I was so pleases with this hotel and the location was great ! Excellent value for money ! Very friendly staff ! The rooms were clean and big enough for three to share comfortably ! No air con but they had ceiling fans so that was actually better! Had a fridge which was helpful. The location is right in a...

We began our most enjoyable and exciting Indian adventure by staying at the Jyoti Mahal Hotel, wrapping up our travels there as well, with return visits in between at varying points on our itinerary which included Kashmir, Chennai and Kerala. Some of the highlights of our trip were the times we stayed on houseboats, both in Kashmir and Kerala, and...

I booked another hotel with the same owner but ended up here, because there were some problems with the room in the other hotel. They offered me a very big room at Jyoti Mahal and some other freebies. I appreciated that. All I wanted was that I did not have to move back to the other hotel in the middle...

This hotel was a charming gem of a place, don't expect european standards, expect Indian standards and you'll be fine. The hotel is in a little side street, which at first appears a bit sketchy, it's not. The locals are friendly and kind, there are cows wandering around, stray dogs (harmless) and the place is busy and at times noisy....

This was our first time in India and didnt really know what to expect from any accommodation, it certainly wasnt a 3* but it was clean, room very basic, no toiletries so remember to take some with you, the roof terrace was ok, a bit shabby but had interesting things to look at so did the reception area, the huge...

Cool place. Very hippy. Nice furniture. Roof top terrace. Came for a beer and got spicy popadoms. Would return. Fairly popular with tourists . Is not what we expected when we were outside. Hidden gem in dodgy area.

I know you can't expect much else than noisy in New Delhi. This really was no exception. The rooms are really nicely decorated, we had a room with a balcony. The building is amazing. The rooftop is a nice place to have breakfast, but they also have lovely dinner dishes (also non-Indian – read: non-spicy). It is also a nice...

Came here on a very hot day and was glad that I had. Beautifully appointed rooms, courtyard and lobby. Very helpful staff. The roof top restaurant is nice. Prefer the rooms along the upper balconies, but didn't like the room I had once that was downstairs as much.

I traveled for three weeks in Rajasthan and stayed in five clean, comfortable hotels throughout. Jyoti Mahal came nowhere near the quality, cleanliness or quiet of the other places I stayed. From stained towels and pillow cases, to foul drainage smell to the sounds of sick guests echoing the halls, this place has much room for improvement. The food was...
