Without a doubt the Queen's hotel is in a envious location within the city; close to the impressive temple and the lake and city centre. It is a grand edifice and it oozes past colonial charm with a grand staircase, heigh ceilings and hardwood floors. But old buildings must be very expensive to up-keep and this has not been done...

I personally like this type of heritage hotels. The Queen's Hotel is a British Colonial style 3 star hotel with a history of 160 years. The location of the hotel is excellent, right at the centre of the city, in front of the Temple of The Tooth Relic, just beside the Kandy Lake. There are plenty of restaurants within short...

We went to Queens Hotel for dinner as it was close to the temple, we'd read mixed reviews so were unsure what to expect, but we were blown away! We arrived early before the buffet opened and so the staff showed us around the buffet pointing out all the vegetarian options for me. They settled us at a table outside...

Always relaxing coming to the Queens. Calling prior to our visits had the staff arrange everything perfectly for us.Previously had groups of our volunteers come for their buffet lunch. Lovely, helpful staff accommodating all our requests. Good variety in the buffet.

1-day visit during a week-long trip to Sri Lanka. Queens Hotel is nicely located in the heart of Kandy, just across the Temple of the tooth Relic, which is a great place to visit. Queen's Hotel has a lot of colonial charm and offers spacious rooms as well as nicely decorated halls, stairs and restaurant and bar areas. There is...

I have read some negative reviews about this hotel on other travel sites, but when we stayed at this hotel I found it to be quite good, especially its ideal location as it is right next to The Temple of the Tooth (of Lord Buddha) and just across from the scenic Kandy Lake. The rooms look old fashioned, but comfortable....

The hotel is one of the oldest blogs in kandy.the hotel staff is very professional. I would like to recommend you to check the room before you pay. The hotel is located in the heart of Kandy, you could just cross the road and you are in the temple of the tooth.

The Queens Hotel is in a perfect location in Kandy for visiting the Temple of the Tooth and looks out over the lake, making it a very attractive proposition. It is also central for most things you would want to do in Kandy, including shopping, banking and sight seeing. This central location does, however, mean that the rooms are quite...

The Location is fantastic. At the centre of the Tourist Attraction, with Shopping arcades. The Most Sacred Buddhist attraction is on one side across the road and on the other side is the sprawling lake. Nice swimming pool day and evening with poolside bars. Sprawling dining room with sumptuous breakfast and dinner. The elevator still works. Need to be careful...
