This was our first time in Delhi, and staying at this BnB made it feel like home. Delicious breakfast, beautiful interiors, and just the sweetest people. For one early morning outing they even made us coffee and laid out bananas for us to have on our morning excursion. Such a delightful stay! Would highly recommend to anyone planning on visiting Delhi!
I stayed at the haveli for 3 nights as a stopover before returning to the UK from Goa to do some sightseeing in Delhi and Agra. Firstly the booking and payment process prior to arrival was efficient and easy which cannot be said of many similar accommodations in India. I was also able to pre book and pay for airport and excursion taxi services prior to arrival in India which was also a plus. The taxi was waiting as promised when I arrived at T1 and it is a relatively short journey to the haveli from both T1 and T3. As stated the property is in a gated community (don't expect it to be like a European one) and located very close to the entrance. It's in an ordinary looking accommodation block but once you get inside that changes and the stairs and entrance are delightful, this continues inside the haveli which has a living room, kitchen (both shared) and 2 guest rooms. All rooms are pleasant and functional. Breakfast and any beverages throughout the day are prepared for you, breakfast options being continental or Indian, I had Indian which was very good - compliments to the chef! You are free to use the kitchen to prepare your own drinks if no one is about. The fridge is also stocked with bottled water which you are welcome to help yourself to. My room had a good hot shower and plenty of storage, the bed was on the hard side. Surinder is very friendly knowledgeable and happy to chat and offer advice about Delhi and further afield. There are many information books available for you to peruse. There are restaurants at a walkable distance or you can order takeaway and eat in if you prefer. The nearest Metro station is too far to walk to really and my tuk tuk rides there and back were 50 rupees each way, though outside the Metro station drivers did try to fleece me and charge 150 – no chance! The Metro is easy to navigate. I went to Agra and the Gatimaan Express train offered a good return service in 1 day at reasonable times. One last thing, the owners have recently opened a guest house in the far north of India, super rural and with Himalaya views.…
Though I arrived hours ahead of the check in time, my room was ready, the hosts present to welcome me, and the housekeeper made me a pot of chai. I stayed twenty four hours between flights - it was peaceful, comfortable and perfect to sleep off jet lag. I was able to have bottled water or a pot of chai whenever I needed it.
A very comfortable place to stay with most amenities within reach. Awesome hosts (met only Pawan Maini as Surinder Maini was away). The staff at the BnB were warm, affable and always willing to help. The place is tastefully done and value for money.
