We stayed a night here during a short trip. The room was basic but not unexpected at this price. Friendly welcome although a 10 minute tuk tuk from town, (makes for a bit more sightseeing!) Great private breakfast next to the pool and friendly staff.
We stumbled on the blue haven office when we couldn't get a ticket for the train to kandy at Colombo station. The owner of the business was very helpful and didn't try to rip us off when pricing our trip.

We had a two day trip around the beautiful areas of Kandy, Pollunawura, Dambulla and Sigiriya. Our driver Danu was a brilliant guide, bringing us to temples and scenic areas we would never have found by using public transport. Highly recommended.
The guest house part of Blue Haven is average at best, room could have used a thorough cleaning, lots of dust and webs especially in the bathroom. Showering with a cockroach crawling up my leg wasn't too pleasant either. I know this is Sri Lanka...More
We had a great day trip from Kandy to Sigiriya with our driver Danu. It was all very easy to arrange beforehand, including a reasonable price and pick up from our hotel. Danu was a great guide, knowledgable and suggesting a few places to visit...More

You can also asked for a packed breakfast (ask the night before) if you need to leave really early. We had a 5 am bus trip one morning and they prepared us breakfast to take on the road...an egg sandwich and some fruit!
