In my opinion this is a hotel where to stay when in Kandy. Charming colonial atmosphere, great location and good service, especially the breakfast. It needs a renovation though, a good one, the bathrooms are badly outdated. I recommend you not to take a room on the lake side as the morning rumors are badly disturbing.

We stayed at Queens hotel just one night. Its a very nice charming hotel located right in front of the 'Tooth Temple". We just wanted to feel the history and thus enjoyed it. We stayed in a beatiful room under the dome on the third floor right in the center of the hotel. Its a great suit with two bedrooms,...

This hotel was clean and charming and the food buffet was good. The people were kind, especially the door man. Clean and good room and a shower! My only fuss would be the street noise from the traffic. It was VERY NOISY. You can sleep through most of it but be prepared to wake frequently from the noise, at least...

This colonial styled hotel is located in the very heart of Kandy making easy access to the temple of sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha, Kandy Lake, shopping malls like KCC and a number of fast food eateries. We stayed at Queen's on a heavy rainy day and we could make quick walks under the umbrella to the city thanks...

The hotel definitely has an old-time feel with some modern updates. There is AC in the rooms, however ours wasn't working. The wifi connection is fairly dodgy, and I couldn't get much done on it. The hot water is also kind of hit or miss; one night I couldn't get hot water no matter how long I ran the tap,...

My wife asked our driver if he knew of a hairdresser in Kandy. He was so organised and helpful he took us to the hairdresser at the Queens hotel. The doormen at the hotel were so kind and helpful and escorted us to the hairdresser. Whilst my wife was having her hair done I visited the bar. What a great...

This has faded grandeur of the best kind including a mini museum of the hotel's long colonial history. Great large old room with high ceilings but comfy modern bed. Old cage style elevator which some guests did not know how to use. Grand old bar where one can smoke if inclined. Wifi not great but ok. Breakfast not very varied...
