The property houses it's private art collection and guests are welcome to enjoy the art - a collection of new and old paintings by India's finest artists. Ten, which has just five rooms, enjoys a wonderfully quiet location opposite a grassy green park in the classy suburb of Sunder Nagar. It seems to be particularly popular with people staying in the Indian capital for more than just a couple of days.

Being a retired 5 star hotel General Manager, I guess my comments are qualified from many years of experience. Although not a five star facility, I chose Devna for its boutique, individual friendly service and attention to detail from hosts Devna and Atul. It was a wonderful experience and a perfect base for 3 days exploring Delhi, highly recommended.

Lonely planet comment is right: Devna, which has just five rooms, enjoys a wonderfully quiet location opposite a grassy green park in the classy suburb of Sunder Nagar. With friendly owners and beautifully comfy rooms, it's a rare and relaxing Delhi gem.

We spent only one night in Devna on our way back but I wish I could have stayed longer. The place (living room and bedrooms) is great and decorated with taste. The house has only 3 rooms which are not standardised but reflect the soul of the house. The breakfast is taken in the garden together with the other guest. The ambiance is so good that the connection with other guest is easy. The neighbourhood of the guesthouse is quiet and mainly made of houses, but there are restaurants. The ambiance is very good and the staff quite helpful and friendly. So, we had a perfect stay at Devna and it is a very good place to stay in Delhi. It looks like a island of peace in the vibration of the town.

Highly attentive staff, very friendly service, nothing too much trouble. Great home-cooked food available (very reasonably priced), served in your room or in a sheltered courtyard. Only 5 rooms, you are treated as a guest rather than a client. Located in an exclusive part of central Delhi with interesting archecture from ~1930s. Quiet and leafy.
A few problems with the wifi, but they were addressed quickly.

A most beautiful place - the rooms have character, the reception is full of antiques and curios. The breakfast in the garden is a good as it gets. Wonderful and definitely a place I will return to on my next trip/.

Devna is a small guesthouse which provides a quiet and secure base for sightseeing or doing business in Delhi.
Devna is located in a quiet and park like area in New Delhi. Auto rickshaws and taxis are at end of street and a metro stop is a 5min drive or 15min walk away.
There is a park across the street where young men play cricket in the evenings and a small shopping area one block away with restaurants for every price range, a great hairdresser (wash and blow dry for NZD10) and shops selling collectables. There are also some serious high end jewellery shops for those that can afford.
My daughter (22) and I stayed on arrival in Indian and for our last night. We dealt mainly with David. While all staff were very friendly and helpful, David in particular made our stay easy. He responded promptly to emails, organised transport when needed, made good suggestions for places to visit, and generally making us feel very safe and secure on our first visit to India.

We stayed at the delightful Devna with our two teenage children for three nights at the end of a fabulous but exhausting couple of weeks in Rajasthan. It was so nice to arrive at the Devna and be able to treat it like home. On the first night we didn't really feel like going out and finding a restaurant (although it turned out there are some very nice places close by) so David organized a home cooked meal - served around the big table in the owner's meeting room because he thought we would be more comfortable there. Our rooms were lovely - very spacious and tastefully decorated - and the beds comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for David or the other staff - we had delicious home made paranthas for breakfast in the courtyard each morning, he helped me arrange to have shopping posted back home, and even let us tag along with him into the Old Delhi markets one day. The little shopping strip near the hotel is very nice, with fabulous (though expensive) antique shops. The Devna itself is a hotel/B&B with real personality and we would highly recommend it.

Overall I had a good stay. The day manager, David, was extremely courteous and nice, the night manager not so much, not rude but definitely not welcoming either. The hotel has 4 rooms only as it has undergone some changes. Location is good, a 5 minute Tuk Tuk (you can flag one down anytime) ride from a Metro Station and very quiet being in a residential neighborhood and a side street as well. Bathroom was barely ok, not dirty but not spic span clean either, with two buckets that I have no idea what were supposed to be used for... The air conditioning is either on or off, there's no way of regulating the temperature and during the night got way too cold for me, so I switched it off and turned the fan on which was enough as it was hot but not sweltering. My main issue was with the bed sheets, not really clean.
Breakfast was ok in a nice courtyard. Overall, especially for indian standards, I'd say it was ok. Just get clean sheets and it could get another star, especially for David!

I visited India very first time and was stunned to get my expectation be exceeded. I was accommodated in Devna and found it very tranquil not apposite word for a hotel but yes a place called ecstasy. The environment is inexplicable but really an exquisite place to stay. The room was very alluring and comfortable that fulfills my requirements.
I was amazed with the greeting by Mr. Manoj the prodigy and the superb service provided by him. He arranged and managed everything for us that made us grateful to him. Even the maid (forgot her name) left a mark in my mind with her delicious foodstuff.
I had a glimpsed meet with the owners, Mr. Atul and Devna, as well and found them extraordinary with their surprising gift.
I would love to stay there whenever I visit back to delhi.

There is a small hotel like 50 meters to the left with a nice inner restaurant. Otherwise you´ll have to walk at least 2-3 blocks south. "Nice" and taste are very ambiguous terms, therefore I´m not sure how to rate it, but it´s acceptable.
