Wongdhen House. The staff is not very helpful at first glance. We have rooms on different floors, the elevator appears to be unstoppable on the 3+4th floor, difficult with a lot of luggage. Rooms are small but ok, there is a kettle and bottle of drinking water available. There is no view. For dinner or breakfast you can go to the immediate vicinity. Ama café is a good recommendation. You can arrange a taxi to the airport at the reception for 1600INR + 100INR rickshaw for the luggage.
All staff are very helpful and provide any vital information and solutions to all our small and relevant needs.
Especially, at the reception Sonam and Penam and Tsetan the manager made everything easy for us at each stay.
All the younger and older workers that assisted us had a very professional attitude and we thank all of them for their always kind support.
The hotel has a lovely view to the Signature Bridge and the Yamuna river, which we could enjoy from our room and admire it from the roof top terrace at the Signature Cafe.
Outstanding mention to the Sumo Restaurant on the ground floor, from where we tasted delightful cooking at level of high cuisine.
The hotel is well connected to Airport and Bus station of Kashmere Gate or New Delhi Train station.
Wongdhen House is a very recommendable medium size Hotel in a calm spot of Delhi like Majnu Ka Tilla.
Firstly, when some of our friends joined us and checked into their room, they found that the air conditioning wasn’t working. It was an especially hot day, so they asked the receptionist if they could switch to a room with a functional AC. Unfortunately, the receptionist responded quite rudely, saying it wasn’t her concern and that her shift was over, directing them to speak to the security guard instead. This was unexpected and unprofessional behavior.
Secondly, another friend of ours, who’s from Delhi, came to visit us, and it got late. We asked the same receptionist if there was an available room for him to stay, and again, her response was unfriendly. She bluntly said there were no rooms, without any further explanation. This attitude didn’t make us feel welcome.
The room itself was just okay but could definitely use more thorough cleaning, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the window. Given these issues, we felt the price was quite high for what we received.
Overall, this experience was disappointing, and we hope Wongden House improves its customer service and room upkeep in the future.
over priced for no reason!!!
I would not recommend staying there !
Room service too poor, they didn’t even care to give you a spare bedsheets even after requesting for the same!
I asked for a discount based on the lack of hot water, this was refused. I've often stayed in this area to contribute to the Tibetan community, service like this makes it hard.

They were also very accommodative in storing our luggage at no cost if you check out earlier and want to move around Delhi as you wait for your evening flight. check out time 12pm.
