We stayed for 1 night at the Colonel's retreat at the start of our 3 week Indian adventure. What a wonderful introduction to India following our long haul flight. Greeted with banana bread and coffee taken in one of the many cosy sitting rooms dotted around the property. The room was spotlessly clean and with all the facilities you would...

We stayed for 6 days at the end of Jan/Feb and settled in very quickly. The staff are friendly and the owners offered us so much help and hospitality. They are full of information about getting out and around in Delhi and advised us on visits to events and sights that, as tourists, we might not have known about.

Staff is kind but scarce :upon arrival late at night,it took me several minutes to find a staff member to show me to the room. Room was good, bed was comfortable. However,in years of travel,I have never seen this: a tiny, used bar of soap was in the bathroom!!! So this facility recycles soap.....yuk. The next unpleasant experience came at breakfast: Bread...

This guest left without paying her bill and asked us to collect it from her local office. The local address and phone number given to us did not exist . We had to use all our resources ( we have lived in this city for 45 years) to try and locate the moved office which we did after 3 WEEKS...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is very comfortable and gives you a feeling of being at home. The breakfast is really good and you have a choice of coffee. The dinner on the roof top is great and home cooked.

I stayed 2 days at the beginning and returned for 5 days at the end of my holiday. The staff were all very friendly and the food was wonderful - ate dinner there quite a few times - freshly cooked and excellent. The hotel was very quiet but a short taxi ride from the hustle and bustle of New Delhi....

After long flight we arrived at Colonel's Retreat very late in the evening. The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The owners were very knowledgeable and were available to assist with any questions. Breakfast was very good and the banana bread was delicious. Location was short walk to good restaurants and bars.

We loved staying at Colonel´s retreat. The rooms are clean and nice. There is a small heater for the winter temperatures. You have to wait a little longer for the hot water, but you get used to it. I liked there mind set bout refilling water bottles, baking their own breads and cooking their marmalades. The people are super nice...

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and there was a warm and friendly welcome awaiting us. Paperwork etc. was left until the following morning. Our room was clean, good size and comfortable. Great breakfast including the famous banana bread - yummy! Don't waste your time looking for a place to eat in the evening, stay in and...

We arrived here after a long haul flight from the UK. We had a lovely welcome and offered tea and delicious banana bread. The room was simple but very clean, running hot water and complimentary drinking water. Good wifi. The evening meal was also delicious with incredibly generous portions and the breakfast was one of the best we had in...

Slightly off the beaten track but very comfortable, delicious food, the banana bread is to die for and a really good base for a visit to Delhi. Lots of information in the very comfortable lounge area.
