I visited Delhi from New York for 2 weeks due to a family emergency during the pandemic in may 2021. Villa 33 went out of their way to accommodate me during these tough times. Overall, 5 stars to Anil and the villa 33 team on all fronts. Let me give some more details: Location: very central south Delhi location, highly accessible to markets and transportation. The house is in a corner, making it quiet (hard to find in Delhi) and green (trees etc). Accommodations: very comfortable, large rooms (comparable to deluxe room in a hotel) with a well appointed bathroom and private balcony. The house itself is beautiful and very well kept. It’s not luxurious like a hotel but very comfortable and extremely warm/homely. Security (extremely important in delhi) is great both in the house and the locality. Amenities: All the essentials (including any requests) are made available. Comfortable beds and linens, plenty of good closet space and ornate furniture. Beverages and food was extremely delicious and healthy. Internet is very good, almost comparable to the western world (best per Indian standards). Staff: was extremely attentive to all my needs. Mr Anil takes personal interest to make sure guests are comfortable, and goes above and beyond. Overall, highly recommend villa 33. The experience is best described as staying at a rich Indian uncle’s house. …
This is a lovely quiet corner in South Delhi. Interesting building. Easily accessible from the rest of Delhi on the Metro. We were staying here when Delhi started shutting down for coronovirus and Anil, the owner, was very kind and looked after us. I would give this place 6 if I could.
Beautiful beautiful building. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to help. Delicious breakfast. Clean bedroom. Lovely homely atmosphere. Great WiFi connection. A tiny bit of effort to shampoo the sofas in the living room to smell better and some basic repairs in the bedrooms will turn this place into heaven!
This is a traditional BnB experience in a very nice old style villa. Everyone eats breakfast together at large table and food prepared was very good. Staff is very friendly. They even prepared some vegan friendly things for me. Anil is very nice. Really enjoyed talking with him and the other travelers. The house is in a subdivision but should be easy to find, my Uber driver found it easy and google maps has it right also. I walked about 15 minutes to Hauz Khaus area for great dinner at Naivedyam restaurant. Easy to get around by tuk tuk, metro, or uber/taxi. Will definitely stay again. Very satisfied with my room also. Comfortable, english tv stations and comfortable bed.
The fact that we started and finished our three week journey through Northern India speaks volumes for Villa 33. Superbly located in a safe quiet close, but not far from all forms of transport. Breakfast is very good and the rooms are well kept. Anil the owner, very travelled himself, shares his vast knowledge of Delhi with you to ensure that your stay is a good one. Located close to Hauz Khaus Village which has a number of good eateries, including the excellent Social, is within walking distance. We have to say that five years on from our last trip to Delhi there are positive noteable changes going on and the energy is certainly back in Delhi. Big thanks to Sankar !
Delhi is a very manic and noisy city. Villa 33 is a perfect oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Situated in a leafy suburb in south Delhi, just 2 or 3 minutes walk from the Metro station Villa 33 is perfectly situated for an easy and quick transfer to everything Delhi has to offer. Anil the owner cant do enough to help his guests and knows all there is to know about Delhi. The rooms are clean and spacious, with en suite bathrooms, the whole Villa is very colonial, with some fantastic furniture and artifacts. The Metro system is Clean, quick, efficient and to be honest very cheap!
I stayed at Villa 33 for one night and the experience was awesome. If someone is thinking about a hotel experience then this is not the place. The place is B&B style hotel with good hospitality by the owner. I had a wonderful check in experience with suggestions. The breakfast was also good especially parathas with homemade feel.
We stayed at this hotel at the end of our stay in India. It was a little above our price range as we were staying, for the most part, in more modest accommodation. But we wanted comfort at the end of our trip! That said, the rates are reasonable, especially compared to Canadian rates for similar types of accommodation. We loved our stay there, both the facility and the neighborhood. After the hustle and bustle of our month in India, it was nice to stay in this quiet and safe neighbourhood and in this very beautiful house. Our room was pretty, well appointed and comfortable. We were tired when we arrived, and they prepared a delicious home cooked meal for us. They serve a good breakfast as well. The location is so convenient. You are minutes away from the SDA market, which has some good places for coffee and a variety of restaurants, a bank and sub way stop. It is a quick tuk tuk or walk if you are ambitious to Haus Kaus Market and village. We really enjoyed the owner Anil. A very interesting, intelligent and hospitable man with a passion for the city. He engages guests and creates a home like atmosphere. I left with a great impression of this city. I would highly recommend this place.…
A brilliant place to stay in Delhi, very quiet and safe. With an amazing welcome of the own I felt like being at home. We stayed only one night but I will definitely go back. Can highly recommend. Thanks a lot.
We booked this home stay style accommodation for our last night in India. It was the nicest place we’d stayed during our 3 week trip and everything worked! A beautifully designed building in a modern clean area near Hauz Khas village. We were greeted by the owner and given a list of places to visit and eat relative to our short time there. The room was huge with great beds and a large modern on suite. They arranged our early morning taxi to the airport ( about 15-20minutes in morning and 45 mins in the afternoon). The SDA market, about 2 minutes walk away has everything you could need.
