Detailed Reviews
A nice hotel in the heart of Old Delhi. Our room was comfortable with a warm shower - it was also astonishingly quiet throughout the night given how close to Jama Masjid the hotel is, although this may vary room by room. The rooftop bar / cafe is also handy if you'd like food but don't want to head out into the hustle and bustle of Delhi.
The hotel is well located - reasonably close to the Red Fort and Jama Masjid of course, however it was quite difficult to get to via taxi as the traffic surrounding the hotel is severe during rush hours.

This hotel is a good choice if you want to be in the heart of old Dehli. Of course you get woken up with a start by the mosque at 6 am since you are right next to it! The rooms and bathrooms are modern, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. And the price very reasonable, about 36 euros a night for a nice double room. I could give it five stars really, since I can't fault the hotel, but for the extra star, I guess it would be in a renovated historic building - since I love that kind of thing.
Actually, if they put nice chairs and coffee tables up on the roof terrace, I'd give it five stars. As it is, there is no communal area to sit and read the paper. The restaurant was closed at the time we visited. That said the staff got food in for you if you wanted it and you could have curry in your room.
If I go back to Dehli and I wantto be in the old town, and not spend much on the room, then I'd definitely consider staying here again.
Our 2 rooms were the same. Higher floors have a better view of the mosque, and there is a lift. Of course Dehli is pretty polluted, so whatever your view, you'll likely be peering through the smoggy haze!

My family and I stayed for 2 nights in AC twin rooms. The room was supplied with an electric kettle and other amenities such as a dental and hygiene kits. The shower did not have hot water, which we didn’t see as much of an inconvenience as we stayed during the summer and we were incredibly warm coming from outside of the hotel. The hotel is located in Old Delhi, close to main tourist spots such as the Chandni Chowk bazaars and the Jama Masjid, however we required an Uber/ola/tuktuk to commute to New Delhi.

And yet we have crisscrossed Asia even in its remote regions (jungle in Cambodia, islands in Thailand, moutains in China, etc,.)
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had to change rooms due to horrible hygiene. The first room was infested with cockroaches, which did not seem to surprise the receptionist. The second bedroom was even worse (we realised that a few hours after changing): in addition to also being full of cockroaches, it was even damper; in 2 days, our towels did not dry out.
The sheets were stained in the 2 bedrooms, the towels had holes. The cleaning on the floor and in the bathroom is not done... the 2 rooms were facing the mosque (and were on the first floor), they were very badly soundproofed, we slept very badly.
Only positive point: the snack bar upstairs, where you can eat on the go. Be careful though: it is very hot there because there is no shade from the burning sun.

Great budget hotel for a solo traveler, the biggest draw is the location, you will find Old Delhi’s best attractions within 2-10 minute walk. The rooms are clean and guys at the reception are helpful, can sort anything out from a headache remedy to money exchange and an emergency 3am taxi to the airport. Will definitely recommend to my friends and stay there again while in Delhi.

This hotel is walking distance from the Red Fort and markets. We stayed here for one night. The room was small with double bed, two bedside tables, and two chairs with a low couch table. There was a kettle etc. to make your own tea. The window was overlooking the mosque next door. You could hear the traffic a little bit, but it wasn't too bad. The bathroom was small but had a separate shower. Everything was clean. I really liked the restaurant on the roof top. It's quite expensive but you have a great view to the mosque next door and it feels relaxing up there. Once you step out of the hotel there are lots of people, shops and traffic. India! For shopping turn left towards the Red Fort as to the right there are only paper shops. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. They also organized a taxi for us to get to the airport. We were happy with our stay here.

If you’re going with family and depended on Ola and Uber then this place is not correct for you. Hotel management is not good, doesn’t know how to behave with guests and they over charge everything, rude behaviour, no proper room cleaning, very busy area and they take advantage of your situation and loot money for providing taxi support. Unprofessional staff. They want us to pay in cash doesn’t accept card or UPI for items ordered through their restaurant.

The hotel enjoys an exceptional location, right in front of the Mosque. The view is incredible. The staff is friendly and helpful, they kept our bags in custody for us all day. The rooms, taking into account the cost, are very good, hot water always available and cleanliness more than good. Excellent quality-price ratio. The restaurant is good. If I were to return to Delhi I would definitely come back here.

Very small hotel in the centre of Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid. Nice little hotel in a great location.
Staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile.
The bell boy was a really young and happy at all times to help genuinely surprised at receiving a tip.
Rooftop bar had a fantastic view to old Dehli and a great spot to get away and recharge from the hectic day to day of Chandni Chowk.

Mixed bag. The location is good. Bang in the heart of old Delhi. My room was opposite the Jama Masjid. Amazing daytime / evening views.
My room was dog-tired although the huge mattress was comfortable. My sheet had serval burn holes in it. And the first towel I requested from the ‘cleaner’ was stained with unwashed blood. The second was stained but ‘washed’. Yuk!
Constant noise above / below and the noise coming in from the street is incessant. Scraping of chairs on floors is endless. Music pumping from the landings although that did stop after 11pm.
The aircon worked well. The shower was powerful and the bum gun a delight. Staff friendly enough.

Yes, in Hotel Aiwan e Shahi, we happened to stay in two rooms in 1st floor (1 day) and 2nd floor (2 days), they installed individual split type AC, you can reduce or swift them off.
We took a pre-paid cab from the airport. Just ask for Mama Masjid gate 3.
Get a pre-paid taxi from the airport and tell them you want to go to Jama Masjid Gate 3, The hotel is just down the street.
Dear Guest.
As per our personal openion there is a noice outside the hotel but we have sound proof glasses on front rooms so there is a bit of noice in a day only in the evening there is no noice.
