Yes, this hostel may be noisy since it is located in a veeeeeeeery center (in front of the main square), but it is like party hostel in a party place, so it is not a surprise. Just have ear plugs with you (actually a "must have" for anybody staying in any hostel especially in a dorm room) :) Also have...

absolute scam. Paid $35 each for a shuttle to San Jose and as far as we got on the "shuttle" service was to the border where they told us someone would meet us on the other side. We got through exit/entry okay but when we got to the other side there was no identifiable person associated with the shuttle service...

Rather scruffy. First thing that you notice on arrival is a smell of a cesspool, they try to cover it with a incense stick, but it doesn't always do the job, it's particularly noticeable in the mornings. Rooms are ok-ish, but there are no lockers. Well there are some lockers at the reception, but you must share it with other...

Positive - very affordable and the dorms are air conditioned very well. There is a small kitchen and a sofa and swinging chair which is ideal for having a few drinks which you can just bring in from the super market. Staff helped us to book buses etc and had good knowledge on cheap restaurants. Negative - the showers and...

The hostel is the cheapest around so I'll not discuss the cleanliness of beds and bathroom - only expect to get what you pay for. I payed for one night not knowing if I would stay longer, when signed in the lady (manager) shows me to the room and gives me the wifi password. The light wasn't working and she...

Everything bad people been writing about this place is true. Thought it couldn't be so bad so stayed there for one night but it was. For the same money they charge for a room without ac, dirty beds and no way to protect yourself from bugs you can get a small studio with your own kitchen just 5 min walk...

I met a friend at Bocas del toro and chose the coconut Hostel for the first days. We spent 3 nights there while it was raining. The people were really friendly when we entered but this changed immediately when we had payd the rooms... The Rooms were really dark and not very clean. One evening a mouse climbed out of...

This hostel is simple but good. Yes the showers are cold, but then again there is not such a thing as cold water in Bocas del Toro. The bed was clean and comfortable, the airco worked in both the rooms I stayed in and I ended up staying longer then planned. The owner is a nice guy and eager to...
