was close to Connaught Place, near to metro stations, and had local shopping close by as well. However, for some the local area environment might seem a bit too unhygienic, as the hotel is right next to a wet market area.
Overall, if you get discounted prices, it might be worth, but I would Suggest to keep this as a last option.

The staff here comes on to be a bit rude and they are a bit arrogant when it comes to special services.
Cleanliness and room quality was average and the food to was very average.
Please make sure that you book the AC room on websites as the cheaper rates are for the non AC rooms and they charge very high prices for the upgrades.

We booked this property from agoda booking site following a deal. This is closer to Connaught place and in outer fringe of Paharganj market area. The property offfers decent rooms to stay with friendly and helpful front desk. The kitchen staffs were very prompt in service and the food served were also good both in taste and quantity..Rooms were clean and we slept well. The market outside is very rich in variety both fruits and other daily requirements.R.K Ashram metro station and Rajiv chowk Metro station in Connaught place is in walking distance.
From the hotel if you cross Panchkuan road you will reach Kalawati Saran Hospital and LHMC.The hotel also provides limited parking space.
Overall experience is good. Strongly recommended. .

It was a great five day stay at Grand Uddhav Hotel. First of all it it is very centrally located in the Paharganj area and if you like the hustle bustle of the town then it is a place to go. It is a relatedly new hotel that’s why some people might struggle to find it but you can simply say that it’s opposite to Tadka 486 restaurant or just two minutes walking distance from Hari hotel and there you have it.
Location is very good from connectivity perspective because you will get tons of autorickshaws, even the Metro line is very close to it and the Connaught Place area is also just I guess 5 to 6 minutes from the auto. The hotel was spacious we e stayed at the deluxe room which we are quite spacious; the most important criteria for us was the hygiene and cleanliness on which the hotel does score a very high rating because everything was squeaky clean. Moreover all the staffs were very polite and surprisingly the food was also good. I just have a suggestion that don’t go for their Chinese items because they are not so good however the North Indian dishes such as chicken curry and Paneer masala they are simply delicious. The manager Pratik was exceptionally cordial and also helped us out with our itinerary because we stayed in Delhi during the covid times. Overall, I think it was a very good stay at the hotel the price is also very competitive and the lot of options restaurants to explore in the neighboring region. One thing I like most about Paharganj area is that you will get tons of mobile fresh fruit juices stalls which I did not find even in Connaught Place area so for me it was a big +ve point.

There was no heat in the room. I only need a room for 6 hours. I was told that I could be provided extra blankets or pay more money for a room with heat. When I woke up at 0300 to leave for my next destination I discovered there was no hot water in my room. Bad experience.

We stayed here between 25th to 27th Aug'21. We had booked 2 triple rooms for 6 persons @ discounted rates. On arrival the triple rooms shown were having lots of problems, flush of toilet not working, shower choked, room ac not working etc. When complained they provided us 3 double rooms, only after taking up the matter with booking website : booking.com.
The construction of the hotel is very new and good but maintenance is very bad. The approach to hotel is through densely congested market and taxi cab take lot of time reaching there even from NDLS rly stn. The service staff is lethargic and least interested in attending /solving complaints. There were problems in these rooms as well but we somehow managed. The food from hotel is tasteless and highly charged. It seems they are getting it from outside source.
However, while leaving they produced bill for 3 rooms that too on full rates. The booking website : booking.com was not able to solve the stalemate. Ultimately, we had to pay the same as the front desk staff was in a fighting mood. The front desk staff is always in a mood to quarrel and abuse the hotel guests. At time of check-in we found them arguing with another customer who wanted to submit his PAN Card as ID proof, refusing to accept the same.
In essence, stay here at your own risk and be ready for verbal altercation and humiliation, particularly if you don't have any other choice.

After an 8 hour trip from Jaipur we arrived at the hotel to find out that it was overbooked and we didn’t have any rooms. We booked the hotel 2 months ago and this is unacceptable. The hotel manager reallocated us to another hotel that belongs to the same owner. After guaranteeing us we would get better rooms for the same rate we found out this was not the case. Very poor experience and a very bad service from their side. I’m definitely not coming back to this hotel.

Their front desk staff (especially Manoj Kumar) didn't even greet or speak to us properly. Their terms and conditions on make my trip don't even mention that 2 males and 1 female friends are not allowed in one room. We were ready to take 2 rooms on spot but they were not ready to agree that their terms and conditions were incomplete on make my trip. They talked to us so rudely and looked at us with a negative intention. I decided to just cancel my stay there and contacted Make My Trip who agreed of the incomplete mention of the policy as it was newly introduced. They provided me full refund on the check in day itself.
Their hotel is on a very crowded road in inner market, and I couldn't believe that their main entrance leads to the basement parking as well!! There was a car and a bike that drove through the lobby towards the end parking. The lighting in the lobby was also dingy. Never going back to this hotel don't go by their ratings on booking.com or makemytrip etc.

Hotel: we stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for what we needed. The room wasn’t ready for us when we arrived, but granted it was 5am. They got us into the room by 8am and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us complimentary bottles of water throughout our stay. There were no windows in our room so this was a small downfall.
Location: the location made the experience for us! The hotel is right in the middle of a crazy market but as soon as you go into the hotel you feel away from it all and there is no noise in the room. There are always tuktuk’s waiting outside to take you wherever you need to go and there is a metro line at the end of the road. The location is fantastic!!
We would stay again.

Do not book this place under any circumstances.
We should have had our suspicions raised when we first booked on booking.com. The hotel website says that we pay the hotel on arrival. Once booked you then get an email from the hotel directing you to a third party website to pay for your room. If you don’t pay, they cancel your booking.
We checked in late after our flight from Singapore. It was 10pm. If we had arrived earlier in the day we would have turned around there no then and walked straight back out. The place was filthy. The sheets were stained and the towels were a horrible off white colour where they hadn’t been washed properly. The tv has one tv Chanel in Indian. We had nowhere else to go and we had a small child so we had to stay. The hotel is in a back street where traders are selling things almost around the clock. The streets are filthy and there are rats everywhere. All through the night there was banging of doors. You just can’t sleep. There is a small window in the room overlooking a back house who were cooking something until the early ours. The disgusting food smell was constant in the room. You can only get hot water in the room for a few hours a day, there is no fridge, no safe. No air conditioning and no heating.
We had a trip planned to Agra the next day so we booked to stay at a different hotel for our return after the trip and checked out.
This property proudly displays an 8 out of 10 rating on booking. Com.I have no idea why. It’s terrible. If you want to sleep, stay somewhere else.
