We were a group of 6 and we were the only guests in the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious but hot water wasn't available until our last day. We were served continental breakfast and it was good with fresh fruit, egg, baked beans etc.

The hotel is close to center and many attractions They have flexible check in and out times and so kindly to change my room when requested within few minutes Room is very spacious and clean having attractive view When it comes to food they have average spread and on that particular day there were lot of Indian guests and they given food priority to Indian menus. Can give 3 out of 5 for food since some items were not that good enough considering testy level.

The staff at this hotel are so friendly and lovely. Anything that we asked they delivered on. They even moved our room because we needed a stronger WIFI signal. The laundry service was great and the clothes smelt very fresh. The rooms have been renovated to a high standard and the rest of the hotel is being worked on. Great staff, clean, great value, great views!!

I had an amazing stay with swiss residence. From the moment i arrived, the staff were incredivle frendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.their attentive service really stood out wherer it was offering helpful tips about the area or ensuring my room was perfect. Overall swiss residence offers top notoch service,especially from the front office team, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay

The most horrible service ever. We checked in yesterday that too they opened the doors for us at 3:30 pm and the ac was not working and we were sweating like pigs. They came to fix it at 10pm but it still didn't work. They did a room change at midnight. When we were dead sleepy and had to change and repack to move. We brought friends with us recommending the place. Dinner buffet they had enough foreigners but fried rice, some noodles and chicken devil and soya curry with fish curry was on the buffet. And some dark skinned very very riped unconsumable bananas. We had to wait for 20 mins for them to refill the noodles. Same scenario with the bfast the chef wanted to know how many are there to refill the sausages? We had to wait for 5 mins for them to get the pillows to the rooms. The rooms are full of dust and unclean. And they had the nerve to call us and ask to leave the room by 12pm when they had only checked us in at 3:30pm the previous day. Pls reconsider if coming here. The most terrible hotel 🤢

The place is amazing, staff is great even brought us to our room and served welcome drinks. They brought heaps of food for dinner that could feed a village and the quality is amazing. Breakfast was great. I would definitely come here again, thank you so much!

Wе stayеd at this hotеl for onе night last wееk, and unfortunatеly, our еxpеriеncе lеft much to bе dеsirеd. Upon our 7:00 PM arrival, wе wеrе surprisеd to find no wеlcomе drink, sеtting a disappointing tonе for our stay.
Thе rеcеptionist's unprofеssional bеhaviour at thе front dеsk was noticеablе, rеlying on body languagе to call guеsts and showing rеluctancе to stеp out from bеhind thе countеr. Aftеr a 15-minutе wait, wе wеrе assignеd our room, which, though еquippеd with basic amеnitiеs, fеll short of clеanlinеss standards. Thе washroom's lack of hot watеr and an unrеliablе balcony door lock addеd to our dissatisfaction. Thе WiFi connеction was also inconsistеnt.
Thе following day, our disappointmеnt continuеd as wе visitеd thе pool. It was еvidеnt that maintеnancе had bееn nеglеctеd for an еxtеndеd pеriod.
Rеgrеttably, I cannot rеcommеnd this hotеl to anyonе basеd on our еxpеriеncе. Thе only positivе notе was thе commеndablе еffort of thе housеkееping staff. I hopе thе managеmеnt addrеssеs thеsе concеrns promptly to еnhancе thе ovеrall guеst еxpеriеncе.

1) misleading information . Pictures shows its serving buffet food. After i went there they said only set menus and no selection of food, ( they should inform this prior to booking confirm) also food is not good. 2) pictures shows place is in good shape. But actual building and room bloody old, not maintain well, dirty 3) there is no lift operate from ground floor. So you need to climb every time. If you are old this is really need to consider ( this is also not mentioned on there advert properly) 4) during the power cut they not operate the generator. If there is few bookings they said "generator need a repair" 5) no proper garden, so if you with family pls try to find a another place with more space for children)

We booked this hotel for 2 nights/3 days on the long weekend in the Month of March,just before the Corona pandemic hit the country.This review was long pending as I had to make some time to list out all the pitfalls in this place one by one.Easily the worst hotel I've been to anywhere in the world and the lowest review score I had ever given to a hotel on trip advisor
1) From the outset itself it was all chaotic...the front office staff kept confusing the number of rooms we've booked and each staff member,arriving for a different shift,kept calling me to verify the number of rooms,which was all different from the original plan.They had no clue about the Child policy or their policy on extra beds and so on and kept blaming the previous guy who called,calling him a trainee and responsible for the confusion.
2)We were never served the Welcome drink even though other guests and foreigners were served.Their excuse was that we had to proceed to have our lunch before the buffet closed,so they avoided serving us the welcome drink to save time.I mean how long does it take to serve and consume a welcome drink anyway??
3)We immediately regretted our decision to even come here when we saw the so called lunch Buffet..No salads/soups or buns....Just some Fried rice,Chopsuey,Chicken Curry,Dhal,Potatoes and papadams. With Ice Cream and Jelly as Deserts.When I showed my displeasure at the restaurant manager, they quickly brought some Chicken soup,margarin and some buns to try and compensate for the sad lunch they served us.The whole menu which was available could have been packed on to a rice packet which costs 200 Rs in the streets
4) The AC in our room wasn't working and we had to sweat it out with 2 kids till around 9pm,when they finally managed to repair it.What was worst was, the AC was already broken from before and still they gave us this room knowingly and inconvenience us,without being honest about the broken AC. There was no extra bed in the room as we had paid extra and confirmed before arriving.Instead they managed to find a foldable bed at around 9pm,which was 7 hours after our arrival.
5) The Dinner was rubbish as well and that's when we decided to book else where for our 2nd night as we really didn't want to stay here in this dilapidated hotel with crappy food service.
6)Everyone in our group was disgruntled about the standard of service ( lack of standard rather) after seeing the sad breakfast buffet they served and wanted to vacate as soon as possible.So after a few calls,we checked out and went to hotel Suisse, which was a marvelous hotel with good service.
7) Even our driver was not happy as there were so many bed bugs in the drivers quarters and he had slept overnight in the vehicle.The meals served to drivers had been horrendous and he had ask for money from me and eat some thing from a restaurant in the town
All in all,I've never ever experienced such horrendous service in a hotel in Sri Lanka.better to close it down for sometime and sort out the issues,before even thinking about serving customers again
