My partner and I stayed here as part of a tour and found the rooms clean enough and thankfully air-conditioned but service very lacking. By family run,I assume they are referring to the clusters of small children running and screaming around the premise. Our group ordered food and waited an hour sandwiches and fries. Not an island I'd have chosen...

Stayed here 3 nights as part of tour. Hotel is clean & basic. Nothing much to do on Bastimentos unless you are into surfing. However, the lobster served here is great. Had it 2 nights in a row for dinner and due to the fish i wanted not being available the 3rd night, had the lobster again.

We stayed here 3 nights with a tour group, it was a nice stay. Luis and his family are very charming and make you feel welcome. The food is good at the restaurant. Upstairs rooms have a good Caribbean view as the hotel suggests! also has complimentary hammocks. bastimentos island as a whole probably isn't worth a visit so location...

We had a great time in Bocas; spending part of our trip on Bastimentos at this hotel and the remainder in Bocas Town. The food at this place was great, the owners were friendly and kind, and it was overall a great experience! I agree the accommodations are basic, "rustic" even, but the hotel is at a reasonable price point...

This is a most beautiful location on Isa Basimentos with very basic accommodations, a small hotel owned by the nicest family. The place is a bit shabby, but makes up for it with cleanliness & excellent service. The food, cooked by family patriarch Luis & assisted by his wife, daughters & grandchildren, is out-of-this-world. We were a group of 10...

We had an unusual experience, because the power was out - which meant there was no water either. That made it more rustic than usual, but the family that runs the place is great and did their best. Food was very good, and they helped us find a great hike to take to Wizard Beach, cared a lot about our...

This hotel is ok for the island. The entire island is pretty basic and literally covered in rubbish. The locals have zero respect for their home and have created a rubbish dump. If for some reason you really want to visit this island then do it as a day trip. If you want to stay here then you could do...

The best place in town for breakfast. Great pineapple pancakes and a decent cup of coffee. I didn't stay In the hotel, seemed a bit rustic, but breakfast and lunch were great. The service is slow like all of the places in town but people were friendly and kind. Coffee is a little hard to find in the early AM,...

Great location with the restuarant right at the hotel we were able to have a wonderful dining experience watching the sunsets while enjoying a bottle of wine. We were able to check out the snorkeling tour to cayo zapillas which is a must see. Great Hospitality , great food comfortable rooms with everything you will need.

This hotel is run by the most wonderful family. It's only a short water taxi ride from the main island so therefore is perfect for relaxing & unwinding. The hotel restaurant is really good and well priced. Rooms are clean, bathroom is a bit small and dark, but that's only one setback on a otherwise great hotel.
