We stayed here when we first arrived in Delhi. We booked this hotel from all the great reviews we read. The hotel was clean but the area was a bit gritty and the hotel was a bit hard to find. There were lots of stairs. Breakfast was ok.
Lovely stay in the centre of Karol Bagh, short and safe walk to the market. Really good service with a smile and they even gave us a tour to where the local ATM was. Nice breakfast to start the day and super comfortable beds. Would come back!
I booked this hotel after doing some research on TripAdvisor. I reached Delhi airport at midnight and took a cab which took around 25 minutes to reach to this hotel. I couldn't find this hotel due to darkness and called the reception for help. Reception guy came out looking for me and finally I checked in at around 1.30 AM. Check-in was swift. I was amazed when I entered the room. The room was cozy and spacious. The water glasses and flush toilet had a label that it has been sanitised for your safety. Bathroom had all the necessary kits. Room had a mini bar, chairs and table, kettle, good lighting and classy furniture. I informed them at check in time that I will be needing 4 boiled eggs at 7 am for breakfast when they told me the breakfast options. One can choose from American, continental and Indian breakfast options. Fixed serving is provided for breakfast. The hotel is centrally located with karolbagh metro station at 5 minute walking distance. Areas like Connaught place and chandni chowk are at a distance of 15-20 minutes in metro train. I had a wonderful 2 night stay and would definitely recommend this as a great option in Delhi.…
A couple of things to consider, 1. The room is slightly on the small side and 2. Lots of stairs to climb if your on the top floor. As a 2 star establishment, it really shows up accommodation of higher ratings. The room is spotlessly clean, the bathroom small but modern with all the amenities you could want. Breakfast was simple but freshly prepared and tasty. Location is in a quiet residential area but close enough to the metro station and a huge market/ shopping area. All of the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.
We, me & my colleagues, stayed here for a night on a Business trip. It was quiet clean, tidy and hygienic. The rooms are also cozy & well lit with lot of wooden decor and old wall articles. Enjoyed the stay as did not face any problems due to air conditioning or bed bugs. The only flip side is their breakfast is not elaborate & do not have any wide spread for BF. They just prepare whatever food we want with tea or coffee. The only good thing about this hotel is the location as it is very near to the market & you do not need to take a cab or auto.
We are so pleased with our stay at Wood Castle. Our room is immaculate, it's very quiet, the bed is very comfortable and the amenities are plentiful. We have a fridge, the room is large and the bathroom has an awesome shower! Mr. Khushol, the manager has made our stay here very enjoyable and my husband and I highly recommend Wood Castle to all Delhi travelers in search of a reasonably priced haven to get away from the hustle and bustle in New Delhi! Thank you to the excellent waiters and housekeeping staff, along with the kindest manager in Delhi for giving us a perfect stay!
We have had the pleasure of staying at thisb Lovely hotel with amazing hospitality. The rooms are amazing and the food is fantastic. With a central location, you can access many delights of Delhi easily. Highly recommended, especially the chilli paneer!
Hotel room was very cosy and Bed was comfortable. Value for money including the breakfast, which filled me up. The staffs were very nice and corperative. Location is a bit difficult to find on map unless you are used to the small roads.
I stay in this hotel for an official duty. The hotel is located at prime location, karol bagh metro is 600m away. Room (deluxe) was small but clean and had all basic amenities. Hotel is located inside residential area so stay was peaceful. Location is inside lane so finding it may be difficult but can be traced through GPS. I had breakfast(paratha) which was very tasty and served on time as ordered.
Stayed in this hotel with family includes my 7 yr old child on 16th May for 1 night. Booked from MMT (MakeMyTrip) got very good deal for super deluxe room with breakfast. I read about this hotel in my visit to Delhi in 2013 with family but could not stayed as we were required 2 room for 5 nights stay. But this time i got good offer on MMT and got chance to experienced hospitality of this hotel. Smooth checked in. Warm welcome with friendly staff, welcome drink when you just stepped in hotel, feeled pleasant atmosphere when you just entered hotel. I called hotel for late checked in. Spocked with hotel owner who is very warm heart, good, co operative and helpful personality. Hotel offered same room which we have seen on MMT portal while booking. Room is pleasant, wood crafted, specious, well appointed, cleaned, hygienic, up to mark toilet, excellent bathroom kit, hair drier, shower, new, un wrinkled, hygienic bed lines, mini fridge, tea maker with tea, green tea, ice tea, coffee, salt, sugar sachets. They also give you 2 bisleri bottles 500 ml each as complementary. I request another bottles next day. They gave me but did not charged for same. Well maintained split air con in room with personal control by remote. Very polite, helpful, friendly natured hotel staff. You really feel that your staying at your home. They will not disturb you for any reason in you stay. If you request directly to owner about late checked out, he will allowed you. I checked late in hotel on our stay at afternoon after visit to Air Force Museum. So we decided to take lunch in hotel as i already read about good test of food in this hotel so give chance to tried. They have kitchen in hotel up stair which make homely food. I have very much conscious about homely like lite food with Chapati/ Paratha, Dal Khichadi or Dal & Rice, no ajinomoto or spicy chilli food. We order Paratha, Dal Khichadi for child and Chinese rice by given proper instruction about test we required and they really serve us homely food after when we test food without using extra ordinary spices or ajinomoto. Only thing is rates are little bit expensive but value for money if you don't have budget for food. Hotel is in very good location in Karol bagh. Not in very inner side of karol bagh hustle bustle crowded market area where almost hotels are located. Area of hotel is very good, very easy to find, nearby railway station Karol Bagh, can find battery rickshaw or auto, medical and other things just step out on few min walking. I will definitely come again to stay here on my return journey to Mumbai.…
