I have been using Malik since 2006 for accommodation, food, trips amongst many other things. For many mid-range hotel owners in Sri Lanka it's a challenge to handel big groups. I usually arrive with 15-20 students every year and trust Malik with all the arrangements needed. Malik can practically arrange what ever you want in Sri Lanka and will go...

We searched for a long time in the winding streets of Kandy for a place to stay. Mandy wasn't what we expected .. the hotels and guest houses were all spaced apart in the hills with no proper restaurants or shops nearby. You were bound to your hotel for food or a nice walk to the busy section north west...

The place is not the same as was when Lonely Planet guy was here. The big hotel opposite on the road obstructed all the view so the outdoor eating is not a big thing anymore. The room was big and basic and airless (no AC) and loud. The bathroom is old, you need to ask half hour before you want...

Lonely Planet does a good job describing this place. Malik the owner is great, affable and helpful. Rooms are very basic but clean with surprisingly comfortable beds. Bathrooms are large and with hot water, but water pressure is almost non-existent. Outdoor eating areas are really nice, although unfortuantely the OZO hotel across the street has obstructed the view. As you...

Not only is the food here some of the best we ate whilst in Sri Lanka, but Malik (the owner) and his staff were incredible generous. They went out of their way to assist us organising a train journey on from Kandy. They helped us buy the tickets (even though we weren't staying at the hotel) which involved turning up...

We stayed four people in a four bed room for three nights. Clean and cheap. Decent breakfast at a fair price. Friendly staff. Stable WiFi and a cozy terrace. Only negative was a leaky bathroom ceiling. All in all a pleasant stay.

Three of us stayed here for two nights and the hotel and restaurant were very nice. We were picked up from the train station free of charge, and our rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. There wasn't much of a view, and some building work next door made it a bit smelly at times, but the staff were excellent...

We stayed across the road at OZO and came across to Mango Garden for dinner on our last night in Kandy. The banquet was delicious and the staff were able to cater to vegetarian dietry requirements. In total is was only 900 lkr per person for 6 curries, rice, papadums and dessert. Would definitely recommend to any friends in the...

The mango garden is a great experience which has friendly staff that welcome you to a massive room, comfy bed and a warm shower. It has a beautiful view on the balcony, (which does have WiFi) of the whole town and the outstanding mountains and temple! During the day you can have a fun, pleasant walk around the lake (it is very...
