I was a bit worried about starting our holiday in a B&B. I'd read the very good reviews it was getting but still in the back of my mind I was concerned it wouldn't meet my expectations when I'm used to staying in hotels. Maybe the reviews were from people who always stay in B&B's. I need not have worried....

My wife and I spent a couple of lovely nights at Colonel's Retreat. Clean, charismatic and very friendly staff, it's the perfect place to stay where you'll enjoy a peacefulness that you just can't get anywhere closer to the city centre. It's a 5 minute walk away from a popular ex-pat nightlife area and market where you'll find great, safe...

Only stayed 1 night but enjoyed it after a few nights in a faceless city centre large hotel. Lovely welcome with delicious banana bread. Room was lovely, bathroom good too. Wifi great which certainly wasn't our general experience in India. We had dinner on the roof. Delicious. Would definitely recommend this "retreat"

My son and I stayed one night on our return to Delhi before travelling back to UK. It was just perfect - quiet location, very helpful staff and not far from the metro. Wish I could have stayed longer.. The rooms were light and comfortable and the breakfast was perfect - at last GOOD coffee and tea! Thank you!

We stayed 2 nights here and immediately felt safe in this small and friendly hotel. Everything was clean and tidy, the rooftop restaurant was lovely and the evening meal (fixed menu) was delicious and very reasonable. The only disappointment was the pack-up breakfast provided because we had to leave very early for a train journey to Agra. There's little to...

The perfect place to stay to get away from it all. A relaxing and spacious B and B with lovely rooms, crisp white sheets and excellent breakfasts. A family business where you do feel welcome. Really helped us cope with Delhi- a great city but also exhausting.

Definitely recommend this if you're looking to stay in Delhi somewhere away from all the crowds! There are only 3 rooms here so it's a very cosy place to stay, and so peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the lovely roof terrace - the food was absolutely incredible! If you stay I really recommend the dinner - we were...

A grimy tv control .....grubby corners... It was a long flight !!!.....we settled in...

What a wonderful place! We stayed at the Colonel's Retreat on the first part of our India holiday a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is bright, light, clean and has air conditioning in all rooms. We were given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home here. We travelled with my 17 month old boy and they...
